My second bride, Nicole, had a great disposition and spirit that went right along with the theme she wanted: a Jamaican celebration with Caribbean flair! And...she wanted it centered around her favorite color--a vibrant, royal purple that matched her vibrant personality. Nicole presented me with a pretty weighty challenge: In the end, she needed her wedding--purple or no purple, in the tropics or in the city--to simply be worthy of her highest accolade: "Fab!"
With those standards, I had to start making some serious changes. As much as I love that purple, there is such thing as "too much" of a good thing! I thought the color was perfectly suited for Nicole's personality and I did want her to keep it, but my revision would help her incorporate it in ways that would bring class and style to her wedding. Most importantly, with that show-stopping of a color, I needed to make sure she would be the main focus of her wedding surroundings. After all--she was my bride! And she needed to be "fab!"
Nicole knew what she liked and was a great help at determining what was (and wasn't) up to par. After some dramatic overhauls, the addition of some serious sparkle and a couple major upgrades that were up my sleeve, she was well on her way from drab to fab!
Last but definitely not least, Nicole joined me on a special "sweet" surprise trip you won't see footage of anywhere else! Stay tuned for a truly "cool" behind-the-scenes trip that made Nicole's wedding (and all the details in it) one-of-a-kind.
Nicole learned the true meaning of "don't worry, be happy" when things started to change in her favor to achieve a Jamaican-inspired wedding that was nothing short of Caribbean paradise. This Sunday, watch Nicole's "fab" and fun wedding oasis in chic New York City, and you'll see everything that can tie together with a little planning and a bit of island magic.

I just finished watching the show with Nicole. That young woman was the sweetest. What you did for her brought tears to my eyes. You gave her a dream come true, one I am sure she richly deserves. I am in the jewelry business and it would seem that at times once a lady gets engaged she all of a sudden knows it all. Nicole knew what she liked but allowed you to open the door for her to see herself in a different light. One where she just glowed. What a beautiful job you did.
Nicole has a gift. She was so precise when creating the flavors for the gelato. She is so lovely.
She was beautilful. Oh I just love your show. I do not watch television, but I check the schedule to make sure that I do not miss it.
The dress, the bride and the reception decorations in purple, oh my.
God bless your program. It is so wonderful to see love celebrated in such a elagant fashion. and David you are such a blessing.
Thank you for loving what you do and for selecting women from all cultures. Last week the DIamond theme was wonderful.
I am trying to find some of your resources.
The custom runner?
I pray that my daughter coulb be selected by you and your show.
Thank you
Renee, Mother of the bride, for February 14, 2009
Nichole you are one of my favorite brides. I love seeing a bride that is curvacious and with Beautiful legs! Your legs would make Tina Turner envious! Keep flaunting them!
You are GEORGOUS and your hubby is a very lucky man.
Love each other.. each and every day.
GOD Bless You Both,
Rebecca in California
I really loved dress number 4 Nicole tried on. It was her least favorite, but I thought it was just spectacular! I would love more information (designer, etc) on it if possible. Thanks!!
Hi David, This weeks show rocked...love every single one of your shows, you are amazing. I am in the process of planning my wedding and loved the white diamond theme of Caroline and robs wedding, My wedding is also a white theme and i was wondering where i can get the diamond shaped crystal place cards you used for their wedding. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi David! I TRULY love your show. Just wanted to say once again your creativity and attention to detail left me speechless and to top it off I saw my church Christian Cultural Center (same as Nicole's and the pastor that will also marry us in 2010), I was screaming and jumping for joy. Nicole looked fabulous and LOVED the way you sensed she was not truly happy with her original dress and brought her vision to great heights. You are truly a bless and talented man. Thank you for making Sunday nights MUST SEE TV on WE. Can't wait til next week!!! Any openings for brides July 2010? LOL.. am really serious
i loved the show and the bride nicole was fabulous.
im planning my wedding now and didnt realize how emotional it was to watch some one have their dream wedding, the things you do to make a bride feel so special was just amazing. i always make sure i watch and see what other ideas you come up with and just love it. i wish you the best and keep them shows coming.
Hello David. I started watching your show in hopes of getting ideas to help my daughter plan her wedding for next year. It has been a pleasure watching the show, and I wish you much success. I was so touched after watching this last show about Nicole, I had to add to the previous accolades you received and deserve. Although all of the shows were beautiful, this show by far was the best. It went beyond how beautiful everything turned out, it was your presentation that really brought everything to life. I must admit, I was extremely skeptical whether or not you would be able to pull this wedding off. You went above and beyond. Not only did you get Nicole to think outside of the box, you stepped outside of the box, and walked into this amazing work of art. You brought tears to my eyes. Every week I record the show because I do not want to miss anything. I hit the rewind, and slow motion button for anything I am not clear on, or do not hear clearly. This week you explained everything, and the camera shots stayed on the dress, table etc., long enough so that I was able to get a good look. You pronounced the name of the vendors very clearly. Although I hit the rewind button several times last week, I could not make out the company name of the lady who advertised the large crystal. I look up the addresses of any vendors, I do not see on the show. Example: Earlier this year I called several stores in order to find some dresses from your previous show. I explained to the representatives, that I saw the dresses on your show. I was very successful finding the dresses. I love this show, I love your work, and I hope to meet you one day. I wish you all the best.
I saw this episode. It was awesome how you were able to bring Jamaica to the couple. I day dream a lot of what it would be like to have you come and do that for me in December and what it would look like. You're a great person and you're so wonderful to the brides. Thanks for changing peoples' lives and making their dreams come true. So many people are happier because of you and that's awesome. Maybe you'll want to make a middle class music teacher from Texas happier....one can only dream...it's the only thing that's free and it never runs out.
You make me wish that I could get married again! You do a great job with all of the benefits of a big city like New York, what could you do if you came to a small town in Iowa? I wish your site had access to the entire episode, there are a couple that I'd like to share with my daughter a future Iowa bride. Specifically I'd like to see pics of the wedding gowns; florals and the brides maid dresses in the jamacian eppisode. I enjoyed a delightful afternoon watching about 4 or 5 episodes! Thank you! By the way, I love that you use everyday people in your show and not just the rich and beautiful that you see so often on tv!
Hello David,
I have been meaning to top by your page and check out all the great things I've been missing, and so here I am!
I wanted to say that with all of your brides that you've kind of guided in the right direction to chic, fab, amazing wedding visions, you've done such a great job!
Although, I'm sure you already know that...
I was wondering if there was any way I could get your help? I am planning a destination wedding to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The only problem is that with the recession our budget went from descent to very tight. My wedding colors are more COLORS than a color. I let my fiance pick the main color of deep satin purple, and i love tiffany blue so we put them together with bright orange and yellow. We have booked a sunset wedding @ 4 pm so I imagine the colors popping really well against the water, sand and sunset. Where the problem comes in is that we have eliminated having a reception back home in Michigan due to the budget issue. but we do not forsee financial assistance from anyone other than ourselves, and still have to purchase guest favors and gift bags for their stay.
How do i make a destination disaster into our destination dream?
I need your help!!
I really liked the second wedding gown that Nicole tried on, the chiffon dress. Is it possible to get gown information (designer, picture etc)? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello David, I'm guilty of being like the rest!! I LOVED NICOLE's Gown!! Who's the maker and where do I find a reputable salon? Most of the more exclusive shops here in NC are leaving brides w/o dresses and going bankrupt! But at the same time I don't want my daughter in an off the rack syndrome either. I'm originally from NJ so I don't mind traveling to get what she wants. Her wedding is October 2010 please help! Thank you in advance. Mz Que
I absolutely love "My Fair Wedding" and I especially liked the Nicole's & Ted's wedding. The bride was so kind and appreciative of David's help. When she loved something, she put her hand on her hips. I thought it was great how she learned not to settle for the original dress. The reception dress was gorgeous. I really liked the style! David, you are so kind to the brides. You are truly a blessing and I know you approach the brides from a place of caring, compassion. You are truly gifted and the brides are blessed to have your guidance and fantastic ideas. After seeing that gelato, I am hungry! Yummy!!!
Where do I start... I have been following the new season and I'm absolutely in LOVE! I was engaged to be married and unfortunately I didn't make it down the aisle...but when I look at all that you do...lol.. I would have been missing so many key elements in my wedding. Since I've started watching your show it has inspired me to want to become a wedding planner. Although, I have not yet started in my new adventure you make it look like it's all worth it. My favorite bride by far was Seira. She was full of life, fun, open to everything, and just a refreshing soul to watch. I DVR every episode and watch them and cry like its the very first time. You're amazing at what you do hands down! From colors, to fabrics, intricate details, FLORAL arrangements.. I could go on but you FAB and I hope you around the day I really say I do. Thank you for having such a wonderful show, you're definitely a pleasure to watch.
I noticed that when you were showing Nicole different types of trim for her bridemaids dresses. I was wondering the name of the trim store you were in?
First of all, thanks for watching our wedding! It was truly an unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
But seriously, of all the fabulous elements in our wedding you pick my elbows as a topic of discussion?! Who does that? Really?! I really hope that you pay that much attention to detail in matters pertaining to your own life and or body parts.
While I understand everyone, has a right to an opinion, I also know there are some comments that truly should be left unsaid or left in the privacy of your own thoughts
I love this show and especially loved Nicole's wedding. When Nicole was trying on the wedding gowns, I completely fell in love with dress number 2 for ME! I searched long and hard for it and found it in the James Clifford collection (for all those inquiring above). Its not a cheap gown but WOW it's worth every penny and I can't wait to try it on! Nicole you were stunning in your dress and looked amazing through out!
My only wish is for David to take his show on the road and come to Chicago! ;-) I'd love to have David help me!!
@Chicago Lewis -- Thanks for digging that second dress out! I've been meaning to answer the questions above! I loved loved loved the second one too...it is definitely a great style. Sophisticated and modern. Wear it for me! Enjoy! Best wishes on your upcoming nuptials!
Hey Nicole! I'll let you know as soon as I try it on! I forgot to mention the dress (#2) cannot be found in the James Clifford current collection but it can be found on other bridal websites that still carry it. The dress is style J1808. I can't wait! :-)
does anyone know the designer and style number for the first dress? i am so in love with that dress, it is sad. i even went to RK Bridal, the same shop David took Nicole, and they were unable to help me. PLEASE someone help me! i loved that dress.
and nicole, you looked positively gorgeous. it was the best episode.
@elbarrio97, I'm sorry you're having a hard time finding that first dress. Ugh!! And I didn't even write down the names. It's a great dress, it felt so light and airy and still fabulous. I'll see if maybe I can call RK Bridal. I watched it again and the man that helped us (I think he is the owner) his name was Reid.

David, you should have Nicole use a Loofah on her elbows. Her elbows look like patches, and made the beautiful wedding dress ...look not so beautiful.
