Well all my fabulously frivolous fashionistas this episode is truly one of my faves. What can I say? We saved the best for last! I loved it when Dana said "legally I think we should pay for it." That's not what She Got Game is about; it's about free stuff and who doesn't want that? What about the pink jacket from Tahari? Truly a showstopper. A pop of color is sometimes all we need to change our moods. Plus it's a good way to turn a blah day into a winner! The coat is trendy as were the green moc croc and metallic pumps. But in my opinion Dana has the perfect date outfit: It says I like fashion and style and am not afraid of it.

Michelle Hits a Wall

Belts take center stage this fall.

Oh that dreaded style wall!! It is without a doubt one of the hardest challenges on She Got Game. (Remember, everyone: Style has no price.) Michelle seemed like she might just get through it but accessories (especially belts) are hard to crack. What might look like leather can be plastic, and what might look like an exotic skin could be stamped leather. So it takes a trained eye and a seasoned shopper to get through that wall unscathed. (At least Michelle got that cute belt!)

I just got through the spring collections in New York, and I can confident that belts are here to stay. Perhaps I should say waist emphasis is here to stay. We saw all kinds: thin metallic, wide leather and fabric sash styles. I firmly believe that a little waist emphasis makes everyone's figure look better (even thinner) no matter your size. It's all in the shape, fashion faithful! We often hear designers and fashion experts talking about a woman's "silhouette." A belt is all you need to give the outfit added polish and your body an hourglass figure!

Hello, dear fashion stars. As you probably have gathered by now, I am a strong believer in the classics. Now my classics aren't of the musical variety or the kind that hang on museum walls. No, my classics are sartorial in nature -- I'm talking fashion people!
]]> Jennifer was one strong, cool and confident young woman. She won all of her challenges with ease. That's why I was thrilled beyond the beyond that she got the Trench Coat. Simply because it is one of those wardrobe staples I believe in so strongly. This tiny trench had a ton of style. A little shrunken with oversize buttons it will fill the trendy/classic niche perfectly. As I was watching her in her summer outfit (complete with a white bag) I was laughing to myself. With all of her winnings, she already has fall covered!

That's why I love She Got Game: One day you're shopping and in about five minutes, you've got a whole new look! Now, just to be clear: I don't always travel around in stores with a camera crew waiting to ambush some unsuspecting shopper, but I can guarantee you one thing -- I'm always looking!

Alas, the recent spring collections that debuted during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week -- I was up close and personal at almost all the shows -- were so inspiring that I was able to tackle the task at hand. That Hat Girl

It's always so painful when you're rooting for someone to go for it all. I could tell that Cara really wanted the gunmetal shoes I enticed her with so when the spelling bee tripped her up I was crushed! (I'm sure she was as well!) This was the second time in She Got Game's history that challenge has done someone in.

]]> Marlene Dietrich, Ingrid Bergman and Greta Garbo all helped to make this style famous in the 1930s.

Flash forward to 2008: It's become a more casual and hip statement. I like it for a relaxed brunch or an evening at the movies. Just think you don't even have to worry about doing your hair!! Wearing a hat also takes confidence. I will let you in on a little secret. A very good friend of mine who is often photographed by the fashion press told me that if you want your picture taken....wear a hat! Everyone wants to stand out in a crowd and what better way by just topping your look off with the perfect chapeau (while adding a little mystery and glamour along the way)?

When I ambushed Amy I had no idea what to expect. Her personal style seemed relaxed and a bit "anti-fashion." The Marc Jacobs shades she was shopping for gave me the first clue that there might be an inner fashionista waiting to be released! And released it was when I showed her the second prize. The metallic soft leather clutch made her eyes get a little bigger. The third prize, however, was really the kicker. The fabulous jacket will look ahh-mazing on her! The military khaki green will really compliment her hair and skin tones.

We have seen it all summer on celebs like Nicole Ritchie, Kate Hudson, and Ashlee Simpson. It grazes the ankles, comes in a million different prints and looks great on young girls. But jut because summer is over do you have to pack it away? This style stalker says no way! I am here to break the rules and help stretch your dollar a little further!!! Here's how you take it into fall!

Step 1: Lose the flat gladiator sandals and put a boot with a chunky heel with it.

Step 2: Find a cute shrunken cardigan or a denim jacket and throw it on top.

Step 3: Change your bag. Lose the straw bag and put it with a leather oversize bag with a fringe detail.

And presto: instant autumn hippie chick.

One caveat: I'm a big believer in the democratization of fashion. Every trend for everyone is my motto, but in this case...not so much. This look is best for the young 'uns.

I really wanted Corey to walk out a winner. She was a savvy shopper who knew what she wanted. That's why I was a little shocked that the style wall tripped her up. Granted it's not easy, but I really thought she'd get through it!

If you're thinking about spending more than $300 on glasses, my advice to you is this: don't. Spend your money on something more sensible like a pair of shoes or a great bag. How many times have you lost your glasses or sat on them in a car or taxi?

My absolute favorite shape is the classic aviator. It's timeless and always sexy (think Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Lopez). Approach buying sunglasses the way you would a pair of prescription glasses: Go into an eyeglass store and work with a professional to find the best shape for you. Tell them your style stalker James sent you! (And if you're going for a trendier look try buying them from a street vendor or discount store. )

Meeting Michelle was a "she got game" highlight for me!! I loved her raven black hair and olive skin. She had her own sense of style and was not interested in being cookie cutter at all. Lets just say the blondes that are taking over television and music are going to have to get ready for a brunette revolution! ]]>
Now we can't let the Michael Kors boots go without the proper homage. These are what I call workhorse accessories. In that they do all the work for you. They are fabulous, functional and fierce! They are also a classic biker boot but femmed up with the color and a slimmer shape. This is definitely the boot to wear with your favorite jeans! Pair the boots with a chunky hand-knit sweater and some colored denim (rust or green). And you have the perfect fall outfit for apple picking in the country, touring your local farmers market for the end of the season goodies or a casual brunch with your gossip-girlfriends!

The least-to-most challenge

Sarah was picked because of the cute little tee shirt she was sporting. It was such a casual Saturday-morning type of outfit -- what could have been a little too casual for me turned out to actually be the perfect way to do it. Casual, kicky and fun!

]]> Now let's talk about the game: One of the hardest challenges has been "least to most." It doesn't surprise me at all, and proves what I have always believed. You do not have to spend a ton to look like a million. For many years now, we've had the "luxury" of buying stylish clothing at reasonable prices. This challenge proves that point that often times the least expensive item can have the most bang for the buck. Try this exercise when you go shopping. Bring a friend and have them block out the label and the price. If you love it regardless, it was meant to be. If you only like it because it has a designer label, then you are the quintessential fashion victim and the perfect candidate for my style stalking series.

Just a little aside about Jessica Simpson and her fine line. I am usually suspicious of "celebrity designers." Well Jessica has proven me wrong. Everyone I know is in agreement that these are some of the cutest shoes out there. I interviewed the actress/pitchwoman/hair-piece loving, pop/country diva in Miami last summer and much to my amazement she really has a handle on this side of the biz. What can I say? The girl really knows her sh...uh...shoes!

I liked Andrea immediately, but as soon as she asked, "Who says blondes aren't smart?," I was putty in her hands. Her smile lit up the room and she had that Carrie Bradshaw vibe going on! I grabbed her while she was shopping for earrings and could tell she had a funky boho look. You can never tell who's going to be up for She Got Game and at first I wasn't sure if she'd advance past the second round. As usual, I was proven very wrong!
