| In July 2004, 27-year-old Jarrod Davidson was shot to death outside his apartment in Santa Barbara, California. Estranged from his ex-wife, Kelee, Jarrod had been scheduled to go to court to try to get full custody of his daughter Malia. After further investigation, Kelee’s parents, Philip and Mindy Jones, were arrested for the murder of Jarrod Davidson. Philip confessed to the killing, but only securing and agreement from prosecutors that his daughter Kelee would not be tried for the murder. Mindy Jones claimed amnesia, but was also found guilty of murder. Kelee was allowed to plead guilty to three lesser charges: accessory to murder and two counts of perjury. She was sentenced to four years in prison. | |
