OK, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the world’s greatest plumber. My dad always cracks jokes on my generation about how we can’t cook or fix anything, but I feel it is my duty to lay down some truth on this one. Remember this blog people because I speak for a generation that cannot speak for themselves. Now as a child, my father would tell me stories of his father showing him how to repair things around the house, preparing him for manhood in other words. All I have to say is  - why wasn’t I given that opportunity? I was never dragged around the house and shown how to take care of it in case it breaks down. I believe it is the parent’s duty to pass down this skill, this art form if you will, to his or her kid. It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure their kids are prepared for the real world and I have evidence which shows I was not fully prepared for what went down in the shower. In that moment I decided to take a stand, a stand for those who can’t tell the difference between a Phillips screwdriver and a monkey wrench. I will let the world know we will no longer be abused for our involuntary ignorance. Now for those who feel I’m attempting to evade taking any ounce of responsibility for what happened, you are absolutely correct.
