David TuteraIn all my years planning weddings, I've discovered that one of the fastest ways to get guests to escape reality and enjoy themselves is through setting an extraordinary wedding atmosphere: a different time, a different place, a different era. But I've also learned some are easier than others...and my next bride, Lauren Masterson, was going to give me a royal challenge!

Lauren's fiancé proposed to her in a full metal suit of armor, and thus, her medieval wedding theme was created... not to mention my task to turn plastic swords and shields, paper crowns and a fake cauldron into a wedding fit for a lady of Renaissance high society.

A trip to see my friends at Faviana got Lauren looking as sophisticated as the surroundings of her castle wedding, and a special visit to one of my very favorite Central Park landmarks helped Lauren get her bridal moments captured in old world glamour... And as far as her decor was concerned? Let's just say Lauren had some great contacts to help her create a "Sherwood Forest"-inspired look that were sure to make her family proud.

This wedding was such a delight that it was only appropriate to bid the guests adieu with a sparkling send-off back to modern-day... Become enchanted with Lauren this Sunday on "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera" at 10 pm on WE tv.

David, I too am I planner, but I am really inspired by your designs and taste. Thank you for your creativity. Any suggestions on how to grow my business would be appreciated. I have traveled the coat tails of a local planner and now have ventured out on my own. I have a lot of ideas, but few clients. Using all types of ads except print, too costly now, to get the message out that I am here..

David,
I loved the idea of the church flowers being placed on birch stems. However, I was not able to see how they were "attached." Can you explain the concept.

Looking forward to seeing what you do next week with the bride that wants an elegant wedding with "feathers."

Thanks!

David, Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your show. i have gotten lots of ideas and inspirations from your show. I even have Vince watching it with me : )
I am recently engaged, but the wedding is not until 2012, so i have plenty of time to think of great ideas!
I was hoping you would give me a few pointers. I have a passion for Castles (not disney, that is usually with Cinderella & Prince Charming or midevil, that is usually dard and dreary), just enchanted castles. My fiance, Vince, is a professional Safety Officer of his firehouse, captain on his brigade, HAZMAT officer and instructor. so i kind of want to bring something with his passion as well.
Our wedding color is blue (not set on which shade yet).
Can you give me any ideas or your thoughts?

Dear David,

I absolutely love your show and definitely shed a few tears every time. My husband and I will be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary in July, 2010. I know you only feature weddings. I was wondering if you have any ideas for us to go for it and have a really special celebration. It might be a thought for one of your shows to highlight long-lasting, happy marriages.

Much luck to you and your show. Thanks.

Dear David,
Unfortunately the too blue dresses you said were ugly were the exact dresses I picked for my Wedding. I am not only ashamed and embarrassed, I am also totally lost now on what to do regarding dresses for my wedding. I love your show and watch it all the time. My wedding is next July and I need help. Please advise.

Dear David,
I've seen your show and your work is fantastic. What I would like to bring to your attention is that someone should do a better background check into those brides that are requesting to be on your show. I happen to be from the same town as Lauren and I know that they didn't need any help. It really bothers me because I know so many brides who can really benefit from your guidance. It pisses me off that there are brides that take advantage of you and are so selfish that they don't care about those less fortunate brides who really cant have that special day let alone afford many of the simple things. I hope that you are not offended by my comment as I really believe that your show is meant to provide people with lasting memories. I too am getting married but wouldn't dream of trying to be on your show because I know someone else needs it more than I do. Thanks.

David, I love your work! I dream of a wedding like all of the weddings I see on my fair wedding! You’re so bless to have such talent! I am helping a friend plan a small wedding with 40 guests. Although, she has a small budget, I really wanted to help her make it elegant. I wanted to know how to put up curtains as décor. I see you usually use them for your weddings. Please I would love it if I can get some tips! Thanks!

David, This episode was great, I can't wait for Sunday nights. You transform weddings into dreams come true. I will be getting married coming this August 13, 2010. What are my chances for being a candidate for your show? It will be a dream come true if you can help me plan my wedding.

There hasn't been an episode that i didn't like. My favorite was Lauren Masterson's wedding. I wondered what you were going to do with the Halloween decorations! Lauren & Chris' wedding reminded me of a scene from a Robin Hood movie. Very enchanting indeed. The birch, the moss the jewel tones, the cake!!. My daughter is very gothic and I think she will love every single one of these ideas. Is there somewhere i can see more pictures from their wedding or can i find that video online?

LidiaC,
Thank you for watching! Branches are such an economic way to have huge statement centerpieces. Branches are also ideal for any time of the year-- from winter birch to spring forsythia or dogwood. For Quiana's wedding, we used pink cherry blossoms that came with flowers naturally blooming on them. If you need to have flower heads or blooms attached to branches that do not naturally flower, use clear fishing wire or floral tape. You can also string votive candles from the branches with fishing wire as well for a look that is appropriate year-round. Happy planning! -- David
