What struck me the most about Seria when we first met was how naturally gorgeous and graceful she was; and she didn't even know it! To inspire her inner beauty I took Seria across Manhattan to some of the finest places in the city from the Plaza Hotel to La Petite Coquette, one of New York's premiere lingerie boutiques.
Changing over the décor for Seria's wedding posed a different challenge than the others in that the locations she had chosen for her ceremony and reception had special meaning to her and she didn't want them changed. Without changing the venue I had to be extra creative in order to turn Seria and Raheim's wedding into the paradise she had always dreamed about; one that is stylish, glamorous and includes her signature color, of course!
Seria's wedding showcases one of the most common mistakes brides make after selecting a theme or color scheme: going overboard! Seria's favorite color is turquoise which is a beautiful color, but for a wedding such a bright shade is best used in moderation. Despite obstacles like plastic flowers, a cramped venue and some explicit undergarments--Seria's wedding was an amazing event.
One of my favorite things about Seria's wedding was her music choices for the processional and recessional of the ceremony. Using instrumental versions of more popular songs is a fun way to put your personality into one of the more traditional aspects of a wedding. The result was so moving you will not want to miss it. Tune in to see Seria's incredible transformation and how I was able to makeover a Brooklyn event hall into a stylish wedding that everyone will remember!

Hi I live in Canada and was wondering if David was likely to want to do a show here.I`m David`s biggest fan. I love his show and his vision of weddings.I am 21 years old, I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter , and me and my boyfried want to get married but we don`t really know what to do to have a unforgettable wedding. If you can help me David I will be forever thankful. Thank you
I am getting married in Sept 2009 and we are in desperate need of David's help. I am trying to see how to contact the actuall shows to see if I can get some advice, tips, or even to be on the show. Can you help me. Please.
I saw the night gown from this episode and i believe they said it was a Jane Woolridge and i have looked all over and i can not find that one can you PLEASE tell me how i can contact the maker of that nightgown so i can purchase one
This was my first me watching this show and I was about 20 minutes into it and I was already upset for the bride. I can understand changing some details of her wedding, but the entire thing?? It's a day for her and her husband, something they share together and is special to them why can't she have anything personalized?
What upset me the most was David picking the bride's dress AND the bridesmaids dress and not letting Seria see even her own dress until the day of the wedding?? That is a little extreme. It's bad enough there are plenty of nerves before the wedding, but that is just crazy. I can understand maybe changing her dress, but why can't both her and David agree on a dress so she can at least know ONE thing she picked is her own choice.
I guess this show is about letting this guy David pick things HE thinks are appropriate for YOUR wedding. I hope in that case , he and the show are paying for it. So, if you don't have a lot of money, go on this show and let this "wedding planner" take over your whole wedding.
Seria is such a sweetheart and she is so adorable that I am happy she was able to have her beautiful personality incorporated into her wedding day.
I love how thoughtful David is on this episode. David is too cute and I adore him in this show. I wish him much success!!!!!!!!!!
First things first: Congratulations to Seria and Raheem from a fellow Brooklyn bride.
Her wedding reception was held at the same event hall that mine will be held at next April.
It's not everyday that Brooklyn gets to be in the spotlight. But, we got our 15 minutes and it was soooo good to see what David did with the room. My reception will be in a different room (right across the hall). So, seeing Seria's wedding really gave a few ideas and reassures me that all is not lost.
Congratulations to the Bride and Groom! You both looked wonderful. I must say the room was decorated beautifully, special attention must be given to the florist, they did exquisite work! Who was the florist that did the bridal flowers? I just loved the bouquets and would love to recommend them to a friend that is getting married in the spring.
I was watching this episode and was very surprised when david said there were no such thing as blue roses!!! There is a rose named Blue Girl andI have it growing in my rose garden.
I do agree that plastic is never the thingto use but a high grade of silk should be acceptable.
Other than that I think David has done a great job with the wedding changes in all the episodes!
Please let me know where I can get the negligee she chose!! It would also be helpful if you posted some of the providers contact information on the website so we can contact them for similar services. Thank you!
I LOVE this show! I am from Brooklyn NY so it was good to see a fellow Brooklynite have her wedding transformed! Congratulations to you Seria and Raheem. You both looked SO happy and so beautiful!
I am getting married next August, but in Vegas, and Dave... If you are so inclined to do a show in Vegas, PLEASE let me know!
I think many of us have great ideas, just not the money to really turn our visions into reality. I am familiar with Glen Terrace and unfortunately it looks similar to many of the reception halls around new york. I was stunned at the transformation of that room! Stunned! David's work and taste is impeccable, AND he is SO big hearted and really cares about his brides and it's beautiful to see. I shed a few tears every weekend while I watch this show because I can only imagine how those brides feel when they see heir rooms, dresses, etc...
I love the fact that he still sees whats in the brides heart and you have never had a disappointed bride. I wish my husband and i has a better wedding, we got married @ home cause its what we could afford. Someone PLEASE TELL ME where i can find THE GOWN that Seria was given in this episode. I REALLY WANT IT!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!
The designer of the lingerie is Jane Woolrich. I found a picture of the gown on her website, but could not locate the name or number of the gown. She does not sell from her website but does lists stores that carry her merchandise. I checked all the ones that had websites but could not find any of her collection at any of the stores. Here is her website: http://www.jane-woolrich.co.uk/default.asp
ntramonte,
Thank you for your kind words about the show, we have had so many amazing vendors participate. Without them these dream weddings would never be possible. The flower bouquets for Seria and her bridesmaids were all done by Flower Barn located on Long Island. They were absolutely stunning and the girls loved them.
bri2,
Seria looked absolutely stunning in every gown she tried on, it was such a tough decision! In the end the gown she received was from Amsale, www.amsale.com
I think it was great that she wore the gown that she & her mother picked out together (and her mother bought for her) for the ceremony. I know it would probably have hurt her mother if she hadn't. She showed a great deal of love & respect for her mother. And the reception decor was absolutely beautiful. Who knew you could get blue chairs?
I am getting married next year and would like to know where David took her to get her dress as well as the brides maids dress. a response would be appreciated.
David, you rock! I like the way you make your revisions while considering the personality of the couple. You're a great teacher, very thoughtful, and generous. There are many of us who appreciate your talents. Keep up the great job!!!
Hello David, Yesterday was my first time watching your show. It was the one with Seira. I'm in a wedding in april and Iwas ask to help with the dress. I really love the bridesmaid dresses that you chose for Seira. Can you please tell me where I can find it or something similar. Thanks
David I love your show every time I see your show I cry because me and my husband got married while he was in prison and I always wanted a wedding but cannot afford the weddings that you show but I have always wanted to be a princess and that's what Sara means I just had to tell you keep on making peoples dreams come true GOD BLESS YOU
Seria made such a beautiful bride and I loved what David did to transform her wedding! Who knew that turquoise could be such a luxurious and rich color? GREAT JOB
Hi David, My Fair Wedding is my new favorite show. You do fabulous jobs with the weddings. Can you please tell me the name of the champage that you had at Seria and Raheim's wedding reception. I remember what the bottle looks like, a pink funky shape, but I can't remeber the name of it. Thanks
CONGRATS TO THE BRIDE AND GROOM. I WISH YOU HAPPINESS AND HEALTH.
Hi David first of all i love watching your show. Actually i am getting married in august 22th 2009 and i was wondering if i can please be a part of your show because i think i need a lot of advice from you Dave..I live in brooklyn and if its impossible for you to do so, i will still keep watching your show so i can get more tips on how to prepare for my wedding...Thanks a lot you are doing a great job..keep your head UP!!!

I love whatyou did for Seria wedding. When I first saw the color of her bridesmaids dress, I felt it was very loud. Then at the reception and seeing everything put together it was vr beautiful.
My only question for you will be
What about a bride on a budget how can they make their day FAB? I mean I love the show but at time,I thought you will be working on the same budget as the bride. It is like you are giving them a free wedding. I know you can't belive everything you see on TV, but do the brides no a head of time that you are going to be changing things?
First and foremost, Congrats to the Seria & Raheim. May you have a long and happy life together as one.
I have just started watching 'My Fair Wedding' when your episode aired on November 16, 2008. This was the first wedding anything that my fiance' actually wacthed with me, and he loved it. He has became more involved with the decission making. Thank YOU, because the planning was beginning to get a little overwhelming for me. I would be so greatful if Mr. Tutera could assist us just as he did for you.
May God bless you and Mr. Tutera.

I started watching My Fair Wedding from the first. The dresses, cakes, designs, are beyond imangination. David I think that you have a magical touch with every bride you come in contact with. This last one, Seria and Raheim was my favorite. When you included the dress into her wedding so not to upset her mother, made me cry. I have only my mother left and could imagine how Seria would feel torn. The lingerie you chose was beautiful. I went to the site and looked at it, the price and my medium size body dashed any dream of ever owning anything like it. But I will say I love your show, I love the dreams you make come true. As long as you continue to host it, I will be your #1 fan. Love your work, your heart and your compassion.
Hi! I'm also using the color blue, it's called pool and I'm using a yellow called canary. I'm having trouble with the flowers. I was wondering if you could give me some ideas of what you would use. Thanks!
Hi David, I would like to thank you and everyone else who created this show. Since the beginning I love this show because it allows me to imagine the wedding I dreamed of but never had. I have been with my spouse for 34yrs of which 21yrs are married. We got married at city hall and so you see why my imagination runs wild. I also love seeing the smiles and happiness of the young couples when they see your creations for the ceremony and reception. GREAT JOB and continue making young couples HAPPY...:)
I am a 26 year old mother of 4 3 girls and a boy I have been with my kids fatrher now for 5 years we are getting married and just wanted a little help with picking and planning this speacial event I dint get to attend my prom and niether did he because of our family's had other children they had to make sure were taken care of at that time and was praying for the time of our lives with our love being a wedding that one will never forget
Congrats to the beautiful couple. I understand the emotional attachment to the first wedding dress but it wasn't pretty at all nor did if flatter such a beautiful bride the way the second dress did.
Overall David did an amazing job on this wedding and it looked lovely.
Hay David my fience turned me on to the show i absolutely love what you do your kind of like the chip foose of weddings any how i thought that it would be awsome we are trying to plan a wedding for 08/29/09 and as much as you probably dont believe it karen (my fience) thinks we are behind schedule and of course i think we are right on schedule any way i thought it would be awsome if we could get in contact with each other and maby surprise her with one of your fabulous weddings if there is any way my contact info is citizenkane145@yahoo.com if you could contact me either way i would greatly appreciate it
Thanks,

I think you have an excellent eye for design with a platinum sense of style. I love watching the show to see all of your creative ideas.
However.
Not every bride has a platinum budget to create the concepts in which you come up with, so I think what's missing is you need to embrace that it's ok to imitate without selling the house. I wish your show had more of a focus in working with the budget in which these brides actually have, this would then show the world how truly creative you are.
After watching a few episodes of your show, I truly felt sad for the brides when you knocked their visions.
I never blog, but I HAD to come on and find out more about David Tutera. In response to "Nae 78", David Tutera is helping these brides realize thier dreams by bringing thier visions to full potential. He is also sensitive to the feelings and personalities of each girl & they are ecstatic to see what David's created. They end up with a dream of a wedding that they would've otherwise never had. I applaud you David... amazing.
My question is, Where can I get those glass floral display cases that I see on the tables. I've seen them on your personal website also. Is that something that we can get a hold of?
This show was my favorite. The bride was very graceful and he treated her like the princess she was. David takes a wedding and brings it to a level that the bride could not attain herself, or probably afford. He never steers the brides the wrong way. In this situation, he did see that it meant a lot to the bride that she wear the dress she and her mother bought. I love, love, love him.
You are so sweet and kind! Thank you so very much! The part of the job that means the most to me is the actual listening of what each bride dreams of for her wedding. My job is to find a way to make it all come true--this is her wedding, not mine, so bringing it to life for them is what is so special.
The clear containers actually are not glass, but they are made of Lucite/plastic. I had them custom made for my designs, but you can find something similar at retailers like The Container Store. They are cubes with one open side, so make sure they are not fully sealed closed. Have fun!!! -- David
Hi David, I watched your show for the first time last night (3/16/09-I know it was probably a rerun) but that was one of the best wedding show I have seen. I loved your ideas. I just wanted to ask a question. My sisters and I are giving my mom her first birthday party (70 years young - and party is A Black and Silver Formal Affair) and the venue that we have is not the best place but my sister already put a deposit so we have to keep it. Can you give me tips on how we can decorate it to look elegant. I know you do weddings, but I thought maybe I can still use it for the party. Once again I just wanted to let you know that you did a wonderful job on Seria's wedding. I loved the way you put those curtains up.

Where do I start... I have been following the new season and I'm absolutely in LOVE! I was engaged to be married and unfortunately I didn't make it down the aisle...but when I look at all that you do...lol.. I would have been missing so many key elements in my wedding. Since I've started watching your show it has inspired me to want to become a wedding planner. Although, I have not yet started in my new adventure you make it look like it's all worth it. My favorite bride by far was Seira. She was full of life, fun, open to everything, and just a refreshing soul to watch. I DVR every episode and watch them and cry like its the very first time. You're amazing at what you do hands down! From colors, to fabrics, intricate details, FLORAL arrangements.. I could go on but you FAB and I hope you around the day I really say I do. Thank you for having such a wonderful show, you're definitely a pleasure to watch

Found the gown on this website for sale, each gown is handmade so expect a 4-6 week wait before delivery...

The gown number on this website is 3173, I am thinking it would be the same for all suppliers.

Hi David,
I think you have an excellent eye for design with a platinum sense of style.
Hi carrie757 --
You are so sweet and kind!

Thank you for having such a wonderful show, you're definitely a pleasure to watch
this show made me laugh so much. I am not sure what she was doing. It was just so crazy. inexpensive wedding ideas |
