Tammy Pescatelli and her husband Luca moved from the flashy, show-business life of Los Angeles to the simple, small town life of Meadville, Pennsylvania to raise their son Luca. Luckily, the transition was made easier since most of her family lived in Meadville. Here’s a look at some of the key connections most of Tammy’s family has in the town.

1902 — Pietro Simonetta (Tammy’s great-grandfather) arrived from Sicily via Ellis Island to Meadville, PA. He went to work on the Erie Railroad.

1909 — Pietro Simonetta (see photo) married Francesca (Tammy’s grandmother) . They had 10 children, of which one passed away in infancy. 

Mid 1930s — Rose (Tammy’s grandmother) and Madeline (Tammy’s aunt) were founding members of the first woman’s social organization in Meadville,  The Reale Club. (Below: Photo of Rose)

1956 – 1962 — George X. Simonetta (Tammy’s great uncle) was a noted attorney and was elected Mayor of Meadville. (Below: Pictured here with John F. Kennedy)

1951— George Barco (Tammy’s cousin – 3rd generation) almost single-handedly brought cable television to Meadville, an area that, surrounded by mountains, had poor TV-antenna reception. He and his daughter, Yolanda, used their law degrees to shape most of our country’s cable television laws.

1947 — Peitro “Patrick” Simonetta (Tammy’s great uncle) opened Pat’s Market. Later on, Patrick and his son Peter, opened Pat and Pete’s Mobile Homes. Patrick was known for his real estate developing along with two of his brothers, Russell (the physician) and George (the mayor) and their cousin George (see above).

1950 — Mary Frances (Tammy’s mother) was born to Rose (Tammy’s grandmother) and Joseph (Tammy’s grandfather) in Meadville, PA.  They later took her and their two sons, George and Peter, to Ohio. (Rose and Josephn pictured on their wedding day.)

1977 — Donahue’s Home Center opened. It was owned by Jack and Franny (Tammy’s great aunt and uncle).Their children (Tammy’s cousins) went on to open FIBRO Tool, a tool and die shop and Dan Donahue’s Classic Auto.

1982 – 1986 — Patrick Donahue (Tammy’s cousin), a former National Merit Scholar, was elected to city council.

2008 — Luca and Tammy get married and moved to Meadville where son Luca was born (photo below).

Late 2008 — The rest of Tammy’s immediate family moved to Meadville.

2011 — Tammy and Luca opened Integrity Auto.
