It Pays to Be Yourself

Plenty of people have judged me in the past and still do to this day. When I was younger people judged me because I don't look like anyone else in my family. People still judge me because I'm a fair skinned black woman. Some people look at me and think I'm mean or stuck up, but once they get to know me realize I'm one of the most down to earth people they'll ever meet. While I don't think that snap judgments are always fair, I do think that just about everyone has made one at some point in their life (and if they tell you they haven't, they're lying!). When I was single, I used to make snap judgments A LOT! I think the judgments I made definitely helped me weed out potential boyfriends that weren't going to be worth my time. I can meet someone, male or female, and tell within five minutes whether I'm going to like them or not, and it hasn't failed me yet!

I hope viewers can watch the show and realize that it truly does pay to be yourself. My strategy for the show was simple... be myself, and if it was meant for me to win, I would... and I did!
