...and the Masche sextuplets are too cute for words, then all I really need to do in this blog is post photos of the babies and stop writing. But I will forge ahead, regardless, and do both. There are a number of new photos from Dawn the Producer, taken at Halloween and during the shoot last week. The babies as bees and the parents as beekeepers works very well, I am sure you will agree. Over on the right side of this page, there is a link to the photo gallery.
Let me go on another tangent to explore our world at WE tv. In a few months we will be premiering a fascinating new series (IMHO) about the world of child beauty pageants. Little Miss Perfectis in post production and we sent out a press release to the industry a few months ago. Yesterday, however, TLC announced that it is going to do a very similar series, debuting in late January. Now, non-fiction television is a relatively small industry--I worked at TLC for seven years, and WE's head of programming was the VP of Programming there for years as well. The production company making TLC's series is about to make a series for us.
So we know TLC started their program after we did--but are trying to air it first. And they are a much bigger network--although we are gaining rapidly. So what to do? Rush ours on first? Ignore them and know that our series is terrific and will do well with our viewers? Hope that if TLC spends a lot of money marketing their series that it will actually help raise awareness of this micro genre and help WE, too?
All good questions for debate. In the end, as so often said by athletes, all you can do is make sure your game is the best it can be and the rest will take care of itself.

I'll be looking forward to your series, whenever you decide to air it. Sounds like a really fun show.

Thanks, Jane. I have been away for a while but will blog some more soon. The series will air next summer on WE tv.
