Marriage is Work...a LOT of Work

Many would agree with me that marriage is work, a LOT of work! There are times that are good and times that are bad, really bad. Bryan and I really didn't know how easy we had it before children. I believe the stress of finding out we were having sextuplets, to the hospitalization, to near death experience, and having six newborns and a TON of family around was more than enough stress on our marriage!

Our Parenting Styles are Different... So What?

Anyone with children knows the difficulty that can arise when parenting styles differ. Bryan and I agree on one thing for sure: "Train a child in the way he/she should go and he/she will not depart from it." We both believe in biblical parenting, raising our children to know the Lord and to love him. Even though we have the same end goal, the way of getting there often differs greatly and creates conflict...imagine that!

Raising Sextuplets: Blessings Outweigh the Challenges

February 2003: I was introduced to Bryan through a very good friend. Bryan was best friends with Mike Fields -- a guy I grew up with my whole life -- in the Air Force. I received an e-mail one day from Bryan while he was stationed in Kuwait, and the rest is history! We talked for hours upon hours, both on the phone and via e-mail, and then spent seven months flying back and forth from Texas to Arizona until we were married on January 2, 2004.
