Cocktail: Grapefruit Fizz

For me, winter is all about citrus and I use it in all of my kitchen creations, especially cocktails.

Grapefruit Fizz
Makes 2 servings

• 6 ounces fresh grapefruit juice
• 3 ounces white rum
• 1 ounce simple syrup, Italian grapefruit soda, such as Villa Italia from Trader Joes
• lime wheel, for garnish

1. Pour the first 3 ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain over ice cubes into 2 highball glasses.  Top with Italian grapefruit soda and add a lime wheel for garnish.
