Hello! My name is Christine Coppa. My friends call me "Chrissy" and my toddler, JD, calls me "Mum." I'm a 28-year-old single mom best known for my musings over at Glamour.com's Storked! blog. My memoir Rattled! comes out on April 14th. It's very exciting to be writing for Glamour, planning reading engagements where people are going to ask me to sign their copy of my book and now working with WEtv.com.
Hmmm. Let's just say I've been there--done that. And that my lovelies, is what Ga-Ga Goodies is all about. I am going to bring you a weekly column of my mommy/kiddy must-haves, deals and steals--Oh yes, I'm doing recession-proof posts. I'm so pleased to be your personal shopper! Sign up for a user name here and introduce yourself to me. What is your name? How many kids do you have? Does your home look like a toy store exploded too? Feel absolutely free to ask me Qs like where to score vintage inspired onesies, non-toxic hair gel for the perfect faux-hawk and a recipe for a really strong dirty martini for days when your toddler thinks the toilet bowl is a toy chest. I kid, I kid! I'm excited to be here!
Hi Chrissy! Since you mentioned it my 10 month old, Christopher has an insane amount of unruly hair! (He's awesome) Where can I score some non-toxic hair gel for my babe? Do you recommend a specific brand? Also looking for an awesome Yankee cap, one that will fit him well! Any suggestions?
Hello LovingChris:
I use "Love Me Baby Hair Puddy" on JD sometimes:

Hi Chrissy,
I was wondering if you will also be giving any advice on how to get your baby to sleep at night... Did you have any trouble with JD? My daughter Alexa is 9 months old and still won't sleep through the night, but I can't let her "cry it out" like so many websites and books say! I could use some help after not sleeping in 9 months.
(I don't know if you remember me, but we went to the same high school, you might know my sister Danielle and I'm friends with K.F. - don't want to put her name on here-)
Thanks and hopefully you can help me!
Stefanie
Hi Stefanie,
Eeep. Wish I had the magic answer. JD is a really good sleeper. Our go to routine: Jammies, sippy cup of warm milk + book, pacifier, crib...sometimes he falls asleep in my bed too (mmm, hmm). Have you tried lavender? Jurlique Baby has awesome baby oil--it's super calming. JD goes ga-ga for it. A baby massage b4 bed *could seal the deal. Worth a shot.
