Barbecue sauce is a cinch to make, especially since most of the ingredients are probably already sitting in your pantry. This is my go to barbecue sauce and it is delicious. I use it as a marinade for chicken when grilling, and as condiment for burgers or pulled pork.
Makes 3 1/2 cups
1 1/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup light molasses, such as Grandma's
1/4 cup less-sodium soy sauce, such as Kikkoman
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1 tablespoon orange zest
3 cloves garlic, minced
5 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 bay leaves
1. Combine ingredients in a 3-quart saucepan. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves and sauce thickens, about 15 to 20 minutes. Use immediately or refrigerate any unused sauce in an airtight container. Sauce may be prepared 1 week in advance.

The barbeque sauce sounds wonderful. I do a lot of grilling and will try the recipe this weekend.
