Donate Your Gently Used Items to Nonprofits

Just yesterday my husband and I were talking about organizing our yearly donation of clothes to Goodwill, and books to the public library, when I saw this great Ladies Home Journal article, Don't Dump It, Donate It. It's an awesome list of resources for donating all kinds of things like:

• Video games to the Get Well Gamers. They bring video games to children in the hospital.
• Wedding dresses to Brides Against Cancer. The profits from the gown sales are used to grant final wishes to women with cancer.
• Stuffed animals, baby blankets, and children's books to Project Night Night. They assemble "Night Night Packages" for children in homeless shelters.
• Cell phones to the National Coalition for Domestic Violence. Proceeds from phone sales, (through ReCellular) help to fund their work against domestic violence.
