Simple syrup is a bartender's best friend. It's great to keep on hand to sweeten cocktails or other cold beverages, such as iced tea or iced coffee.
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups boiling water
1. Stir the sugar into the boiling water until completely dissolved. Transfer to an airtight container and keep refrigerated.
