Spears reclaims her fame at MTV's big award show. What's next for the pop princess?

The much-anticipated MTV Video Music Awards aired Sunday, September 7, but the show has since met mixed reviews from audiences. U.K. host Russell Brand has been catching a lot of flak for his series of jokes attacking the Jonas Brothers' public oath to virginity.
American Idol Jordin Sparks lost her cool with the comedian and quipped back, "not every guy and a girl wants to be a TK," upon hitting the stage to present an award. Nevertheless, it was a great night for the one and only, Britney Spears. The pop princess stole the show, taking home three trophies, including one for Video of the Year. So, what next? Reports say Brit is busy working on her next album, logging 12-hour-plus days in the recording studio. We can hardly wait!

Beyonce's Bling-Bling
They may keep mum about their romantic life (the couple has yet to publicly confirm their legal union), but one thing is definitely confirmed for "Hov and B":  Jay-Z has expensive taste! Beyonce Knowles finally revealed an 18-carat, emerald-cut diamond engagement ring at NYC's highly publicized Fashion Rocks event, September 5. The rock is estimated to have put Jay-Z out $5 million, practically chump change for the hip-hop mogul. Jay-Z publicly rocked his wedding ring for the first time on July 29, but has since been inconsistent. The duo secretly tied the knot on April 4, 2008 in a NYC ceremony.

Though news of their split is hardly breaking, reports have surfaced that actress Anne Hathaway was shelling out $37K to cover monthly rent for her beau's lavish digs during the final months of their courtship.  On June 23, Follieri was arrested at his parents' Trump Tower apartment and hauled out in handcuffs on money laundering and wire fraud charges. Though, it doesn't look like Hathaway is crying into her pillow at night. The Devil Wears Prada star attended the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO, and was seen getting cozy with actor Josh Lucas.

Hollywood has a new mommy! Actress Minnie Driver, 38, welcomed a baby boy--her first child--Henry Story Driver on September 5 in Los Angeles, CA. Driver has not disclosed the identity of the father of her 9 lbs., 12 oz. addition, but told the U.K.'s Independent that he is English and hints he is "sort of in the same business." The new
dad is rumored to be San Francisco musician Craig Zolezzi.
