Here are some of our favorite happenings.

MommyPie, one of my long time blogger friends and single mom, was surfing on her blogs when she stumbled across a link leading her to a proposal on a blog. When she clicked through she discovered it was a proposal for her, from her boyfriend. Just that post from him makes me believe in all kinds of fairy tales and that's though, because I'm about as jaded as they come.

MommyPie is also the found of SwapMamas.com, a site for mothers to trade toys, clothes or anything they don't use anymore. Speaking of bargains, I discovered Jane4Girls this week. Jane is a mother of four girls and is determined to spend only $800.00 this year on food and beauty supplies. I spend anywhere from $200.00 to $400.00 a month on groceries, not even to mention eating out. I am just in awe that she can pull this off. In addition to her shopping tips she shares valuable coupons and money saving recipes.

And, on a completely different note, two prolific mommy bloggers took on two intense subjects this week - abortion and adoption. Both stories are incredibly inspiring. Start here on BlogHer.com where they were both named Joint BlogHers of the Week.
