Episode 3: Mandy and Mike
My third bride, Mandy, really threw me for a loop! She is so different
than any other bride I have worked with, so I had to get really
creative to pull off an event that showed off her personality--but in an
elegant way. After sitting with Mandy and her fiancé Mike, it was clear
that the look for their wedding had to be 'old Hollywood glamour with a
rock 'n roll twist.' It was certainly a challenge to translate Mandy and Mike's personalities into an elegant event, but the result was unforgettable and this was the biggest transformation yet. Tune in this Sunday to see how Mandy handles my wedding day takeover--it truly was a dream come true for this Hollywood starlet!
Mandy's wedding is a great example of one of the biggest wedding trends this year; "The Party Dress." So many brides dream of walking down the aisle and posing for formal pictures in a traditional wedding gown but want to feel lighter and sexier for their reception. Having a second, slinkier dress to change into for the reception is the perfect way to get the best of both worlds and is a great way to show off your personality!

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS EPISODE! Mandy has such sass and personality, she must be so much fun to hang out with! Love the fact she showed her true colors and let out a big ol' burp. Hysterical! I can't wait to see what David Tutera does to transform her and the wedding. It is going to be out of control

I had to sign just to let you know that I love what David did for you. Its funny, bc one of the dresses I tried on (the 3rd one), now reminds me of you. It would have looked gorgeous on you and it would have also been great for your theme, which by the way was perfect for you and Mike. Im so happy David kept your dress, and incorporated the wedding cake you wanted. It was so adorable.

This was by far one of the best . David is truely a master of his craft.The couple was great and the theme was one of a kind.As for the comment made by GETREAL!! I don't recall any of that covered in the show so maybe you should getreal for real and get a life .Maybe it's you that needs a drug test ,hold on they can do that when they take a sample from my boot after I pull it out of your sorry a--.

I loved your show it was great. Everything was perfect. I loved the fact that you sung to Mike on your wedding day that was really nice and the transformation overall was beautiful...Congratulations !!!!!!!
What kind of show IS THIS?
is it a clown show or what? i mean, the only episode that was more on the serious side was the South Beach Soire. Jennifers was ok, not much to it, and last nights episode??? OMG.. what was that about? from the moment it started i was like, 'this is going to be very intresting' and sure enough it was. Although the theme was perfect for the couple, I have to say, I was NOT impressed with the bride at all especially during the Ceremony. No matter what type of person you are, I think it should have been taken a bit more serious. The officiant could not get the words out, (maybe nervous with the cameras? who knows), and Mandy saying her vows?????????????? She really sounded like she was either high or drunk. And that photo shoot? lets NOT even go there. That was JUST A JOKE in iitself. And oh dear, the singing.... I was so embarrassed for her.
Mandy and Mike seem like very nice people, but I think there were OTHER BRIDES who may have been a bit more qualified for this show.
Im not sure what this show is about, transformation on brides or wedding. But I was not crazy about this episode. I think it was ok, not all that.
But I did like the dress you sang and modeled in.

Every bride has a vision of what their wedding should be, so not everyone is going like or have a favorable opinion on another persons idea.

You couldn't even pretend to look as fantasic as Mandy did on her wedding day! I'm sure the trailor park will look just dandy after it's decorated with Party Palace streamers & ballooons and you in your wedding dress from the bin at Wedding Discount City! Ugh!! Kudos to David for another fantabulous show. These girls' dream weddings are absolutely becoming a reality! In the last show Mandy sparkled like a diamond and looked so very happy to begin her life with Mike. Congratulations, they are a beautiful couple.
As for the third person's comment, what is he rambling on about? He is a negative, self hating, bitter pig farmer who can't be happy for another person but would rather share his low self esteem with the rest of the world. If he would pay more attention to the spelling and grammatical errors he may have less time for hate and jealousy! Education is a good thing, he should have completed school!

Great show, entertaining, possitive and just refreshing to see. Bridal tv shows have become boring with stuff that showcases negative drama and quite honestly, DIVA stuff doesn't appeal to me. I have lost interest in all of the bridal tv shows.. Your's on the other hand, I look forward to. Just wished it was on more often.

I'm just wondering if there will be any brides coming on the show who have NOT been living with the groom prior to the marriage. My daughter is getting married in July with the reception at the Ritz Carlton, all paid for by her father (still my husband after all these years!) and me. She & her fiance do not live together, even though they each have a condo which needs to be sold so that they can buy a house. It would be so much easier if she moved in with him and sold her condo and then bought their house. But they don't believe in living together before marriage. His parents appreciate this as much as we do. And in the pre-Cana instructions the Catholic Church says the couple is not to live together before marriage.
I'm very proud of them both.

I watched this episode last night and my heart melted, I would love for something like that to happen to me I want that kind of magic but I have no idea how to get it! My fiance and I watched it together and he wants to push our date back a year so we can have something as wonderful as that! I dont want to wait but he wont settle for anything less than he thinks I deserve, Im very lucky to have someone who wants nothing but the best for me!
Alright enough is enough! My name is Michael Little I am the groom, and this post is for GETREAL!! I want to put this to rest! AT LEAST 30 HOURS of filming was done! That was other then the wedding and the reception, another let's say 4 cameras 10 hours per, that is another 40 hours, all of this was then condensed into a 47 minute show! OUR family was filmed Getreal!!, I know you have an agenda, I know who you are. Amanda's mother, my mother, Amanda's sons, and my son were filmed. None of them, NONE of them made it to the final cut. You keep speaking of our family and pressing the issue that Amanda LITTLE my wife did not bring up her children, pick on me for a minute, the final cut did not have me speaking of my son! What is your problem? Would you like to have a more then less public dialog with me? I will be happy to either give you my emaill address or my phone number. If you notice your first comment was taken down by the webmaster at a request of our family. It was so off the wall you are the one who sounds as if you need to be drug tested!
As for the rest of you, I understand you are entitled to your opinions and I do respect that, but by coming on here and talking smack is highly inappropriate. What David, We Tv, and My Fair Wedding did for us was god send! They helped us and answered our prayers. Without them we still would have been married and we still would have been happy but they gave us something wonderful, these are people who do this thing for a living. I feel they would know best. bride2b72, you speak of our vows!!!???? Our friend stood in front of us on national tv and did his best, just as he did when we stood next to one another in combat! How dare you even question that? Get the words out? Why did you even leave a comment like that. Wow when I was told by certain people not to read the blog they were right. Knowing type this is most likely the only time I will address you as a human being.

I didn't realize I was going to have to read through such drama in these comments. I really just wanted to come on here and comment on how wonderfully you projected the couples personalities throughout their wedding.
1) The dresses were amazing and fit her to the tee. Definatly needed a party dress to match the scene.
2) LOVED the photoshoot for her and hope she felt like a movie star. The vintage feel they gave hung above the band was so authentic.
3) The ceremony decor was my ultimate favorite. I've never seen such an aisle. Especially the pink uplighting in each archway!
4) The centerpiece lamps mixed with floral high pieces and feather boa drapes. Adorable!
5) Can I say how happy I was to see a spider somewhere? LOL I love how her cake came out but was hoping it would show up knowing she loved them so much.
6) I like that she compromised for the airbrushing for the ceremony. Totally matched the classy look you were going for.
7) Finally the overall feel that resembled exactly what the couple was like===AMAZING!
PS- Kudos to her for getting up on stage and singing her heart out to her hubby. oh-so-fab!

Regardless of how you feel about the couple or their "class" (which I seriously find amusing, people commenting on the class of people from the anonymity of a chat room), you cannot deny that David Tutera is one of the finest planners out there. He is able to take someone's tastes, even if contrary to his own, and find a way to make them work in a fabulous way - in ways that I bet the couples couldn't even imagine. Granted, I would give my eyeteeth to work on an event with the amount of money he has to play with - but it still takes someone with a real sense of not only style but also respect for the individuality of their clients to pull it off. I love that she got to feel like a starlet; that she got her spider; even that David arranged to have her tattoos show for the reception (although I personally thought the tattoos detracted from the look - but that wasn't what mattered, her tattoos were important to her). Kudos, Mr. Tutera - if you are ever doing an event in Michigan, I would love to be a flunkie for you, for free, just to have the opportunity to work on a platinum level wedding and to see a true master at work!
I love this show... I am a mother of a bride and want to give my daughter the day that will carrying her in the future with the best of memories.. I liked the MAndy and Mike episode becuause David seamed to "get" who she was and helped her with a reception that was reflective of her.. I loved the floweres.

Hello I just watched this episode the other day, and i was wondering where the bridesmaids got thier black and white dresses, i'm getting married in sept. and would like to buy the same or a simalar dress for my bridesmaids.
What was the title/artist of the song Mandy walked down the aisle to? I'm planning a very casual yet tastful biker wedding this summer and am looking for something fun and different to walk to....Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Blues, Rockabilly ....hard to find something appropriate and fun at the same time.
