Kricket was the sweetest bride a planner could ever ask for. She was always thinking of others first and never choosing to put her desires above others -- even when it came to selecting her gown! After a trip to her home in New Egypt, New Jersey, my first goal for this bashful bride was obvious... By the arrival of her wedding day, I had to find a way to allow my sweet and caring Kricket to she know she deserved to have her own version of a day that was uniquely hers... and then I would have to find a way to make it real AND beyond the best.
Now, as sweet as my bride was, the wine and grape-themed wedding she was planning was already turning just a little bit sour... It definitely needed something to tie it all together! Kricket had been collecting quite a variety of different decorations that only had one thing in common so far...they were my biggest fear: FAKE!
The decorations were centered around a "light pink merlot" Kricket loved in college -- a wine that, while quite tasty, was not a real wine either!
Kricket was so lovely I just couldn't have kept her from having the real deal she truly deserved. Over the next few weeks, her wine-inspired wedding turned into a palatial Tuscan feast that was just as genuine as Kricket's amazing personality and heart. Raise a glass with us this Sunday for an episode of wining and dining! Cheers!

I just watched the episode with Nicole & Tedroy and I literally cried. I thought what you did for them and all of the brides you work with is done with thoughtfulness and sincerity.
I thought my wedding in 2002 was put together quite well and within budget. But watching your work let's me know that I needed a wedding planner like you! I was under a lot of pressure from my job at the time of planning my wedding, as well as the DC snipper was prowling so it was terribly stressful! Not only that, I feel I cheated my guest by not having the fabulous and creative receptions that you create. Well that was then, and I'm Blessed with a wonderful husband and marriage.
Just wanted to let you know that watching you work so preciously with the brides really touches my heart. Keep working your magic, you have a gift!
David, I just watched the Tuscany wedding with Criket. OMG I cried like an idiot hahaha. She was so sweet and unassuming. After watching all those Bridezillas it was a wonderful refreshing change to see this little girl, and her dream wedding come true. You are quite a talent. I just celebrated my 37th anniversary, and with so many couples splitting now days, you get so sad...these two will be married to death they do part.....you could see the love.....you have a great job! God Bless You....Madge
David, I love everything you do and I see how rewarded you are to work with genuine people like Kricket and Nicole. I've seen you work with some pretty "out there" brides too, like the spider Marilyn Monroe impersonator last season. I am so inspired by your ideas and wish I could have the opportunity and the funds for you to plan my wedding. We haven't set a date yet, but I keep pressuring him to move it up and let's make it happen because my groom is totally going to be into the planning (he's one of those, LOL). I'm even thinking about becoming a wedding planner or at least assisting a wedding planner in NYC just from watching your work.
I hope We keeps this show. It is the only reality show I will watch and that is due to its host. It goes to show you that you can make an entertaining show without having to insult or humiliate the folks. This is a show for people who want to lift people up and not tear them down.
I just finished watching Kricket's wedding. David you were wonderful to her. She was so sweet and non assuming it was a pleasure to watch. Every wedding you have redone gets better all the time.
Hi mstrbock, I took Kricket to the famous Warren Tricomi salon, located in The Plaza Hotel Retail Collection! Edward Tricomi did a fabulous job!
