| A report on the investigation of the kidnapping, in June 2002, of 14-year-old Elizabeth Smart from her Salt Lake City home. Nine months after being abducted, Elizabeth has been reunited with her family, having been found walking the streets of suburban Sandy, Utah with a couple now under arrest in the case: Wanda Ileen Barzee and her husband, Brian David Mitchell. Prompted by information supplied by the only witness to the kidnapping, Elizabeth’s younger sister Mary Katherine, police had been looking for Mitchell, a self-styled street preacher known as Emmanuel. | |
