Cocktail: Simple Syrup

Simple syrup is a bartender's best friend. It's great to keep on hand to sweeten cocktails or other cold beverages, such as iced tea or iced coffee.

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
1. Stir the sugar into the boiling water until completely dissolved. Transfer to an airtight container and keep refrigerated.

What a wonderful addition to the Tasty Dish. I love the thought of pairing cocktails with festive foods. The fall / Thanksgiving theme lends itself to fall type cocktails. I can't wait to try them.
