Jenny MascheOne of the photos taken during the first few days of shooting took place in a Lake Havasu City park, a beautiful green oasis unlike the arid brown landscape of that part of Arizona.  It was along the waterfront path there that Jenny began and ended her marathon training run with two friends.

As the crew positioned her in front of a scenic background, little did they realize what lay in store.

As we drove in to the park an hour earlier, I had half noticed a sign near the entrance which warned that sprinklers could come on at any time.  I had seen parts of the park getting watered by the irrigation system as we headed for the parking lot.  But this was far from the top of my--or anyone else's--mind at this moment.

So, of course, in mid-interview, from out of nowhere, a couple of mini geysers exploded, shooting water directly at Jenny and the crew.  Luckily, they all had great reflexes and jumped out of the way.  It was actually quite funny, and no one got too wet.  The only real danger was the camera, which could have suffered expensive damage if it had taken a direct hit.

Once the tapes start getting edited, I will try to get that bit and post it on this blog.  Any other bloopers would be good, since we don't really have a place to run them during the program itself.
