My sixth and final bride, Bayyina, was an absolute joy to work with and we got along immediately. She is so much fun, full of life and is always willing to go to the extreme to look fabulous. All that was missing was an over-the-top, fabulous wedding to celebrate this wonderful couple.
When I sat down with Bayyina for the first time she mentioned that she wanted a royal and majestic feel to her wedding but everything she showed me was extremely lack luster. From tangerine and watermelon bridesmaid dresses to a reception venue she selected online, most of it had to go. For such a fun and theatrical person, her event was lacking the drama!
I wanted Bayyina to feel so special on her wedding day I decide to create an event reminiscent of a royal ball--a wedding fit for a queen! I knew it was going to be a real struggle to keep some of the things Bayyina had labored over for months but, in the end, it was my decision and the end result was spectacular. We changed the venues, the flowers, the dress and so much more. For a sense of added drama we brought up Nova Era, all the way from Florida, to entertain guests and get everyone into the majestic spirit.
As the last episode of the season I really wanted to go out with a bang--mission accomplished! Bayyina and Dawan's wedding is an unforgettable event that was over the top in every way. Don't miss the finale episode and a chance to see a reception fit for Marie Antoinette herself!
I just wanted to say I'm not really into weddings and all that stuff. But my sister, who is really into weddings has me hooked after I saw an episode at her house. I love this show! I think the way that David transforms weddings and go so far to help the brides from the smallest thing to the largest issue is superb. Keep up the good work and I wish David all the best with much more success.
What a beautiful, beautiful wedding. David, Bayyina and Dawan's Royal Wedding is my FAVORITE one so far! You are so gracious to the brides and helpful. You know when to be nice and hold off on what you're thinking with all the brides. I wish you all the best! You have such a talent for what you do!

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the show last night. And to my surprise, I know the bride Bayyina. Girl if you are reading these blogs you looked beautiful it's been 11 years since we've seen each other (You were at my Baby Shower @ Jason's mother's house ENY). I'm glad you have found true happiness and true love. May you and your new husband have love, peace and much happiness in your near future.
Very good finale!!! David, you are so detail oriented and on top of proper etiquette that I can't believe you missed on small item - "When Bayyina raised her arm you could see the white residue of deodorant or body powder!! That is so important and you are sooo good at pinpointing every detail that I couldn't believe you missed that - or you know, that's a personal thing you probably would think didn't need mentioning. All in all you are excellent and there's so much I've learned just watching the show - there's an abundance amount of etiquette education for the young and the old, married, unmarried, single, etc. Thank you so much and you have a winner!!!
David, David, David, fantastic. Bayyina and Dawan's wedding is my favorite. You did a great job. I was surprised when I saw you in front of the Venu......... the Starlight...... , I went to a wedding there 3 years ago.........lol and my girlfriend has rented it for her daughters Sweet 16. I was looking into it my self.......for my daughters Sweet 16. I must say Bayyina is a lovely young lady and it seems to run in the family...... I just LOVE the out come of the show........ you always do a great or shall I say FANTASTIC job.......... If i ever get married again, cause I am a widow now, I would LOVE you, to help me out.. your the BEST...... and congrats to the all the couples ..... god bless..........
My name is Nathalie Sanon and I am 22 years old and I've been in a relationship with my Boyfriend for 4 years. My boyfriend is 25 years old and a Navy Veteran. We plan on getting married soon and would love to know how we could get on the show. I think that David did a wonderful job on Bayyina's wedding.
I am so sad that this was your last episode! I cannot wait for you to come back for a new season! All the brides were amazingly gracious and sincere and I learned almost as much as they did. I can't wait to plan a wedding of my own...but I'll focus on finding Mr. Man first! Ha ha ha!
Hi David. I know you're a busy man. I love your show. I was just wondering when will My Fair wedding will be having their next casting for new episodes. My fiancee and I just finish watching the episodes with Bayyina and Dawan then he suggest that i find out how to get on the show. With Bayyina and darwan wedding I felt like i travel back in time into the 16th century. I'm from Miami but we purchase a home this summer in Cape Coral, Fl. Our big day is schedule to take place in Miami in April 2009. Our parents are from the island of Haiti but my fiancee was born and raise in the Bahamas plus we would like to plan a wedding no one have ever seen before. My idea is similar to the one Bayyina had for her wedding that you help modified into the time of King Arthur court. If My Fair Wedding is not having casting call for new episodes. Also I would like to know if you any salon in Miami like the one you took Bayyina for her wedding makeover her hair and make up was amazing i really enjoy that Culter team work their magic . Absolutely wonderful! What suggest do you have for me and my fiancee. Thank you. Hope to here from you. E-mail: ladyluck_14@hotmail.com
Hi David,
I didn't know that Bayyina's wedding was your last show (I hope for the season). I will miss seeing you each sunday evening and look forward to seeing much more of you in the near future. I think you are the best and a perfect fit for a wedding planner. What I admire most about you is the comfort with which you execute each wedding design and the way you make each bride feel comfortable and confident no matter her personality. The best part of it all is that you are so very genuine, no acting for the camera. I just love you for that. You kinda remind me of myself. I am a wedding planner/designer too, and I enjoy working with the brides so very much. I am no where near your level though, but I hope to be someday with God's help.
David, I would like some advice from you if you will. I am planning on doing a bridal show early next year to promote my business and would love for you to give me some ideas for the show. Is that something you could do? I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks
I DONT need help because there are very few options for me. Its kind of a have to go with area. I want it in the area so not really any thing here. smalltown if you kno what i mean. maybe small but that doesnt mean u cant go BIG, we guest list is exceeding 400. every wedding around here is always the same old thing basically. any ideas for me! wedding is may 2nd. well anyway CONGRATS i love all the brides. best wishes. xoxo
I would like to say that i had my wedding in June '07 at Starlite Pavillion in Queens, NY and it was a disaster. The owner is "Pastor" Matthew Singh and he is a thief and con man. He took my money and did not give me what I paid for and has not refunded any money. First, there were no appetizers for the guest. MY GUEST had to set up the hall, the food was cold and the BBQ chicken was uncooked. The bartender sold my liquor to my guest!! there were apparently 6 invisible waiters for 350 guest. in the so called "bridal suit" were 8 hugh boxes stacked to the ceiling, rolled up carpet blocked the walk way. The manager wore a T-shirt to the wedding and we were not given the extra hour we were promised. the Manager said "if we knew we had to work an extra hour we would not come in to work". the entire reception was a DISASTER BECAUSE STARLITE PAVILLION DID NOT EXECUTE THE PLANS. they lost my 1/3 of my place cards and i did not get the 350 seats i paid for. so i just wanted to let people know how STARLITE PAVILLION do business. the owner is a rip off, thief and liar. Obviously, it was my fault for picking that dump but the sale pitch was executed well by the liar Matthew Singh. as the wedding grew closer, his services became less and i realize it was not a good choice but it was too late to find another location. so anyone thinking of going there PLEASE DO NOT RENT STARLITE PAVILION IN RICHMOND HILL, NEW YORK.
Please help me I am trying to plan a wedding for 275 people, by me self I have three children. Me and my future husban both work full time and, he does not know anything about our wedding he has left it all up to me. My best friend and the god mother of my children has been helping me the hole step of the way, she has taken a new job as a manger and does not have the time to help me. I have a very small buget, I have bought so much items and still so much more to get that i have know idea what i am doing. Please help me I am going crazy and still have 6 months until the wedding, I realy could use your help from the bottem of my heart PLEASE HELP
Let me begin by saying that I absolutely love your show!! It is very insightful and shows your that very active imagination of yours when it comes to weddings! I really loved this last episode because I love the fact that I am not the only bride who has wanted or wants to have this type of theme. I love history with a passion and I love how they dressed in those days.
Which brings me to this Dilema that I am stressing about; The theme of my wedding which is November 28, 2009. I like a Victorian theme, Asian Theme and a Garden Party style theme. I like all three but I am trying to figure out how each one would tie into the outdoor ceremony. Finding the right Ceremony location is very stressing but that's to be expected, right? Well, any help, advice and or information will be greatly apreciated! Ofcourse, I understand you are a busy man. Thanks in advance.
david me and my fiance have been together for a year and we really need your help we live in mannford oklahoma and we could really use you thank you very much
I am not married nor do I have a potential prospect, however when I do U will be the first person I contact whenever I make the date. I SOOOooooo love YOU and your show. I am not a wedding fanatic, but U David my friend just take the cake wiht your tips and forward thinking. U turn drab and mundane ideas and turn them into fabulous and glam. I love U (you're oh so HOT). I like your vision and forward thinking. And, your show is just the greatest. Please please promise to never leave WEtv as you can tell your prescences is desperately needed.
I loved this episode. Bayyina is lovely and vivid, and the rapport she and David had was fun to watch. The wedding was a stunner - a real once-in-a-lifetime dream event.
David's manner and approach really make this series. The way he interacts with the couples makes this show a standout from the barrage of wedding related shows on WE and others. He listens - really listens - with genuine interest and empathy. He gets a strong sense of who they as they see themselves, and through that, an understanding of what they really want. He does it all with an open mind. Every step of the way, he's asking how the brides feel about the options he's providing them with, and he's focusing on how they feel.
Along with his innovative style, one of the most compelling aspects of the show lies in with the fact that David doesn't treat any of it as though it's all about him - rather he keeps the focus on the couple, what they want, and innovative ways of interpreting their vision using resources they could not have imagined.
I love this show. Over the years, I've ducked out of a lot of lavish weddings and sought refuge in hotel lobbies, coffee shops or other out-of-the-way places. Those weddings were really not enjoyable, just expensive and sometimes overwhelming. By contrast, David creates a multi-faceted, enchanting moment in time that just has to be experienced. It's a shimmering, golden instant where the possibilities just surround you, and they are all endlessly beautiful. The kind of event where you find yourself living in the moment, experiencing everything, and drinking it all in. What he creates is resonant, and it's such a pleasure to watch.
The show succeeds on David's personality, manner and extraordinary creative vision. Definitely a winner.

Finding Mr. Right is of course important, but planning, imagining and thinking of your bid day is fun--so keep dreaming of that special day. We begin filming season two in just a few weeks, and it will be airing at the end of August so keep your eyes and ears open! I love this show and love working with my brides on “My Fair Wedding!!” -- David
How do you nominate someone for the Wedding intervention? I have a cousin who desperately needs you. She is making flower rings out of coffee can tops. She works but, only at a minimun wage and then the future husband, he does work it, only part time, but not he is not working because he can not find a job. They have been together for over two years and are very in love. They are getting married first weekend in April. If there is anything you can do please help. Thank you
I have to say that this episode was a bit much for me..I was totally not feeling the whole costume getup..David is a genius with his work, but this wedding was a bit silly to me. The place she picked out originally spoke volumes about them...and the costume change went right along with that place..I've seen better..Sorry.
I have been happily married for 4 yrs to the most wonderful man the Lord could have ever sent to me. We did not have the wedding we wanted, nor have we had a honeymoon. We went to the JP, then I flew back to Phila and my husband back to his duty station, he has since retired from 23 yrs of service. Our dream is to finally have the wedding we have wanted and to share that day w/family and friends.
The episode w/Bayyina was absoutely beautiful. She was so genuinly appreciative of all you had done for her and had no problem accepting your ideas and changes.
Should you ever consider helping my husband and I to have our dream wedding we would appreciate it. Any suggestions would be a great help too.
I would also be interested in being on the show. So if anyone has any information on how to get on or where the casting will be held then i would love to know! thanks.
Dear David, You are fabulous. Bayyina' wedding made me cry with love in my heart for you, Bayyina and her family. You put on a truly platinum wedding. God bless you always.
I would very much like the menu for the reception, especially the appitizer, which appeared to be a shrimp or lobster cocktail. Please rush answer, Thanks, beetalulu
