About
Dixie has spent her life exhaustively studying, pursuing, and celebrating what's fun, fierce and fabulous about being female. An authority on retro "femme-orabilia," Dixie is currently writing a book called The Lost Art of Being a Dame. She has been featured on television, newspapers, websites and in magazines -- including a profile in New York magazine. She has written extensively for print and the Web on style, classic cinema, women's issues, "old skool" sex appeal and new school relationships. (She also penned this site's recent "Ask Dixie" column.)
Dixie lives in Manhattan in an apartment that includes 2 dogs, several parrots, and a giant pink octopus chandelier. She spends her spare time running in Central Park, flea marketing and waiting for Hugh Laurie's call.
