Plenty of people have judged me in the past and still do to this day. When I was younger people judged me because I don't look like anyone else in my family. People still judge me because I'm a fair skinned black woman. Some people look at me and think I'm mean or stuck up, but once they get to know me realize I'm one of the most down to earth people they'll ever meet.

I"m currently living in Burbank, CA where I'm a single mom of an 11year old son and I work for the State of California. I grew up in a bad neighborhood in L.A. and we were kind of poor. I was the skinny kid that everyone teased throughout all my school years. I couldn't afford to go school shopping every year like most kids and we often ate beans and rice for dinner - at least 2-3 times a week because there were 7 of us in the family.

After the run-throughs, the walk throughs and dress rehearsals it's finally time to make the actual show. For me it is surreal to be driving in LA in the morning sunshine and pulling into my parking space on a proper studio lot. Our sound stage is just across from where they filmed the first two seasons of "I Love Lucy." I can imagine the episode where Lucy and Viv decide to take part in Most Popular. The early morning start is more than made up for by my first breakfast burrito. America is genius! The audience seem lively but will they enjoy being asked to judge seven strangers? I shouldn't have worried.

My first marriage failed due to finances, inability to communicate and mutual lack of attraction. I remarried a raging alcoholic, whose problem manifested after we married.
