Socks that stay put no matter how wiggly your baby's tiny toes are.

By Christine Coppa

Not only does the dryer eat socks--the invisible sock fairy snatched them off my baby's foot for the first couple of months of his existence. Seriously. No, seriously! I can't even count the number of times I found myself standing in a shopping center parking lot, holding my tiny baby boy--with one bare foot.Grrrr! I have at least a dozen socks that no longer have a partner. I call them divorcees. Trend Alert: Outfit your kid in mismatched socks! Not buying it? Uh, yeah, me either. Do what I did when JD was a brand-new baby: Keep little feet toasty warm at night (in the privacy of your home) by dressing baby in one green bootie and one red and orange ankle sock. As for outside of the home? Try these awesome socks that seriously stay put no matter how wiggly your baby's tiny toes are:

shoebuyboy.jpgBibi and Mini Sneakers: Your baby boy may be too tiny to appreciate a pair of cool kicks but he is just the right size for these bright and (magic word) snug sneaker socks. Available in infant and toddler sizes (Yep, JD rocks em!), 6 pair for $25.45, Shoebuy.com

shoebuygirl.jpgBibi and Mini Mary-Jane: All together: "A gal can never have too many shoes!" These dainty Mary-Jane, super, soft socks are the perfect addition to your baby fashionista's wardrobe. Available in infant and toddler sizes, 6 pair for $28.45, Shoebuy.com

Special Offer Alert!: Purchase these socks or anything at Shoebuy.com here. I scored you, my lovelies, an exclusive 10% off and free shipping. Offer good until March 18, 2009.

jazzytoes.jpgJazzy Toes Sandal Socks: These gender-neutral socks Make. Me. Swoon. I swear if I could outfit every, single set of pudgy baby feet I see in these I would. For now, I'll stick to JD. But, babies of the world beware--HA! Complete with an elasticized ankle and no-slip grip bottoms these socks are not only sock-dor-able-adorable, they're super functional for your toddler on the go-go-go--and oh so stimulating with their earth-tone coloring and rubbery touch bottoms for your infant who is just learning about her tootsies. Available in infant and toddler sizes, 6 pair for $24.94, littledudesanddivas.com

sears.jpgLittle Wonders: Can we say Pretty n' Pink? I love these classic ankle socks for baby girls because of the cozy bubble cuff that warmly hugs the ankles securing a comfy and just right fit. Available in NB/infant.

Steal Alert! 3 pack for just $3.98, Sears.com

amazon.jpgLuvable Friends: Can I just say I heart the net wash bag packaging--add some ribbon and it makes for an adorable gift topper. Wait it gets better: You wash the socks in the bag. Take that dryer thief! The stretchy, elastic material molds to baby's foot providing warmth and you guessed it--a no slip-off fit. Available in NB/infant (girl/boy/neutral colors).

Steal Alert: 6 socks + a washing bag, only $9.99, Amazon.com

The best socks ever for baby are NIX! They stay one their feet no matter how much tugging your little guy does. And they are super cute to boot. They look like old school gym socks!

Hey Chrissy,

I think this is the best post. Early this week I put my order for two sets of Jazzytoes... the birks and sneakers:) I got them on Friday and my husband thought they were the cutest things:) Also that last picture gave me an idea....wash baby socks in a lingerie bag:)

HUGS and congrats on the new gig.
