Celeb happenings this week include drama with Christian Bale, Kim Kardashian, and the Bachelor

Starring in a hit movie and having a knock-down drag-out brawl with family members might be hard for some people to handle, but not for Christian Bale. Batman apparently had some sort of a confrontation with his mom and sister in a London hotel that escalated to the point that mom and sis went to the cops. This supposedly all started when Mom said something insulting about Bale's wife, Sibi. The weirdest part to us isn't the lashing out at family members or the notion of said family members reporting Bale to the police, but how the incident somehow brought to light the fact that Sibi was a personal assistant to Winona Ryder. And let's not forget that Bale's step-mom is Gloria Steinem--if only for when you're playing "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" and need to find a way to connect Ryder to Steinem.

But Bale isn't the only member of the Dark Knight cast to potentially have some questionable family members. Heath Ledger's dad is apparently moving forward with the plans Ledger was making to open a Brooklyn bar. Is it just us or does spending estate money on a bar when the person died in a drug overdose just plain weird?

Still, we all make faulty choices--particularly, it seems, if we're cast on The Bachelor. Yes, it's true. While we don't want to shock anyone into dropping their cup of coffee in surprise, Matt "The Cutest Bachelor Ever" has broken things off with Shayne "Daughter of Lorenzo" Lamas. Honestly, you've got to admire the sheer optimism of these people they cast. We're 12 seasons in and have only one couple to show for it. Now, we're no mathematicians, but doesn't it seem like the chances of two strangers meeting on the street, and falling in love, have got to be better than that?

While predicting love seems to be challenging, there are some things that are guaranteed to happen. Topping that list is this: any time Kim Kardashian is going to open her mouth, it's certainly not going to be addressing, say, the crisis in Sudan. The latest newsworthy (read: silly) event in Kardashian's life is that she had some sort of a less-than-pleasant interaction with Shanna Moakler (who never really succeeded in becoming known for being married to Travis Barker from Blink 182, despite the fact that they had a reality show about how fantastic they were).

True to reality show karma, no sooner had the show aired that the two were breaking up, getting back together, occasionally canoodling with Paris Hilton and, it seemed, doing anything two people possibly could to keep their names in the paper.

Anyway, the latest is that apparently Moakler thought Kardashian was after Travis and some sort of sass-off went down, after which a whole lot more ink was wasted on this interaction between a slew of people who all seem to deserve each other. In other news, Kim is hinting that she'd like to be on Dancing with the Stars which, it should be noted, didn't work out so well for Moakler.

Who says Christian Bale is the only one in town who can handle a whole lot of drama?
