If it is you may need to look in the mirror.Last week, Rebecca Woolf the author of Rockabye: From Wild to Child and one of the most candid mommy blogs out there - Girls Gone Child - admitted on Momversation that monogomy has been one of her marital challenges.
I
completely got what she said, myself having suddenly found myself
married and then pregnant during the height of my single 20's. My
marriage didn't last but hers has because as she explained in a
follow-up post she had to redefine the word forever.
Over the last two years I've realized that forever means nothing .... that I'm with the man I want to be with as long as our forever lasts. Whether that means five months or five decades. A marriage where windows remain open no matter the weather, and culdesacs are bulldozed through. Where in order to stay true to each other we must first be true to ourselves. Where a healthy love depends on our mutual respect for each other's independence . No cages. No clipped-wings.
See Rebecca's entire post here and if you missed it check out the Momversation video that sparked this post from Rebecca asking which is easier - marriage or motherhood?
Very interesting stuff from one of the best mom bloggers out there.
