What happens when your child's father, who has been out of the picture since he was born, suddenly wants custody?

When my friend Morgan Siler told the father of her child that she was pregnant he took off and never came back. She came to peace with his absence and even his vicious e-mails referring to her son Lucca as "it". So you can imagine her shock and horror when she read another e-mail recently telling her he wanted shared custody. It's every mother's worst nightmare. But to top it off Morgan had just moved across the country with her son and her new partner.
