David Tutera BlogWelcome to my blog page for my new show on WE tv, "My Fair Wedding." I'm your host, David Tutera.

I'm about to take you through a topsy-turvy journey into the lives of six very different brides. The one thing they have in common? Each discovers she is going to watch everything she planned go out the window...days before her wedding!

I have three weeks to transform these brides' SERIOUS potential wedding disasters into the real dream days they were once after...

With no time to spare, I need to reinvent them into graceful, sophisticated brides through physical and emotional transformations. They will undergo crash courses in fashion, etiquette, hair, make-up, style and poise...and that's just the beginning!

And to add, there's a catch:

I'm making every decision for them. They won't know what changes until the last minute, and they won't know what I've chosen for their weddings until they are walking down the aisle on their actual wedding day.

As a celebrity wedding planner, I know if there's anything any bride wants full control over, it's her dress, her venue, her decorations, her flowers, her cake, her food...well, everything. If it was the "most important day of your life" that you had been planning since you were a little girl--what would you do if someone came in and changed it ALL? Would it be for better...or for worse?

I love the concept of this show. When I started creating these weddings for the brides and being a part of their lives, I loved it even more.

I've been in the bridal industry for over 20 years, and there were still wedding plans that bewildered and shocked me. Some required pulling quite a few strings from across the country to repair. Some were brilliant ideas that needed a "boost." Some were simple fixes that made a world of a difference.

My brides learned from me and I learned from my brides. Each episode taught me something very poignant about weddings and the art of throwing them. In their own ways, they constantly reminded me what the wedding business is all about--love.

I hope you follow the blog and tune in to "My Fair Wedding" every Sunday night. Perhaps you'll learn a few tips and tricks to use for a bit of revision magic yourself!

See you Sunday, October 26th at 10pm here on WE tv for the premiere episode. For my first bride, Wanda, I brought some of the Miami heat to a New Jersey ballroom.

David,
My Friend, Theresa and I have been waiting to see your next biggest creation! We simply cannot wait to see your new series. I've marked it on my calendar, sure that this will be a hit!
We met you several years ago at your "it's raining men" event in NYC. We had such a great time and you created a fabulous atmosphere for the event. We are excited to see what you will be developing in this series coming up in October. Love everything you do. Keep creating, and we'll keep watching.

Hi David,
This is Jennifer "your first bride"

"For my first bride, Jennifer, you just may notice a shining glass slipper left on a castle step. "

I went to the castle, I looked on the step and I found no glass slipper so can you please elaborate ?

Thanks

I was a contestant of your show "My Fair Wedding" and was up to the part of the interviewing of sending my video. Even though I was not picked my 08-08-08 wedding was beautiful. I appreciate the fact that I got to go so far in the interviewing process and due to the fact that I didn't enter the contest on my own, WETV and Pilgrim Films reached out to me I guess finding out my day was 08-08-08 it was very exciting to be a part of this new production of the WETV family. Thanking you again for letting me be somewhat a part of this new show It was very exciting and little disappointing as well. Good luck. MICKI AND MARKO from NYC

I cannot wait to see this show. I have gotten a little frustrated with the other "wedding" shows that are out there. I am hoping that your show will give those of us planning a big day a better idea about how/ what to do. Most of the shows are just about the bride's attitude and not about the wedding and special items.

I am planning a BIG vow renewal to my husband on our 5th anniversary. He is active duty military and was deployed, so we got married in Vegas (Elvis was there... there was shiny gold fabric)... sniff sniff. I am hoping to somehow make Patriotic into Elegant without being silly or it looking like the 4th of July.

Wish me luck all! Can't wait until the 26th!

Per143...you have managed to create this "screen name" all over every message board you possibly could to bad mouth this show. You got kicked off of LIWeddings, the Knot any other ones? Maybe you should have notified your guests about the changes. I can't wait to see "you" on the show. I bet you look and act as tastless as you portray yourself on public forums.

Hi David,
I cant wait to see the show. I've seen nothing but preveiws and im so excited. Miss you guys.

I can't wait to see your show. My finace and I have been going out for 3 and a half years and we have been engaged for 2. We are one more year away from our wedding date which will be on 10-10-09 if all goes as planned. It's been tough, but hopefully my day will be here sooner than I know it. Let's just hope we have the funds necessary! Like you've mentioned it is a little girl's dream to get married and be the "queen for a day". Maybe I can be on one of your upcoming shows. I would love your help.
Thanks, Ana Ibett Mestas

When are you airing the wedding @ the castle?

I want to comment on the South Beach photos and I must say that they look STUNNING. Cant wait to see the show.

I cannot wait to see the show, especially the first show, Madelyn the maid of honor to Wanda Ortiz your first bride, works with me. She spoke very highly of how wonderful David is and how all the wedding preparations and dresses were amazing !!! Although I am in my 40's and single it makes me want to find that perfect groom so that David can plan my wedding...

Looking forward to watching !! Arlene

How can you pass such comments on a person that you don't know. I was at the wedding, maybe she has her reasons for feeling the way she does. She happens to be a very classy girl, leading me to believe that you are a person who lacks class and any kind of intelligence.

I agree ! Who is mrs represented to pass judgement on something she knows nothing about ! Thats how nosey people with nothing better to do act. I saw both ladies and i see who looks and acts tasteless and it doesent seem to be per143 !
ps You wrote to the wrong girl It was Mrs.Represented not jinger :)
I guess the show will tell who's what !

David,
Hi my name is Karen & I just saw my first episode of "My Fair Wedding" & I know you are a busy man. But I wanted to know if by any chance you would be a wedding planner for a private wedding of mine? If so, how much would it cost me....I'm sure it would depend on details involved but, I would know exactly what you would need to know if you could do it. My finance' is from New York & thats really where I prefer to get married at because I have more options to things than if I got married here in the country where I'm located. If you can respond back to me at "comewitme2@yahoo.com" I would appreciate it very much. Cost isn't really a big issue but, still I would need to announce this figure to my finance'. Thank you very much.

Dearest David,
You are by far a very creative and enthusiastic individual. I myself have such a passion for weddings that I am taking classes for wedding and event planning, at the same time planning my own wedding for September 2009. I have planned and designed weddings for friends and just fell in love with it, there is nothing better than loving what you do, I am looking forward to your other episodes to give me a few ideas. Maybe I could send you a couple, lol.
Sincerely a new fan,

Shannon

Dearset David,
It's your "wedding planner in training" again, I would be honored to have you as a teacher and guest for my wedding in September of 2009, it will be out in the country at a beautiful bed and breakfast that was built in 1911. I am going for a classical victorian wedding for 100 to 150 people, write back and tell me what you think. Thanks again,

Hi David,
I watched the show last night, It was great!!! I have been waiting weeks for it to start. I am getting married in Sept, 2009.. to the greatest man in the whole world, I can't wait!!! :)
I wanted to ask you a question about using Lighting, I love the way it looks, and I was thinking of uses some Up Lights, But I am not sure of how many to use and what color to use. My wedding is going to be Old Hollywood Glamour..Elegant, kind of Old world.. My colors are white Ivory, almost a gold, and the bridesmaids dresses are a Deep berry red. I don't want to room to be red. the only things that will be red are the dresses and some of the Flowers. I want it to be soft and very romantic, I am planning on uses a lot of candle light too.
If you have any ideas please let me know...thanks so much!! :)

Just wanted to drop a line to say, I love, love, love, love, your new show My Fair Wedding.
I'm a 33 year old male from South Dartmouth, Ma. where I have been managing a private country club for the past 12 years. We do hundreds and hundreds of events per year and is where my love and passion for party planning began in addition to running the business it self, but the actual planning of the event is what I enjoy the most and I excel at. I really enjoy all the long hours, planning and executing the event, just the linen, flowers, lighting, signature drinks and best of all the smile on that bride face.
Anyway enough about me again just wanted say you are a true professional and yet you come across so real and brutally honest, after all I think a big part about planning a event is gearing people from making poor choices.
Keep up the beautiful work and I look forward to all your episodes.
Sincerely

Did anyone see the previews of My Fair Wedding that has the bride-to-be who burps? And then the one who smokes her head off? I can't wait to watch those episodes!

default userpic

Your first show was amazing. I called my boyfriend up and said that at least 30% of our budget must be spent on a great planner. I now realize what a great planner can bring to the table. I'm sure you're WAY out of my league, cost wise, however I can assure you that I will submit inquiries for a recommendation when my time comes. Seeking someone in the Dallas or Houston, TX area.

Keep up the great work, and I can't wait for the next show.

Hi David!
This may be a shamless attempt at getting your attention...Here it goes, I am engaged to the Love of my life, We met almost 28 years ago. Lost contact, and then found each other 23 years later. We have been working diligently at blending our 5 kids together. He has3 I have 2. We spent the last three years slowly working toward that. Last Aug. He proposed. We plan to be married on the 28th anniversary of the day we met.I do not consider myself a Bridezilla in any way, I am working very hard at just the opposite. I would be delited if somehow we could get your assistance. I have watched what you do.Amazing! How do I find out how to be cast on one of your shows? Any help will be wonderful. Thank you. K. Lee

Hi David,
I have known my husband for 10 years, we have a beautiful son name Jallen. we have been married for 5years, but we never had a formal wedding, we are planning on getting married August 15th, 2009. I am confused about everything, and i remember when my friend Johanne got married 2 years ago, i was there 24 hrs helping her, i even forgot my husband's birthday because her wedding was Sept 3rd, and my husband birthday is on Sept 2nd, which i felt bad about . Anyway please David i need help, you are the BOMB!, the BEST of all i've seen. You transformed Wanda and Bert's wedding into the Best, Classiest, Upscale, Finest wedding EVER, EVER, EVER. Oh my God I wish i will get this blessing, soYou DAVID, YES YOU would help to make my dream come true. If not i understand but you ROCK!!!!.

default userpic

David, I watched the South Beach wedding and I was blown away. You are so good at what you do and the wedding was a real fairytale. You changed the venue into something spectacular, that couple was very lucky to have you do their wedding. I was wondering if you only do this here in the US only or you can consider doing a wedding in South Africa. I love watching weddings, bridzillas and wedding cakes on TV. My daughter who has been so good and very respectful is getting married in April 11, 2009 in South Africa. It has been my dream to give her the best wedding since she is such a good kid. She did her High School here in the US and she further her studies in South Africa. I have never heard anything bad about her and she finished her University, and four years later she introduced us to her husband-to-be.I am going crazy trying to plan a beautiful wedding for her from here in the US and she is in South Africa and of course the budget does not allow me as a single parent to plan a fairytale one. Would you make my dream come true. I'll keep praying for a miracle to happen.
Thank you.

Although Per143 and I do not see eye to eye on many things. I must agree with her…smoking on TV does not constitute smoking “her head off”. And in all honesty…if you up and gave away all creative rights of your wedding two weeks before, wouldn’t you be freaking out a bit. It’s the magic of TV editing. Once you sign the contract you give up everything…even the way they take a simple trip outside to have a quick cigarette and turn it into puffing the day away.

David, i watched your show and to the transformation you created was breathtaking. i must admit there wasn't alot of dialogue between the you and the contestant. One more thing, i would love to know where and who the vendors are who put together your vision. Please, i live in nj and haven't seen vendors a like so far. Please help.

David, the wedding you did for Wanda & Bert has truly inspired me. I loved how you decorated the ceremony and reception...it blew my mind. You are truly creative and talented and I love watching your shows. You have given me so many ideas of how I want my wedding to be.

We were married by the Justice of the Peace 2 1/2 years ago with no guests. It was very intimate because it was only him and I. We definitely want to renew our vows and have the dream wedding celebrating with family and friends. Your vision of a romantic wedding had left me speechless.

Thank you so much for the inspiration.

David,

I watched the South Beach wedding and you are amazing. It was beautiful and truly a girls dream wedding come true. I loved the part about having a special drink and the toast and was wondering if you could tell me what the three drinks were that you had the bartender make for her. One had lemon grass and something, another had fruit and I dont remember what the third one had. I would appreciate any information on what these three drinks were made with.

Thanks,

I saw your show for the first time today....i was brought to tears as I remembered my own wedding exactly 1 year ago next week. The brides were able to experience something that I should have experienced at my own wedding. I had to do everything myself, and although a lot of the things were beautiful, I did not feel I was as beautiful. Everyone said I did such a beautiful job, like my reception came strait from a magazine. If they only knew how I felt about the way I looked. I had no family, no mother and no one to share it with. I was stressed, lost weight and was not able to take the time with myself, my hair, or just be the most important person at my own wedding. I found myself making sure everyone else looked beautiful and had a beautiful time. It ended up, not even the photographer took memorable pics of our wedding. I have no pics of myself in my beautiful gown, except standing on a sidewalk. It was suppose to be perfect, and it fell short. I never want anyone else to feel the way I did. Thank you for helping others live their dreams. I only pray that when my own children get married, I can do a beautiful job making them as happy as you make others. I only wish I could work myself to help other brides. You are truly blessed. Every bride deserves to feel beautiful on their day.

Dear David,
I must say, after watching your show, you made not only me but I am sure America see how beautiful and wonderfully "fair" weddings can actually be. You care so much about the girls that your work with, and put every fiber of your heart and soul into making the experience like a dream come true. You are very talented, not afraid to take risks, and make a girl's sense of self and confidence a top priority. The episodes brought tears to my eyes, because the bond you have with the people, and the creativity you bring into their marriage create such magical celebrations. You have such great taste and flair, and I look forward to future episodes and maybe one day my wedding! ;) Thank you for you creativity and wit!

My daughter is getting married in South Carolina in March (we live in Ohio) and as much as I'd love to give her her dream wedding, it's very difficult to coordinate. Her wedding was postponed once as her fiance has sent to Iraq. He'll be home this month and we would love to give both of them one great party.

David,

I love your show. I was pretty down yesterday until I watched your "princess bride" episode. It was great fun! You are VERY talented (and patient.) I think you would make an excellent poker player because your face hides what I KNOW you are thinking when viewing the bride's choice of flowers, dress, etc. I can't wait to see next weeks episode. Keep up the good work!

Dear David,

I love your show! You have such a wonderful talent for coordinating ideas for the perfect wedding. Yes, it is a talent! I've been a fan since the first show and can't get enough of it. I'm getting married in July of next year, so i've been getting some great ideas from you! Everyone in my bridal party is out of state so the help I need is unavailable, but when I watch your show it makes me feel like I am able to do it myself. Hi David,
I truly love your show the princess show was a tear jerker. I too will be getting married here in April 15th 2009. We are on a really really strict budget. I would love to have a sparkly lavish wedding but funds dont allow it. We are pittsburgh Steeler fans and that is our color scheme. Mostly Sunshine yellow ,Black and White . Could you give me some ideas on decorating or maybe a few pics on how to make this very nice. I really enjoy your show and wish i could have an elegant wedding like you provide.I really have not too much support from his family . They feel we should have a karoke machine compared to a Dj. So please please help and give me some ideas. And keep up the excellent work and i hope to get some ideas or pics from you. Thanks so much Cynthia

Dear David,

LOVE the new show. I have an issue with choosing colors for my wedding. I currently chose pool and canary and am now in between lilac and latte'. I am 7.5 months away from the wedding date. Please give me some ideas. The wedding will be held inside this ballroom downtown with beautiful lighting and staircase. It will also be during the day. Any suggestions?

Dear David,

I love the show and its not just because I am a bride to be. I think the way you can see the vision of the brides Big Day and make it come tru and be everything they wish for and more is spectacular. I watch the show and wonder sometimes what you would invision for my day? I think you bring something new to the wedding industry. Something that no one man has ever been able to do and you should be proud because most men dont have much insite on Weddings or what woman want for their big day. I only dream that I could have your help on my day 08-08-2009 - my creation is a deco wedding of 2009!! We will see wish me luck and I know your show is going to do so well.

I get married in January 2009 and am on a tight budget but don't want our wedding to look like it was on a tight budget (hehehehe) I have to laugh to prevent myself from crying. I'm sure it's too late to get on the show but if you have some advise it would be grately appreciated.

Keep up the great work.

While I am certain that the brides know what the "deal" is before going on, your show is too pushy for the average viewer.

Check out other blogs of WE fans, where we share why your show is difficult to watch. I did suggest folks tune into your Lifetime show, which I love.

David, I watched your show for the first time last night. I loved it. I have a question and I hope you can help.My daughter is getting married in New York City in May 2009. The affair will be small. Approx 60 guests. Can you tell me what venues in that area cater to small weddings and receptions. It seems all the ones we have looked at are for 100 or more guests. One place we found was the New Leaf Cafe. Do you know anything about it's reputation?
Thanks, Mother of the Bride

What is the best resource to use for a wedding that the bride and groom are more mature, and it is both of ours second wedding?
We are both in our 40's, both survived brutal first marriages, met by chance, and now know that we want to spend the rest of our lives together.
We want semi-formal, simple, but elegant. Colors are ivory, victorian lavendar, and chocolate.
We live in Pennsylvania and options for venues are not that many, plus of course the budget is small.
Any suggestions or tips would be very much appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi David, I used to watch another show you did years ago about party planning. I used a lot of your ideas, I am planning a big wedding March 6, 2009 and I am hoping to get some more great ideas for my reception. I love your new show and I hope to see you on TV more. I think you are just FABULOUS!!!!!

Hello David and the whole crew; I just love this show, so informative in a fun way.
I love the commercial too. I'm a seamstress in Massachusetts and just the other day I began altering those orange dresses for a dance company.
It's always nice to reuse and recycle.
If you ever need seamstress work I'm located north of Boston.
Keep up the great work, Thank-you Deby

Wanda and Bert looked stunning. Congrats to the both of you .

Im curious, does anyone know the upcoming themes?

Dear David: This is Lilly Rivera, founder of BridalGal. We were featured on your 3rd episode, Mandy's wedding where I airbrushed her tattoos away and did makeup and hair for her and her bridesmaids. I just saw the show for the first time and LOVED IT! This is a refreshing and possitive show that makes you feel good inside not to mention it's very fun and extremely entertaining. It's a beautiful story that says LOTS about the bride and groom in such a wonderful, fun manner. It is about them!

I wish you all the best, success as I am sure you will. We all needed a show like this to add to the experience of brides who are already frazzled. Your style, class, PERSONALITY all come through in a wonderful TV experience. Your crew and staff were the BEST!

Thank you for allowing us the honor to be part of it.

With loving regards, Lilly Rivera, BridalGal

David,

I cought my first episode (Mark and Mandy). I was amazed by how you were able to turn things around. I am an wedding and event planner, I was interested in knowing if could post the vendors that you used to create such a wonderful event. They are definately vendors I would love on my vendors list. I am especially interested in Fabrications, I believe that is the name that I heard mentioned. Thank you for your time and I will definately add you on my blog on the list of favorite blogs.

David,

I am hooked on your show I didn't think I would. What's crazy is I was going simple with my reception at the RIO hotel in Vegas, but after watching Mandy's and the one you did for South Beach. It looks like I may be telling some of the people that we said we would pay for their plane tickets that they maybe on there own so I can have some lighting and drapery. I know it will never be as beautiful as you do at it, but I at least know I want to put some of my budget to decorating the reception hall. We are on such a tight budget and the worst part is that I don't know how much the plane tickets are from Hawaii to Vegas are yet. So depending on that I will know how much more or less I can do. I have your show taping so I hope I can get some good ideas. Keep up the great work.

Hi David,
I LOVE your show. I would love for you to come in and revamp my entire wedding! God knows i need the help!

Ok, I have question. I am in love with a fall theme for my wedding as far as colors. I have so many ideas in my head and everyday I think of something new. It has always been a dream of mine to get married on a beach in the Caribbean but, when you think of the beach you think of soft colors like blues, pinks, lavendars and white. Will browns, oranges, reds, yellows, and greens work on a beach [not all the colors together]? I can envision everything but those colors on the beach.

Advise please anyone.

Dana from the new home to the Obama family.

Let me say first that I love your show. I have watched all the shows and I hope you have alot more to come. Me and my future husband were first planning a church wedding in NC, but now we are thinking about a lawn wedding at Myrtle Beach, SC. We want our wedding to be unique and special for the both of us, so we need your help badly, because we cannot make up our minds.

Hoping to hear from you soon....

HI,
I am very interesting in YOUR show my Fair Wedding. Do you only do weddings in New York ? I am located in Florida and would very much like to be on his show. I am engaged to be married and we are blending two families . I have six wonderful children and he has one great daughter. We surprisingly get along very well as a family unit. The problem comes as to how do I get everyone involved and agree on wedding plans. I love your ideas and would be very happy if you could help with my plans. I really don't know where to begin, so I'm asking for your help. I am hoping for a reply.

Hello David,

I gotta say that I LOVE your show my fiance even likes it! I was curious on how I could possibly tryout to be on the show. If not then could you possibly give me some advice. Im having a fall wedding but I want everything to feel "romantic"

Like the bride you worked with, Mandy, Im alittle different. (Don't worry I hate spiders!) I just need some advice on how to make my wedding perfect but yet my own. I could even e-mail you some pictures and you can let me know what you think, before I make a final decision.

Thank you for taking time out to read this. If you can contact me my e-mail address is minickgirl@yahoo.com or mrandmrsminick@yahoo.com
If you cant find time to contact me its ok I understand. You are, after all, a very busy man!

Hi I am 22 and I am getting married to my bestfriend in the whole world on May 30 2009. Since I was a little girl I have always thought of my wedding day I also had to deal with my mother having a heart problem she was alway afraid that she wouldn't make it till my wedding and I'm so glad that she will be around to see me get marrried to the love of my life someone who I thought that I would never find someone that would take such good care of me like the way he does. I have just started planning my wedding Iam really starting to get excited about our day. Just this weekend I found the dress that I will be wearing on the big day. The place that we are having the wedding at is a nice place, but There was another place that I would of wanted to have it at.But we are the one that are paying for this wedding and we are on a very tight budget. I really dont have a very good relationship with my father and my mom cant help to much. It would be great to be apart of your show.PLEASE help us!!!!

Hello David,

I just finished watching all 4 episodes they were all nice and different, but I LOVED the South Beach theme out of all of them. It was amazing how you transformed the ceremony and reception rooms, I couldnt believe it. Especially how the ceremony looked with the candles and flower petals on the aisle runner. The reception with all that loungy furniture really set that off and the lighting...WOW..Like Bert said "it was off the hook"

You've inspired me to have a South Beach wedding which before I had none. Thank god I havent booked any vendors yet but will start this week!

Keep up the amazing work that you do!!

Hello David.

I am so excited to have a way to communicate with you right now. I am getting married on April 18, 2008 and I am having the most stressful time of my life. I always dreamed of a beautiful wedding but it seems it's more a dream then a reality. It's very expensive and very hard to manage things. I am going out of my head. I don't have anything accomplished. I have cried myself to sleep just thinking how am i going to get things done. I watch your show all the time and dream and pray that I can have your help. Can you please help me make my dream come true. Please. You are all I have right now. I don't know what to do. I am ready to give up. I always try and follow some things you do on the show to make my dream come true and I find it very difficult. My bridesmaids all have different dresses because I gave up and said buy what you want. My dress is does not fit right but am working on it. Flowers are all artificial, I am trying my best to make my dream come true but I know in my heart you can really make it true. Please help.

Love your # 1 fan

Dear David,

I love your Tv show, I think you are amazing! I'd love to have you plan my wedding on your show. My wedding is December 19, 2008. I have most of the arrangements done but still need lots of help with the style and etc. I'm originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and I'm getting married in Kansas City, MO with a firefighter from here! I'm really excited to tell you more about myself and our story if you would let me. I know the wedding is coming up, so please let me know if there is any chance you might help us make our dream come true.
Your fan.

Chuchi19,

Congratulations on your wedding and on selecting such a stunning color and style for your wedding. A Tiffany’s theme is one I have done a few times before and each time has been more elegant than the next. To pull this off use basic colors like black, white and silver as the base with accents of the Tiffany blue. Little touches go a long way with this theme so get creative: wrap your favors in small blue boxes with white ribbon, use strands of pearls and diamonds to accent your floral arrangements and send out your invitations with Audrey Hepburn stamps!

I wish you all the best for your wedding. Thanks for watching!

Hello David
I must admit I just started watching your show for tips alone. I am due to be married May, 30 2009. I have some friends helping me with the planning and im a bit frustrated! I have my dress, and all but 3 of my bridesmaids have their dresses. I have the venue i think. I want this to be a very memorable wedding. And i believe my wedding would benefit from your expertise. Could you please get me some info on how to gain some of your help. My email address is arubacatbrown@yahoo.com. If I cannot be apart of your show I would still appreciate some tips to make this wedding something to remember! I would appreciate the help. You are an amazing man and you have a great gift so either way keep up the good work and making everyones wishes come true.

default userpic

Hi David,
Love the show, you put such heart into all that you do for the couples, they are very fortunate to have your help. As a bride-to-be, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a Tuscan themed winter wedding? The venue we've selected already has a Tuscan theme to it but I've decided to have the wedding in the winter. We live in Phoenix so I guess there is no such thing as winter here but it does still get chilly enough to appreciate it. Nonetheless, I'd like to somehow incorporate lights (white lights, crystals, etc) into the outdoor courtyard ceremony. I thought about adding tall light covered trees (nothing bushy, more stick like) in courtyard, but I don't really know how to pull that off without it looking like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, lol. The last thing I want to do is make it tacky, I don't even want that many decorations, just enough to make it feel like a winter wedding in Tuscany. Any thoughts???

P.S. Keep making dreams come true!!

David,
I really enjoy your show. I wanted some suggestions for my daughter's wedding Feb 21,2008.
Both she and her fiance recently returned from Iraq about 2 months ago. Both have been awarded the navy marine achievemnt medal. Both of their jobs were dangerous, and very exhausting. While she was in Iraq we were emailing each other some aobut wedding things, but it's kinda difficult in a war to do this.
They are having a military wedding with a walk under the arch of swords. They have not yet choosen a phtographer. They are having the reception at the church. She really would like a setting that looks like a ballroom instead of a church hall. I know that they both wnat a simple elgant wedding.
Any suggestions would really be appreciated. As a mom I am extremely proud of her and all that she accompished in the service of her country.

David,
I would like some advice. I am not the richest of people. My husband and I got married in September 2006 however we never had a honeymoon due to having 2 children and not enough money. I had my dream wedding however we are now looking into renewing our vows. We would like to do it on the beach in New Jersey. We are originally from Philadelphia, Pa although now we live outside of Lexington, Ky. All we know is we want it barefoot on the beach there will only be about 40 people there and we decided we just wanted an informal dinner @ a restraunt. We don't have alot of money so the plan was to arrange for the ceremony and then give the guests the option of dinner, or just walking the boardwalk. I need your help. I have no idea how to pull this off. I have visions of what I want but I need an expert to give me advice. How can I pull off an affordable vow renewal ceremony? Please help me! My email is elizamullen@gmail.com.

Hi David,
My name is Chavone and I am going to tell you something I am pretty sure you already know…lol…you are simply amazing. I absolutely love your ability to transform a simple wedding into a gorgeous, elegant, CHIC event. Your vision is truly a remarkable gift. I have followed your episodes since the show started and I refuse to miss an episode. I am currently planning a wedding for March 2010. I would like it to be sooner, but the reason it is so far away is because I want a really nice wedding but I can’t afford it since my fiancé and I are full time students as well as have full time jobs. Also, I help take care of my mother. Everyone tells me I can not afford a wedding and I should just go to the justice of the peace. The thing of that is….I have dreamed about my wedding my entire life and I just can not imagine given up that day or settling for something because I can not afford it. I know you are a busy man. I reside in Dallas, TX and asking you to come to me I think is a bit much to ask. So I won’t go there…lol. With that being said I live on your website and study your episodes weekly. I intend to try to turn my wedding into a David Tutera master piece. I hope I make you proud;-) If you have any spare time to shoot any advice my way (I do not care what it is) you have no idea how grateful I would be.

P.S. My favorite part of your show is when you present the girls with a special something and they are sooo appreciative. It always chokes me up because I can only imagine that feeling. Any who, thank your for your time.

Best wishes always,
Chavone

Hi David, I just happened to watch We TV "My Fair Wedding" today (Seria Powell Episode). I love your show 'cause I can learn wedding tips from your experty. The funny part is, my theme color is exactly the same as Seria's. I was just talking about this with my teammates. Weird, huh?

I know your show might only take place in big cities. If there's only a slight chance for you to come down where I am, my dream will come true!!! I have been in the U.S. for almost 5 years, and I found a guy who I can spend the rest of my life here, whose name is Isaac. We are both in the school now, and I'm a student-athlete here in the U.S. As my name mentioned, I'm from Shanghai of China. However, I will have my wedding here in the U.S. instead.

I hope I will be picked to be a part of the future episode because you are THE perfect person to help me plan my wedding. Every bride wants to have a perfect wedding, and I'm not an exception.

Please email me back if you get chance. I would really appreciate. Thanks! I hope you will have more and more audiences to watch your fantastic show.

Hi David-

My name is Julie and I will be getting married on Sept 13, 2009(I know 13 is not a lucky number but it is ok for the chinese believe it or not.). My fiance and I are big fans of your show and we love your ideas. Actually it was my fiance's idea to write to you and ask you for help or ideas for our wedding.

I am chinese and he is jewish so we're having a "chewish" wedding. We want to combine themes from both sides. We are using red for our wedding color. So far we picked out the wedding venue which is a country club on Long Island. That's pretty much all the wedding planning we have done so far. I know it sounds like we're lazy bums but we have a good reason. I am from MA but now working in NYC so neither of my parents are available to help with the planning. Basically my fiance and I are am planning and paying for this wedding pretty much by ourselves.

I have a very busy stressful job caring for HIV patients and my fiance is full time grad student, post doc researcher, and single dad. I spend half of the week as a dentist helping provide free dental care to people who have HIV in the NYC and NJ area through a government federal grant. I love my patients and I work very hard to provide them with quality care but after a long day and seeing 16 patients or more, I honestly have no energy to think about a wedding. I love my job and my patients know I am committed to doing good work for them. But it is very draining on the soul. Anyhow the other part of the week I work in private practice to pay my student loans back and save up for my dream wedding. My fiance is back in grad school full time getting a masters in financial engineering at Columbia and is also full time post doctoral researcher in vascular surgery. Should I also mention that he is currently trying to get 4 more papers published by the end of this year! He is also a full time dad to his daughter from his previous marriage. So yes I must add being mom to my list of duties/jobs.

In addition my matron of honor my younger sister was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. So you could kind of say my family has been through a lot recently.

I would love my wedding to be memorable and special and if I could afford it I would hire a wedding planner to take over all the planning and brain storming however our finances are limited. I would love any ideas or tips you could give me. All help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Julie

Hey David,
Tonight was the first night for me to see your new show My Fair Weddings, It was wonderful. When I was waching it I felt relieved. I may have a chance for my wedding after all. You see my mother is disabled and has been for 25 years. we live on a fixed income not that im complaining because I love my life. Every young girl dreams of her fairy tale wedding, I've just resently learned that I may not get that fairy tale wedding that I've dreamed of forever. So I'm writing you today hoping that if you ever have the time to make a dream come true for me. It truly would make all of my dreams come true and my mother who deperately want's me to have a wonderful wedding but does not have any money to help make that dream come true. Thank you for your time I know your very busy.

Greetings David,
My daughter will be getting married in June of 2010 and would like to have a "VINTAGE" themed wedding. Vintage can cover a broad spectrum of ideas. What do you think would qualify as a Vintage theme? Design, colors, etc.
I wanted you to know that I simply adore your show and have it set on my DVR to automatically tape it. Then my daughter and I sit and watch it for your tips on how to create a great wedding. I hope this show continues to be the success that it is today.

David, I love your show. I am a bride-to-be who has waited forever to get married. I am 57 years old, and my fiance is in his late 40's. Neither of us have ever been married, and we are looking forward to our wedding. Growing up, I didn't spend my days dreaming about a wedding; I was too busy getting my education and starting my career. Not being young now, I have more self-doubts about choosing items that will support the right look for the wedding and reception. So, I could use a bit of advice as I prepare for our June 13, 2009, wedding and reception. We live near the beach in Delaware (I have always loved the ocean) and have chosen a boardwalk hotel for the reception (after a wedding and Mass at our parish church). The hotel is a Victorian-style hotel, So, I am trying to create a "Victorian beach" theme. I can find "beach theme" and "Victorian theme" on the web, but not a combination of the two. I have also found some elements to support my Polish-American heritage. Am I trying to do too much with the theme? Can eclectic ever work? Are you planning any more casting calls for upcoming shows? Although I am a bit of a "do it yourself" person, I respect your work enough to be ready to trust..I think.

Hello David -

I am a 41 year old bride getting married for the second time I find myself struggling on what is proper and not proper. My first wedding was all about what my mother wanted and I feel like this is finally my chance. But, I have had issues from selecting a gown to finding the right invitations. Is there any place to find help? We are getting married in March in Paso Robles, California. A great growing wine town with fine food and locations. Thanks - :)

Hi David,

I just want to start of and say I watch your show daily and I love all the work you do!! You are truly FABULOUS and one of kind. I can tell you go to the extreme for all of your brides to make them Happy!
However, I was wondering if you will ever do a show for couples that's all ready married and would like to renew their wedding vows. The only celeb person that I've seen that renewed their vows was actress.. Holly Robinson Pete. That really opened my eyes and that's when we (my hubby and I) really gave that idea some deep thought. We want to renew our vows in front of people that's in our circle of LOVE. My husband and I got married in August 2002. We had a big over the top wedding and Two years later we had two small children. Then we almost separated and we got through that tough period. We are still hanging on strong! I don't know anything about planning a Anniversary ceremony (What's the rules?) and I would love to have your expertise on this one!! Please help us! My email is cmccarthy@msn.com.

~Best Regards
Candie

Hi my name is CaSandra Davila. I want to have an outstanding wedding. Almost three years ago at 27 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily after radiation and chemotherapy I am now survivor. During that period I was engaged and I saw that my husband to be was more than the man I wanted to marry just by his strength alone. He helped me through probably the roughest time in my life. He loved me even though I was bald headed and weak. I know to some people that is expected but to me it gave me the courage to say I do. I figured if he could stand by me through this than he definitely was the man for me. I got married in the courthouse with just my mother, father and his grandmother due to the fact that both of his parents are deceased. I was very embarrassed due to my appearance and vowed to have a real wedding once my hair and health returned. Now that all of that has returned I'm ready to do it and go out with a bang.My favorite spot is Aruba being that I go there every year since I was little. I had missed two years due to my illness but went down this year and booked the Hyatt .There is a hut on there beach that is just remarkable. I really just want to show everyone that you can get through anything and still live out your dreams. My problem is that I have never really been girly. I have always been a tomboy so when it comes to food and flowers I have no clue. My mom has helped me up until this point but I really would love to just throw her for a loop as well. I want to wow people actually. I am now ready to get into the dress that left me in tears and glow. My hair is back and will be a lot longer next year and I'm so excited to have an event that will be unforgettable .I have included a picture of my first wedding in the courthouse and would hope that after seeing your show that David would help me. Thank you so much for listening to me and even if you don't pick me please respond so that I know. The wedding date is for October 23 rd 2009. It is currently scheduled at the Hyatt in aruba. My guests will be flying out October 22 2009 and staying until the 25th. Thank you so much for listening.

Definitely a fan of the show, CaSandra Davila

David,

I have recently begun watching your show and I must say that I absolutely admire all that you do for these couples to make their "special day" absolutely amazing. With that, I want to tell you the story surrounding myself and my fiance:

Kris and I originally met ten years ago; when he was 17 and I was 10. A foreign exchange student was staying with my family and Kris, who was from a nearby high school, was invited as her guest to the junior prom. It was then when my family first knew him and he became involved in our lives to some extent. Kris was employed at the local recreation center and my family saw him whenever we exercised there, especially when him and my father played basketball together on occasion. Soon thereafter, Kris graduated from high school and left his job at the recreation center, causing all of us to lose touch with him.

About seven years later, Kris came back into our life once again. At 17 years old, I was dating who happened to be working at a home improvement store. He came over to the house often and he asked permission to bring a friend from work home to visit with us. As it turns out, that friend was Kris! He continued coming over for quite some time and my family became quite fond of his company. In addition, I secretly began to see this man in a new light than I had years before. He had charmed my family, and soon enough, he had charmed me as well. Even though neither of us had admitted it at the time, we both began to become attracted to each other.

Unfortunately, the fateful path that life carries us through decided to separate us again when Kris enlisted in the United States Army. To this day, I remember the sadness I felt when I hugged him goodbye; figuring I would never see him again. I figured that this fact was confirmed when he was sent overseas to Iraq.

Over the years, both Kris and myself lived our separate lives. We had our daily trials and tribulations and had many experiences apart. Even though we had both been in other relationships, thoughts of each other and what could have been continued to linger.

In January of 2008, while Kris was in Iraq, he experienced an incident that truly caused him to realize his own mortality. Knowing that he could have lost any chances to truly say how he felt, he instantly contacted me and told me everything. Kris told me that he had made a mistake when he never told me how he felt and that he was determined to make it up to me in any way he possibly could. We talked for a long time that night and from there, we began a long series of conversations that enabled us to bridge the gaps of mileage and time that we had separating us.

Predictably, we fell very much in love soon after. Six thousand miles apart, we realized that this was it and that we had each met the person who we were meant to spend the rest of our lives with. Before we kissed, we were spouting words of love deeper than I could have ever imagined feeling.

In July, Kris returned to the United States for 18 days. Those days were among the very best in my life...

From then on, we have been in the process of planning our wedding. Actually, my mother and I have been. As of now, Kris is still in Iraq with the wedding being less than 6 months away. He is due to return in early January, but it gets difficult when he is not around to help with arrangements. I look forward to when he can be.

My parents are doing everything in their power to make this day as close to perfect as humanly possible and I absolutely love them for that. They have been very supportive in everything I do and I couldn't ask for more.

However, weddings are expensive. We are becoming very familiar with this fact. Budgets are becoming tighter these days and sacrifices have to be made as a result. I don't mind this terribly at all, since a wedding is about two hearts becoming united in love and not about glamour. I just feel like I want our wedding to be an expression of the story I've just told you. I want it to be like a dream coming true. That's what I feel like it is with Kris any myself: a dream. I met the man I'm going to marry when I was 10 years old...how many people can say that?

I know that you are likely a very busy man and have heard dozens of stories pleading for you to help them create their fairytale wedding. I would understand it completely if you don't have the opportunity to respond, but I just wanted someone to know our story, because it truly is the happiest one of my life.

Thank you for reading and for doing everything it is that you do...

All the best,
Jennifer Fenton

I very much enjoyed your show David. I am getting married on June 2009 and call feel the stress level building. After seeing your princess show and loving the dress that Jen had originally picked I knew I was in trouble. She pretty much had the dress I wanted.
I am trying to figure out how I can achieve the princess ball gown look but not go crazy. My fiance and I are on an extremely tight budget so we really don't know how to get everything done. At gthe moment all we have is the reception hall and the church. Well I have to complete a few things before they will oficially give us the church (more stress).
Most of my family does not drive and I am having it in Douglaston the church is off 71st and continental. So I also have to figure out how I will be able to get everyone to Queens from Inwood by 10:30 in the morning. I need flowers, music, pictures and video without officially going bankrupt. I also keep hearing horror stories about pictures never getting to the bride.
Any suggestions?

HI DAVID,

THIS IS SAM FROM CHICAGO. LET ME START BY SAYING THAT I ENJOY YOUR SHOW. WHEN THE BRIDES TELL YOU WHAT THEY EXPECT AND THE END RESULT IS, FOR A LACK OF A BETTER WORD, UNBELIEVABLE! MY WEDDING IS AUGUST 2009 AND I JUST HAD WRIST AND ELBOW SURGERY ON MY DOMINANT ARM. I AM A BRIDE ON A VERY LIMITED BUDGET. I WOULD SAY THAT 70% OF MY BUDGET IS THE RECEPTION AND I NEED TO INCORPORATE THE REMAINDER FOR EVERYTHING ELSE INCLUDING MY DRESS ALL WITH HANDLING ISSUES WITH MY NON DOMINANT HAND. I WANT A CELEBRITY WEDDING. HELP! ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME.

David,
Let me just tell you that I absolutly love your show!! I've seen every episode and occasionally watch reruns.
I feel slightly silly writing to you considering I don't know you or if this is even how I could get you to help me. Let me just tell you a little bit about myself and my fiance.
Sean and I met while attending high school. To be honest he was kind of annoying! He was the guy who used to pick me up by the back of my overalls. (Yes, a bad trend but it worked back then!!) I saw through the annoying side and we became friends. In 9th grade he moved away. After I graduated high school and started college, Sean showed up at my house unexpected and was a transfored man! He had joined the Marine Corps. I was so excited for him. The next time I talked to him he was spending a year in Japan. We talked nearly every day. Soon our friendship became much more.
When he came home from Japan for 30 days I knew that he was the one I wanted to spend all my days with. Six months later we were engaged. Much to our parents relief we decided to wait till Sean finished his 4 years in the Corps and I graduated from college.
While engaged Sean became stationed in California while I live in Pennsylvania. Then he was shipped to Iraq for 7 months. He nearly lost his life twice. I thank God everyday that he came home to me.
Sean finally finished his active duty years and came back to me and Pennsylvania. We got an apartment and started planning our wedding and our lives together.
In mid October of this year we were blindsided by a Recall to Active Duty letter. There is a slim chance the Marine Corps may change their mind, but if he is recalled he leaves June 14, 2009, which unfortunaly is 6 days before the day we had been planning on getting married. I am absolutely terrified that I may have to move my wedding date up and make it happen fast and still make it our day. I am even more terrified that I may lose him this time around.
Right now my wedding and life is in limbo waiting to find out Sean's and my future. I am not worried about having a perfect wedding, I just want to marry the man I love. He is my hero and my life would not as blessed had he not shown up at my door that night. I do not know whether you are going to continue doing the "My Fair Wedding" series but if you are please consider Sean and I.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello from the beach .... My family and I are great fans of the show and certainly hope there will be another season. Our family is the midst of planning a May 2, 2009 wedding for our daughter and we are getting scads of ideas from your show. As the mother of the bride and wedding planner, I am beginning to feel the stress of such an undertaking. (Hint ... Hint!) We would like to extend an invitation to you, Mr. Tutera, to attend our week long wedding in May. We have a bridal tea, golf tournament, beach party, and baseball game scheduled for our guests, as we are a destination wedding of sorts. While our family lives in Southeastern NC, our bride to be and guests are from all over NC, TX, FL, NY, and as far away as Puerto Rico. We are attempting to implement all of these plans on a shoe string budget. I am used to these constraints, as my husband and I have raised 5 children over the last 26 years, but as you are well aware, it isn't always smooth sailing. In any event, we will continue to TiVo your episodes and pour over each one again and again. Hope to see new shows soon. Thanks for all you do!!

Hello David
My daughter (Maxine, age 24) will be married in July 2009 so plans are starting to progress.I believe Max is unique in the sense that she has NOT grown up "dreaming of her wedding day" (more interested in travel) and now that it is upon her it has almost taken her by surprise. We also have a very rich heritage so it has been quite a challenge trying to figure out a theme! Although we now live in Ohio, our original heritage is British, Max was born in South Africa (adopted by an American when she was younger) and has spent the past 4 years living & working in Hong Kong as a student. She is getting married to an American chap who also has some ideas of his own. So how does one "tastefully" capture the essence of Africa, Asia, the UK and USA, yet maintain the personality of the bride & groom??????
This is what we have so far ......... A traditional church ceremony, followed by a garden "Tea" on the church lawns for about 200 guests in the afternoon. Thereafter, close family and friends approximately 70 guests will go on to a formal dinner reception at a venue called The Fountain Room at Tangiers restaurant. The architecture and decor of the fountain room is Moroccan. Her wedding dress is absloutely classic and at this stage she has NO IDEA what her attendants will wear. The wedding is almost taking on a "Cassablanca" feel right now, with the venue and the classic 50's gown .....
OK, so here is the million Dollar question .... how does one enter / apply / audition to be on your show? You have said many times how much you enjoy the challenge ......... Well you can really sink your teeth into this one I think :)
Regards
Penny
PS: Max is beautiful, funny and downright fabulous (even if some of her ideas are out there on the left field!!!)

My husband and I are planning to remarried on august 9th in Vegas. It will be just the two of us. We also are taking this trip to celebrate our 40th B-day. My question is: what should I wear? Long, short, white, blue, yellow... Where do you recommend as a good place in Vegas for our dinner for 2? I'm Portuguese/Brazilian and my husband American and we both have not been in Vegas before. So it's going to be our first trip (and together) to Vegas. Hope to get some tips form you David. Thank you!

David,
You are absolutely amazing. I am 18 years old, and surprisingly enough, I am planning
my wedding. No I’m not engaged nor do I have a man in my life, but I want my wedding to be so
perfect that I am calculation the cost to make sure I have enough money when I do get married. I
am a princess and I dream of having a princess wedding. I have just seen Jennifer’s wedding and
she is truly a princess. She is having the wedding of my dreams and even though I am a little bit
jealous, I do believe she deserves it. Every bride deserves the wedding of their dreams.

David,
I am in the San Diego area and was wondering if you have a list of Make-up artists you could recommend?
My wedding day is 3/21/09 and this past weekend I had a Make-up consult at the MAC counter in Nordstrom. I ended up leaving in tears, I was so frustrated. Not only did the woman ignore what I was trying to tell her but cosmetics were so heavy on my face you could cut it with a knife. It disgusted me and I had to wipe everything off as soon as I left.
Can you please have someone email me a list of references in the San Diego area for make-up.
I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you so much.

I know you get asked this alot but would I have to get your services or to get on the show. I live in Memphis, Tenn and get married March 28, 2009.

david! you are fabulous! i work in los angeles, with two co-workers that are fell in love at work, engaged and will be getting married. 80% friends and family are here. the others in a small town on the east coast. our soon to be bride friend is dying to be married here in sunny california...but hands are tied. she needs help but can't make the financial pull to have it here..you know how that goes! they are a beautiful, kind couple. how can we get her on this sassy show of yours so they can have the day they really want..in california like she really wants?

David I really need your help. I'm looking to have my wedding in August 2009 and my fiance and I are looking to do Peach and cream as the main colors but I want another color to go with it but can't quite think of one like orange or yellow or something like that. Plus not sure what type of centerpieces would work out with it. Don't really want flowers as centerpieces. I'm one that like odd things that stands out. I'm a small time wedding planner myself in Pittsburgh and believe me when your doing your own wedding it get's to be crazy because you have too many ideas and can't narrow them down. When your doing everybody else's wedding and events you can jump right in and make it wonderful. That's why most planners hire someone else to do it and believe me I would love for someone else to make it happen for me.

Dear David,
Let me start with, I LOVE YOUR SHOW! I was planning a destination wedding in Aruba because I figured since I was no good at planning a wedding I would be able to pick a package and show up and the entire thing would be done. I traveled there in October to find out there is no such package. I also chose that destination because the last time I was there I was with my mother who has since passed from cancer. I've decided to try and have it here on Long Islad NY where I live since planning one so far away will be that much harder. I don't know where to begin. It just doesn't feel right planning this wedding without my mom. I would love to be on your show and have your help. I think you are amazing! Please contact me!!! caliacat@verizon.net Thank you, Kami

Hi David-
My name is Leticia and I LOVE your show and all the heart you pur into these couples' lives. My fiance' and I watch it every Sunday we even watch the ones we have seen already. We have been together for almost 12 years (rare highschool sweethearts) and our love grows stronger everyday. We are finally planning to marry in September 2009. We wanted a Fall theme becuase of the warmth and togetherness it signifies. We have always wanted to wed but there was always an obstical that would interfere. We have a nine year old daughter who up to now did not know the importance of marriage. She also watches your show with us.
We want to celebrate our love with our family and friends. We would LOVE your help, it would be a true blessing that we need.

Hey David,
I just recently discovered your show on wetv and of course loved it! I just read over a dozen comments of people begging to be on your show and I would be very suprised if you get to all of those requests. More power to you if you do......I, like many others that have wrote, am getting married this September in Charleston, SC. All the decisions are so overwhelming that it's hard to make ONE not to mention I hate planning. I have a high reguard for what you do because I would be so frustrated doing it all the time! I may be one of the many few who did wish someone else would plan it and I could just show up, ha! But I'm trying to get alot of tips from your show and it has been very helpful. Thanks and keep it up!

I will be planning my wedding in a bout a year. You have giving me some good idea's thanks. I found my bestfriend and soul mate and can't wait to start our planning.

David,
My name is La Vonne, and my fiance's name is Brett. Our wedding is set for 9-5-2009 and I have no idea what I am doing. Thus far I have the cheese cakes paid for and picked out but no wedding cake picked out. The flowers paid for, but I have no idea of what I want, other than tea roses and calla lilies. I don't know how to pull off a beautiful backyard garden wedding of a life time, but know what I want and have it all envisioned, in my mind, so, what I need is someone who can take my thoughts and ideas out of my head and lay them out in front of my family, my fiance and me on our wedding night. My colors are Navy blue, yellow and white. We have decided on a back yard night wedding set by candle light. We have the menu decided with the wines made for the favors and serving. There are 209 guest invited and we are looking at 170 to attend.

I am 44 years old, a mother of 3 beautiful children, 2 of which graduate college in May of 2009, the baby is a junior in high school and all of which are in the wedding. I met and fell in love with a beautiful man who is 42 years old and is everything I ever prayed for in a strong, faithful sensitive, nurturing man who has 5 boys of his own, 2 of which are in the wedding. Being I have only been to 3 weddings in my life, one of which was mine in front of a justice of the peace. With that being said, you can see, I have no idea how to plan this and pull it off without some help from someone who knows what they are doing, you, David Tutera.

I have seen the magic you have performed on the show, My Fair Wedding, and you capture the sophistication in an elegant and tasteful way without being gaudy. You are the wedding planner my fiance and I have agreed can pull off the perfect wedding for us with the touch of sophistication, elegance all while staying within our budget. We would love to interview to be a bride and groom for a wedding done by you and your team. We would like to know how we can go about applying to be a part of your next season's show, My Fair Wedding.

I look forward to hearing from you or your representative.

Sincerely,

La Vonne J. Vincent-Jackson

David-

Help! I emailed you before asking for ideas or any helps in planning a chinese/jewish wedding aka chewish. Right now we have a gliche in the wedding. The Long Island catering hall where we booked was sold recently and not taking any more reservations for Oct 2009. Our wedding is for Sept 13, 2009. We are really afraid that the quality of the service of the catering hall will be compromised and that we won't get what we paid for because the hall won't care about its reputation since it will be going out of business. What should we do? We are paying for the wedding ourselves so we are on a tight budget.

Thanks

Dear David,
I have just recently come across your series of the "MY FAIR WEDDING". Besides having enjoyed watching, it has given me several ideas and has also answered several questions that I had. One question not answered, is how to move my guest from one area to another for a temporary time to set up for dinner. I was thinking about having the ceremony in the same place as my reception. I have a feeling I need to get a planner so this will run smoothly. Can you suggest someone in the eastern north carolina area. My theme is 1930's vintage holliwood as the venue we're getting married at was built around that same time period and looks like a miniture mansion on the river.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi, David! I LOVE your show! I have seen each episode at least twice so far. I am about to get married on Valentine's Day... just 5 1/2 weeks left! I am in a panic mode now! I am a divorced mother of 3 children (13, 11, & 9) I did not have the big wedding the first time around, just a justice of the peace, and have dreamed of this forever. The problem I got myself into is that I quit my job in early October due to travel and money issues (gas & day care expenses were too high) and now I find myself in a huge mess. I have found a part time job that is closer to my home, but they are not giving me as many hours as I need, and none of the other 30 or so jobs I have applied for have called me back! I guess I made a bad move, what's done is done, but now my dilema is having the money to get everything that is left done before the big day! I still don't have a limo service or photographer because I can't find one in my area cheap enough. And I still don't have favors and I am making my own silk flower bouquets to save money also. I am waiting for my tax return and hoping that I will get enough back just to be able to pay the hall/caterer. Any ideas on cheap favors that I can either make or buy cheap that are still elegant enough for my Valentine's day wedding? And do you think it would be tacky to put those disposable cameras on the table for my guests to take candid pictures at the reception? I am torn about that, but with the money problem, that is what I think I will have to do. I am planning on having a family member take posed pictures after the ceremony at the church. As long as I have some photos I will be ok. I wanted to be able to enjoy the planning process and the wedding, but I am so stressed out that I cannot wait until this is all over! Part of me just wants to go back to the courthouse and just get it over with! Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated! Maybe your ideas can ease my stress a little! LOL Thanks so much for your time. I am sorry to bother you with questions.

Hello David :)
I'm getting married in 7 months and pretty torn. I have been planning my wedding since the day after I got engaged. This is my second marriage so I want it to be as simple as possible. I have alot of ideas of what I want but as it gets closer to the wedding date, I'm getting alot of feedback from family members on how it should be. I want simplicity and they want formal. Should I give in? I know their way will be beautiful but thats just not me. The ceremony and reception is being held in the backyard of a friends home. What do you think David?
Thanks

To apply for the show, send an e-mail to mfw@pilgrimfilms.com. We are filming season two soon!

As for your wedding dress--do you want a flowing, light chiffon dress that is wonderful for an outdoor wedding, or a more formal dress for an indoor ballroom-like setting? I would suggest that since you are having an intimate wedding, go more flowing and elegant. That style will look amazing in the setting you have described. I would, however, suggest that you add jewelry to this gown to dress it up--jewelry will really make it feel special. So many brides opt for simple, understated dresses without adding accessories, and that to me is a huge mistake. This is your wedding--you need to look all dressed up with somewhere to go! -- David

Okay. So lesson learned--never go to a counter in a department store for a trial of your wedding make-up. At least now, you know that is not the right place. Unfortunately I do not know the San Diego area for make up, but you need to find an artist that does weddings and--that you are comfortable with. You are accurate by doing a test-run (see what you found out! This is WHY we do test runs!) Remember your make up must make you look like yourself, and never like you are so done up that you won’t recognize yourself when you look at your pictures. Sorry, I don't have actual make up artists to refer you to—but my best advice is that hair and make up should look elegant but YOU and an artist who can make that happen is one to keep!

Hi there... I love Chicago, it’s one of my favorite places. You have some truly wonderful venues to choose from in the Windy City. I have done parties at the Field Museum, The House of Blues, The Lyric Opera House stage and more.

Thanks so much for watching my show!!! Maybe one of these days, we will come to Chicago to film “My Fair Wedding”-- that would be great!

This show for me has become such a gift. I adore each bride I meet, and I love to really listen to them to see what it is they are wishing and dreaming for. I know that so many times budget comes into play and causes some wrong decisions. Also, so many brides are rushing to get things done and looking in the wrong places for their wedding items… so helping out these brides on the show and those watching means so much to me. I have been doing this for over 20 years, and this is one of the most gratifying things I have had the chance to do. I only hope I can bring “My Fair Wedding” to you for many years and continue to take all brides’ visions and make a few “revisions.” Thank you for enjoying the show. -- David

CaSandra, thank you for sharing your story. You have two reasons to celebrate: the union of your marriage and the celebration of life. I am so happy you are doing well, and that, as you know, is so important. The fact that you are ready to live life and celebrate is amazing, and I am delighted for you. I wish I could give you a huge hug! Aruba is stunning and a wonderful location to have your wedding party. We are casting for season two of show, but it’s for weddings from March to May. Believe me, I would love to come to Aruba to make your dreams come true!

Don’t worry that you are not “girlie,” it’s completely okay! Make this YOUR wedding, and find things that truly represent you and your groom as a couple. Use the beautiful natural surroundings of Aruba to become your backdrop, and make sure sunset plays into your wedding timeline somehow. Congratulations on everything, and celebrate your life in style! -- David

I do all types of parties! Weddings are a part of my business. I love doing the Moroccan theme; it’s the best…Lots of color and lots of spices. Think bold and bright, and enjoy finding your décor—use lots of lanterns, bowls of spices and foods, and lots of texture. -- David

I love that your family watches my show. Thanks so much—and you’ve invited me to your wedding! You are so kind, thank you!!

Having friends and family in from all parts of the country is the best when you are celebrating a wedding. It makes it feel somewhat like a family reunion. So with that said, make sure you are creating an environment that truly includes everyone and makes the wedding feel special. I love the bridal tea, golf tournament, beach party and baseball game—it’s all fantastic. Make sure you give your guests some down time, too, so they can rest up for the wedding. As much as guests love to be entertained, they also appreciate not being over-entertained, as well! So have fun, (which it certainly sounds like you will) and thanks again for watching the show. Season two is going to happen so keep an eye out! -- David

Congrats! I love that you are combining these two big events and doing it in Vegas. I love it there. For your dinner make sure its somewhere romantic. Try Le Cirque at The Bellagio, Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian or Mon Ami Gabi at Paris… Change locations for a special dessert, like going to the Chocolate Swan at Mandalay Bay. For more, check out all the dining possibilities at: http://lasvegas.citysearch.com/yellowpages/results/Las_Vegas_NV/page1.html?flavor_id=2&cw3=54

Your dress should feel bridal, but not “overly bridal” in style. Long length is my suggestion, flowing in fabric. It should feel like an evening gown, but with bridal in its core style. Not heavy in beading, almost old Hollywood in style. Choosing the color without seeing the bride is hard for me to answer as I believe color has to match your skin tone (and I also am a firm believer the style of dress has to match your body type!)

Hope this helps! Have fun! Roll the dice for me. -- David

You are right! Every single woman should have the wedding of her dreams! I like how you are thinking ahead, it’s fantastic. You would be surprised how many girls I meet that have all their wedding plans in place but no groom! Its okay, just don't share that bit of info when you meet Mr. Right. LOL! Your tastes may change as time moves forward, so keep looking at things that you like and add to your dream wedding plans! -- David

Dear David,

I'm a single 52 year old man living in Southern California and I work from my home while also caring for my elderly parents. I enjoy your show very much as it gives me hope that one day I can marry again, and that weddings are such a beautiful thing to be celebrated by all. And you have the magic to make it all come together so beautifully for each of your TV shows.

About 2 years ago I met a very special woman, a teacher who works in Thailand, though she's from the Philippines, and I have grown closer and closer to her. I hope one soon day that I can surprise her and visit her there in Thailand and hopefully to ask her to marry me.

I just want to end by saying your character, your wedding genius, your exceptional TV episodes, have kept my faith in marriage alive and strong, pushing me forward with that hope that one day I too can marry again and celebrate life through a wedding filled with many of the ideas I've learned from you.

Thank you for giving us a super television show to watch.

Dear David,
I love your show.
I am always very shy and never thought I would actually do this. I am getting married 2/14/09. Yep, just around the corner but I feel like everything is falling apart. I do not have a theme, except that it's Valentine's day and most things will be in red. I'm not good at planning so I'm letting the venue do its thing. I have yet to figure out favors. I think it will be chocolates.
I really wish that I could have been on your show but since that is like 1 in a 100,000,000,000 chances..... do you have any last minute advice for a lost bride?
Thank you so much.

David,

I must admit, I am not a very dedicated We TV watcher, but I caught your show, "My Fair Wedding" last night and I was just BLOWN AWAY by your talent!! I simply had to log on to your blog to let you know how impressed I was!

You have such wonderful, beautiful visions for these brides. I could see the wheels turning in your head the minute you entered the wedding venue (i.e. the south beach wedding) and you were able to transform that space into something totally unique. You are good at listening to what the bride has in store for her day while building upon that idea in order to create a miraculous wedding. I love the flair that you bring to the table. Again, you are very good at communicating your ideas to these women, and it is obvious that you care greatly about what it is you do...

Thanks for being so passionate. Your talent is truly changing people's lives.

Peace Always,
Kate.

Hi David,
I love your show.
My daughter got engaged on Christmas day and wants to get married on 09/19/09. We really could use your help. I never had a wedding so know very little about planning one. I was married by the justice of the peace almost 30 years ago (4/21/79). I want my daughter to have the wedding of her dreams and even though she isn't looking for a huge elaborate affair, money is very tight. My husband had a stroke just over 4 years ago, so for a couple of years he really didn't work much. We are trying very hard to get back on track and are just keeping our heads above water.
My daughter would be happy with a big tent in her back yard and would prefer a buffet to a sit down dinner, but that is as far as we have gotten. Any help you could give us would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
Take care,
Pam

Another Chance.........

How can I enter to possible have David Tutera, the wedding guru, help me with a possible wedding ceremony this summer? My husband and I are currently married; however we could not have a ceremony as planned because we found out that we were pregnant. Therefore, instead we opted for the quick "I do's" with our local judge, which was hilarious because our "guests" were repeated offenders of DUI, Drug possession, convicted felons etc...., and then dinner with our parents. Kind of like dinner and a movie concept..Lame I know. We liked the opportunity to share it with our parents but would love another chance to proclaim our love with our daughter and our extended family. And for this reason, the chance to have David Tutera help through our new endeavor would be an extra added bonus, ok lets be real it would be an amazing experience. Therefore, if someone could possible let me/us know how to enter to be on his show it would be well appreciated from the heart! Thank you

Hi David! You are such a special man....what you do with a couples wedding is amazing! And I hope that I can come close to getting it right. I have been waiting for this day for 35 years. And after 2 very bad relationships I have finally found the man of my dreams. I've been a single parent for the last 19 years and now I have someone to love me and my children unconditionally....and it feels great. Anyway, I want something small and intimate but beautiful! I think we deserve it. I live in the Bronx and I was thinking The Boat House in Central Park (06/18/2010) for the reception. I mean my gueast list might be between 35-45 people. Basically any advice or ideas you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Like color, types of flowers, etc. Because on top of everything else I suck at making decisions! And I really don't have much outside help so whatever advise, tips or ideas you have would be greatly appreciated. Lucy. Email address: Luceleniacruz@yahoo.com or 347-731-4498. Hi David,
Congratulations! As a frequent viewer of your program, I am so impressed by your suauve manners when handling the brides. I am the Mother of a Bride fervently seeking your assistance in allowing my "Princess" to fulfill her dream wedding (Sept/Oct 09). We need to locate a site available for the entire weekend where, following an elegant, but not stuffy, Saturday PM wedding, the party can continue into the evening, and family from abroad can overnight to enjoy a Sunday Brunch "family time" with the newlyweds (sharing and bunking accommodations family style). Any suggestions that are not too costly? BIG THANKS!

Hi David- I truly enjoy watching your show and taking in all of your wonderful tips. I do have a couple questions/problem for you to address. In one of your episodes you mentioned that every bride should have her "this is the one moment" for her dress. When we were dress shopping, my daughter didn't have that experience and neither did I. I'm wondering if she made a choice she will regret now. You also mentioned in an episode that silk flowers are a definite no-no. Well she wanted me to do the flowers and we are planning on using silk. Her wedding will be in a somewhat isolated area and not near and large cities to be able to shop for flowers, etc. My last problem just arose in the past few weeks. One of her brothers(she has 2, both older than she is) just deployed to Iraq for the 3rd time. He's a staff sgt. in the 82nd Airborne and is joining a unit that deployed in Nov. We were hoping he'd be able to get a leave for her wedding in June. However his commander said all the guys that are just going over to meet the unit will not receive leaves while they are there. This absolutely breaks my heart and hers. She considered delaying the wedding for a year, but decided against it. I was hoping she would wait and now I'm having trouble getting excited about it when I know my son is going to miss yet another family wedding and this time his own sisters. Please help! Thanks you! Anita

Dear David,
I feel funny writting to you at this time because I see so many request for your assistance in wedding planning. I don't know how to even begin knowing that there may be someone else more deserving than me. See I am getting married to man of my life. My wedding is currenly set for July 3, 2010. When I say the man of my life I mean with all my heart. See the man I am going to marry is my childhood sweetheart. We have known each other since we were 8 years old. We grew up in Boston, MA. I know it sounds funny but he was my knight in shing armour. When I was a kid. Other kids used to tease me because I have a skin condition that makes my face very red and my hands are very scaly and dry. While everyone was teasing he always saw past all of that and cared for me and chased the kids away. He was my little "boyfriend". We dated on and off until we were 16 and his mother sent him away to puerto Rico to live with his dad. I was devastated. We kept in touch over the phone for a little while but then lost communication. As life goes on I eventaully dated and met and married my first husband, But I never stopped wondering about my first love. My only info was when I ran into his sister once in a while and I would ask how he was doing,; longing to see him again. Of course he married too and joined the military. He eventually moved to North carolina where he was stationed in Fort Bragg. He too apparently would wonder about me and ask his sister for my number but she never gave it to him because she new I was married. I was married for 7 years and after making a big move to Puerto Rico shortlyafter my father passed away ,my first husband became very depressed and began to act stangely. One day he told me he needed time and he left. I never saw him again. I was heart broken and lonely and moved back to Boston to be with family. And one wonderful day as I was checking my e-mail. There it was. A message from my first love, Miguel. He was single and living in Durham North Carolina and had been looking for me online, He left his phone number and I called him that night and it felt like 15 years had never gone by. Well the rest is history. After 2 month of long distance I packed myself and my kids and moved to NC. We have know been together for 2 years and every min has been a blessing. I can hardly believe that God has brought us together. He is a cristian man and a wonderful stepfather to my 3 kids. We plan to move back to Boston this summer, where both our families live, so we can marry and have a beautiful wedding around our friends and loved ones. Either of us ever had a nice wedding. I have a modest budget but I think I can pull something off that is beautiful. I just want to marry him and spend the rest of my life with THE ONE. I am not quite sure why I am writting you except that I have seen your shows and I believe you to be a very sincere, kind and genuine person. You manage to put womens dreams into a whole new light. I am a fan. I am hoping that my wedding will be romantic, elegant yet intimate. I am Latin, as is my fiance, Puerto Rican to be exact and would like to incorporate that Latin vibe with out making it it look tacky. I am truly not trying to get you to pay for anything except help me marry my childhood sweetheart and best friend and make my wedding wishes come true. I am sure there are many wonderful brides far more worthy than I. Even some suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You and God Bless you,
Jessica Villafane

I was wondering if you could let everyone know when (IF) you will be in the Jacksonville Florida area July 31st of next year? My husband and i love your show and would love to be a contestant for you to do our vow renewal. Our first wedding turned out so bad that neither of us were happy and want the vow renewal to be what we always dreamed. I am a fan on your facebook so if you could post there as well we would love it. Thank you.

Dear David,
If I am right, you covered the most beautiful walls in the city of Philly. The Bellevue Stratford is a grand hotel and just about the loveliest hotel I've ever stayed in. It has old world ambiance.
I was shocked, but at the same time so grateful that you left the chandeliers. What's up with that?
Short of having the reception at the Museum of Art or the Academy of Music, this hotel is it.
I have enjoyed your show, but felt sad about this.

Hi David
I know you hear this all the time but I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!! I also love your ideas. I am getting married in September, 6 months...yikes. I am doing an ok job of getting stuff done, but my problem is I am getting married in Houston, TX and planning it in Gainesville, GA. Since I am doing this long distance, I cannot go in order for what needs to be done when, I saw on one of your Platinum wedding shows, a couple in Philadephia, PA who had these picture frames on each table with the table number on them, They were rhinestone frames. Since I can do the little things while I am in GA, I thought I would try to find or make them. I priced out rhinestones at a fabric store and it would cost me close to $500 to make them. Is there a website that you know of that has rhinestone frames for the tables? Is there a cheaper way to make them? Please help me..I'm trying to do all of this by myself and it would be great if I could get some direction.

Dear Mr. Tutera:

I am very thankful and grateful for what you are doing for many women to make their dream a memorable occasion. As a licensed and ordained minister I am thoroughly impressed with what you have done and are doing to bring all visions beyond the bride's imagination to fruition. So, many brides are disappointed, but you make everyone receive so much joy even the viewers who are watching the program.

Again, thank you for blessing many women. Also, I pray blessings upon you and those who assist you. Also, many years of success on your show My Fair Wedding and as you continue to plan weddings for women in all ranges of life.

In addition, my Mother and I know you have the best wedding program. You are a gift from God. Your first name shows everyone you are a man after God's own heart.

Peace filled with many blessings,

Hi David,

My name is DeSiree’ Williams and I live in the Washington, DC area. I am getting married to the love of my life. He completes me (my peanut butter and I am his jelly). We have an already made family. We have two daughters and 1 son. Dorian and I are planning to get married on 9/19/09. I was reading the BLOGS on WETV and I read that you are filming the second season. I just want to say congratulation on the show and tell you how special you are for taking time out of your schedule to help women plan their special day. That ONE BIG moment only comes once and for you to do this it’s great. J I would like to ask a question? What can I do about my venue? I picked this famous place in the area that is known for elegance, class and style everything you can think of. Well I took a look around and found something’s wrong for example the chairs. They are horrible. I want to change them out but it will coast a lot of money. Another option is to do chair covers I don’t want to do that either because everyone does chair covers. I want my day to be special in it own way for Dorian and myself. I just need a suggestion or an idea that could help me out.

Thanks

David, Your show is fabulous and my favorite on WEtv. I love the way you are with the brides, very intuitive. I have a friend and collegue who is getting married on Nov.7. She is an artist, photographer, and a very private person. She wanted a wedding on the cliffs overlooking the Irish countryside or to get married in a forest in the winter. She will not be doing those things, because it won't work for the rest of her family. I would like you suggest a venue that would allow her to create those effects. It should have a vintage look, high ceiling, classy, not traditionally wedding like and not glitz. Elegant, understated, and creative just like her. She grew up in Darien, CT. Anywhere in Manhattan, Westchester, or Fairfield County would be great. Thanks, Jill

Dear David,

I have a unique situation and I'm not sure if you have enough time to help. However, I'm going to ask regardless.
I'm getting married on October 24th,2009. This is my second wedding and my fiance's first. We didn't have alot of money to work with, but the wedding we have planned is nice. I would like it to be spectacular for my finance and I am hoping you can help.

We met in a unique way that you might find interesting. I was coming home from a hospital admission when I started having an allergic reaction to the antibiotics I was taking. I had my children in the car with me, who were 5 and 8 at the time. I ended up having to pull over on the side of the road to call my sister because I was having a hard time breathing, when she arrived she promptly called 911. Because I live in a rural area we have First Responders who also come and assist the ambulance when you call 911. That is how I first met Jeremy, he showed up to assist me. I ended up going to the hospital in the ambulance and Jeremy drove my car home, with my kids in it, to my sisters house. While he was driving my kids he reassured them that I would be OK and home soon. My daughter still has the stuffed duck that he gave her. He made a huge impact on my kids that day and he didn't even realize it. He also made a huge impact on the course of my life.

It was because of his actions that day that I became interested in EMS. It took me 2 years and divorce before I entered school. I did not see Jeremy during those 2 years, not even around the small town we lived in, but I never did forget him.
Once I started school, I applied to become a First Responder in our area, not knowing if Jeremy was even volunteering as a First Responder still.

I saw him again for the first time in 2 years at my interview. I recognized him immediately and promptly reminded him of who I was, to my surprise he remembered me. By this time I was already in the process of a divorce. After a few months of seeing each other on calls and at meetings we ended up going out on a whim one night and that ended up leading to our big day in October. Since then I have also become an EMT and finished a Paramedic course. With Jeremy's help, of course.

Like I said before, this is my second wedding and I already have 3 children, so I would have been very happy with just eloping. It is important to Jeremy that he has a wedding in a church with his family and friends to celebrate this day, and I can't deny him after all he has done for me and my children.

I had been sick off and on with chronic kidney infections for awhile before I met Jeremy. However, I had a long happy streak of being healthy before we met and for the first year of dating. 12 years ago I had my right kidney removed because I had a benign growth and infections. A little after Jeremy and I had been dating for a year I started getting sick again. In January a cat scan reveled that I have another growth on my remaining kidney. I had suddenly been getting frequent infections again. Since January the growth had gotten bigger in size and the infections have become more frequent, almost every 2-3 weeks, and I have been hospitalized for at least 4 days to a week when I get another infection.

During this time Jeremy has taken care of me and my children without a single complaint or concern for his self. He works 24 hour shifts in EMS 3 days a week, and on his days off he sits with me at the hospital until the kids get home from school then he goes home to take care of them. Making sure they have family dinners, homework is done, kids get to appointments and just keeping things steady and normal as can be for them while I am gone. Jeremy does all of these things happily, with a smile for all of us. Comforting all of us and just making life for us as wonderful as it can be. He goes to almost every Dr appointment with me, reassuring me and being ever so patient when I get frustrated and angry. He also makes me feel safe. He understands when I cry and reassures me when I am afraid. I was off of work for a month due to complications of my last infection; Jeremy was there for me emotionally, financially and physically when I couldn't take care of myself. He spent endless time with the kids helping them lead normal lives. He did all of this while working his two EMS jobs, volunteering as a Firefighter and as a First Responder. He is without a doubt, hands down the best person I have ever or will ever know.

I would just like to make this day extraordinary for him, to give him memories he will never forget. I can never repay him for all the things he has done for me and my children, nor would he want me to. If I can make him feel for one day as special as he makes me feel everyday I couldn't ask for anything more.

We live in a rural Michigan town, and my wedding is only a month away. We are spending our "honeymoon" at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio to see if there is anything the Dr's there can do to stop these infections and take care of this growth. Jeremy deserves more of a honeymoon than that. If there is anything you can do to help it would mean the world to me to be able to do this for Jeremy. Even if you can't at least there will be another person who knows how wonderful he is.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Jen M

Hi David,

I love watching My Fair Wedding. It is great and very inspirational for me. I am a mother of the bride and just beginning to plan my youngest daughter's wedding. She is on a very limited budget (less than $8,000) and doesn't really have a handle on what direction she wants to go in. They are getting married on the beach (that's is for sure), but they DO NOT want a beach themed wedding. All they can come up with is "casual elegance." Where do I go from there...especially on the limited budget? Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi David,
My name is Denise and I love watching your show. I have to say the transformation of the places you do are unbelievable. I have been with my fiance for 10 years we finally just got engaged a few months ago, a very long time I have waited. I have been dreaming of this day since I was a little girl and I want it to be everything I have imagined and more. I met my fiance when I was 16 years old and now I am 27...High School sweetheart:) I have a 7 year old son and planning a wedding is crazy as ever. I would love to be on your show and wanted to know how to enter. I live here in Philadelphia and we are getting married Sept. 2010. I wasnt sure if you would be doing any shows here soon but if you are please let me know how I can enter. Keep doing what you are doing....Your show is amazing

Kudos David, you're a great designer and coordinator! The best advise I got at my wedding was to bend my knees so as not to faint and no one would notice with a big dress. And #1 observation, PLEASE tell your brides to hold their bouquet down LOW infront of them, not up by their neck or chest. It looks A LOT better especially for pictures. You'll notice it all the time now I've mentioned it.
Love the show,
Kerry :)

Hi David,
I get so excited when watching My Fair Wedding. It amazes me with your brilliant mind when I see the results of your creativity come to life. However, I have a great challenge for you. I currently live on Guam and will be getting married in July 2010. Guam is beautiful with limited sources! What I mean by this is trying to look for beautiful flowers, dresses, and all the essentials are a must but i am very limited and costly. I would love to be on your show and challenge you with something so different. I promise you, this will be one the greatest challenges you may face to be on a small island with our humidity and still be able to put on a great show. Please do let me know where i can apply to even be on your show.

Hi David
Our daughter will be getting "married" March 2010, not your typical guy girl wedding, our daughter is gay and we are having a celebration. We are trying to have everything any other bride would want for her wedding except a male as the groom. We could use your expert advice and we want the day to be spectacular for our daughter and her partner. Haven't seen any episodes of same sex couples, we would love to be your first. Hoping our wish comes true, thank you

My fiance and I were supposed to get married in June 2010 but his Military school dates have been moved up meaning he will be gone for most of next year(Feb-Oct), so our wedding date has been changed to December 19,2009. That is so quickly approaching, and the big kicker is that we live in Texas and are getting married in Washington state in order for his grandfather to attend. So basically we are planning this wedding without ever physically seeing the location for the wedding or reception. I see you come in and plan a wedding in a week. Do you have any pointers? How do i know I am getting a good deal for the area? Is it tacky to just incorporate the Christmas decorations into the wedding so I dont have to decorate as much? Thank you for your assistance and advice.

Hi Mr. Tutera-
My name is Misty and I am a 32 year old mother of 5 whose wedding dreams were shattered by a divorce that was never ending. We had our venue, limo, flowers, etc booked, cake was the only thing left to do, had my dream dress all to be thrown away by a nasty divorce/custody battle that my now husband had been going through for over 3 1/2 years. Needless to say, I gave my dress away, lost all of the money on the wedding and most importantly, we didn't get our dream wedding that we so deserved.

So when the divorce was final, we went to a little chapel in Columbus Ohio and exchanged vows in front of our children. My Husband, Anthony, is from Philadelphia PA and I would love to surprise him with a wedding in front of his family and close friends back in his hometown and I am completely flexible on the date. I just want you to be a part of this amazing story...like my story book ending and I couldn't imagine anyone else doing this for me. He was absolutely crushed when this all happened as he knew how much I wanted a wedding and he wanted to give it to me. At this point, I do not want anything extravagant like I was originally planning, just something elegant and priceless that we can actually call a ceremony. A recommitment ceremony....I don't have a lot of money as I said we have 5 kids we are raising with very little help, but we do well for all we have endured.

I am a loyal fan and completely in love with you as a person and the amazing work you do. I love to see the way you completely transform your viewers dreams and make them magical. As well as the care and tenderness you put in to each recipient. Hoping you can help me in some way...but if not, I completely understand as there are so many fans to tend to. I just appreciate the fact you took time to read my email even if I never receive a response.

You are truly gifted and I really hope to hear from you. And if I don't, you are still my absolute favorite, fierce, feisty, amazing relief from my daily life. I'll keep on watching!

Thank you for that and Rock it!
Your biggest and loyal fan,
Misty
