What are you doing for the 19th annual
Make a Difference Day on Saturday, October 24, 2009?
Make a Difference Day is an annual service event created by
USA WEEKEND Magazine. Did you know that you can enter your Make a Difference Day service project for a chance to win a $10,000 award from
Newman's Own for your favorite charitable organization?
Here's how to get involved:
1. Think of a project that will fill a need in your community. Check out the
Make a Difference Day Idea page for inspiration. The
Our Blocks blog has listed some project ideas, as has Shelley Kneupper of
This Eclectic Life.
2. Register your project in the
Make A Difference DAYtaBANK.
3. Join the
Make A Difference Day Facebook page.
4. Do your project on Make a Difference Day, October 24th. Check out the
Make a Difference Day Project Tools page for help with your project.
5.
Fill out an entry form,
after you've completed your Make a Difference Day project, for a chance
to win a $10,000 award for your favorite charitable organization.
Winners will also be highlighted in an April 2010 edition of USA
WEEKEND Magazine.

Have you participated in Make a Difference Day in the past? What did you do?
Thanks Britt! One other way to get involved (or at least informed): I just noticed HandsOnNetwork created a Twitter hashtag yesterday #MDD09.
Thanks, Leo!
