I got back to NYC last night and had an email from Dawn the Producer. She said the day had gone well, shooting the Masches in Manhattan. And she attached a photo of Blake - check it out after the jump!
And a few minutes ago, the ratings came in. It shows how hard it is to judge numbers: we did about double what the time slot has been doing and we about 50% above WE tv's prime time average for our target, women 25-54 and 18-49. On the other hand, it didn't do as well as OMG! Sextuplets!, the special from last year that led to this series, did when it premiered. Given the volume of press the series received, I was hoping to do even better.
But, as with most series, the real answer lies in episodes 3-4. By then, the initial burst of attention has faded and the viewers who were just checking something out have either gone elsewhere... or stuck around and pulled in people via word of mouth. So it will be interesting to see how RS does the next few weeks out...
The show was GREAT!!! Having both many years experience working with children and being the eldest in a large family it was so refreshing to see a show that shows the reality of working w/children. On top of that, having been a faithful viewer of another sextuplet family and having been raised in the South Louisiana, I loved that the parents ACTUALLY LET THEIR CHILDREN LIVE LIFE [not little robots]...the part w/the kids in the dog bath was PERFECT!!! It sold me! Please get a facebook fan page would love to add y'all!!! Best wishes to the Masche family!
I love the show. God bless you and your family. Thanks for allowing us to witness these miracles as they grow and move forward into a exciting future. Thank you for your testimony and honesty. I am in awe that Jenny ran the marathon and balances work, family, dog and herself so gracefully. You are indeed a supermom. I think it is wonderful to see what a family affair your life is. Grandparents and friends are so important for children to have a stable homelife. Nice to see normal for a change.
I absolutely loved the show! I get overwhelmed being a mom to 3 kids under three years old, I can't imagine having 6 the same age. Jenny makes it look so easy. Thank you for letting us see what your life is like, you are truly a role model to mothers!
This show is by far waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Jon & Kate Plus 8. Jenny is a well rounded NORMAL mom, who swats her kids hand when she sees one of them pulling hair or touching something they shouldn't. She's not orange or getting plastic surgery, she's still working the way a parent should be, and she's still making time to be a mom to each of them. Its refreshing to see someone who knows their on camera, but doesn't look at their kids like a meal ticket. I hope Jon & Kate pick up a few lessons from Jenny & Bryan.
If they weren't meal tickets they wouldn't be on this show getting paid not because they are good ole mom and dad but they had 6 kids to make them relevant.
This show is sooooooooooooooo sweet! Jenny and Bryan are such an awesome couple. Love how they nurture and love each other, how they tea relate. Thank goodness for such a nice, refreshing, loving show about a family that size!
yea, finally a show about a large family where mom and dad actually work! and great-grandma is doing laundry and grandpa is bathing the kids, lol.... i will be tuning in again.
Are you kidding me? I have never seen such an unsafe environment for children in years. No childrproofing on the doors or kitchen cupboards viewed in the show and the back yard is scary with that flimsy little gate.Parents with scissors and pumpkin carving knives within reach of the little ones. What if one of the little ones slipped and fell towards Daddy while he was sitting on the ground carving a pumpkin with a knife or towards Mommy grooming the dog? Come on get a clue !
I didn't care for this show at all and won't watch it again. It is nothing personal. Good luck with your beautiful children.
I absolutely adore you and your husband... and of course the gorgeous tots of yours. You are REAL and a normal mom. You are a mom that I can actually relate to as a mother of twins. Life gets so crazy with an addition of one extra baby, I can't imagine 5 extra babies!! Your genuineness and warmth are refreshing after viewing the Gosselins. I applaud you on being so positive throughout the stress of raising sextuplets. I look forward to seeing more of Raising Sextuplets, and until then I wish you an your family well!! BRAVO, Jenny and Bryan!
I caught a couple of your shows and have to say I really like it!! I can relate on so many levels. I gave birth to Quadruplets at 27 weeks last September, and am raising my 3 survivors (my smallest, Madeline, passed away 9 days after birth), along with a 5 & 2 year old. What a crazy life I have and your show definately makes me feel normal. Keep up the good work and positive attitude your kids are adorable, thanks for sharing part of you life with us.
You have a great show! Only problem is that it's on the wrong channel. Americans would love to watch adorable toddlers, a loving and responsible couple, trying to do the best they can with the blessings they've been given.
WE TV cannot support and promote the show as well as other channels could. I had to hear about your show through word of mouth. Then I had to figure out where to find WE TV. Turned out to be Channel 117 !
Maybe at the end of your contract, you can be picked up by another channel (TLC?) while the children are still toddlers and more viewers can enjoy watching them grow. :-)
I truly love this show. Jenny is so real and down to earth, she is truly a Supermom. I think Bryan and her are a great team together, and may God bless them all, those children are truly a gift from above.
I just in the last week discovered this show with my husband ... and I agreee with another blogger. I think this show is great, but I think you would be a much bigger hit if you could get yourselves on TLC, The Learning Channel. I believe they are looking for families who have multiples or are large families. I had been a faithful watcher of another show about sextuplets, the "JonandKatePlus8" show on TLC, but now that is not going to be on again til August, I am so glad I found your show, Jenny and Bryan!! Your kids are so cute and I love the way you kind of banter back and forth but you both act like you do it with love, or all in fun!! I am going to write TLC and suggest that they get you on their channel for some episodes, so people can have more than just the Jon&KatePlus8 show to watch. I am thinking that the Jon & Kate show is going to be a thing of the past anyway. You, Jenny and Bryan are a nice relief after seeing the other sextuplet show. Really nice!! Thanks!!!
I like the show and glad for the station as it seems a little different in filming/editing then TLC. I'm hoping that Bryan & Jenny keep their kids and marriage first and not money.
I really like the fact that we see so much of the extended family, the grandmas, the grandpas, sisters etc. the episode where grandpa was giving these kids a bath was just tooo much, I don't know the last time that I laughed that hard!!
I LOVE the show. Jenny and Bryan are great parents and have adorable little angels of which Savannah is my favorite. I feel that more advertisment needs to be done, because I happen to be flipping through channel and came across the show and once I watched first episode I fell in love with the family. I pray that God will protect your family and keep the love that Jenny and Bryan have for each other stronger each day. I've watched john and kate, please 8 and it DOES NOT compare to Raising Sextuplets. So to the producers of this show WE DEMAND MORE of this family. And I will pray everyday for your family and that The Lord will bless you with a bigger home that has plenty of space inside and outside for your kids to run around and have fun. One thing that disturbs me is the biting from Bailey and the boys, especially when they bite my favorite Savannah!!!!!! Can't wait until new episodes.
I agree with are you kidding me...she allowed
Blake to fall and need oral surgery which could
scar him for life...She was not watching him.
She is a terrible pet parent..she totally ignores
the dog...only walks him and feeds him..she
did not bathe the dog..she put him only in a pail
with water for a few seconds...she should have
taken him to a groomer or used dog shampoo.
She brings home new babies and totally ignores
the dog...all the babies were turning looking and
smiling at each other..and the poor dog turned to
wall where there were no smiles for him! Anyone
from Animal Planet would be angry! She nearly
got the dog killed but letting him run with them
without a leash where there coyotes known to
roam..and said the baby Molli would be devastated
she never mentioned herself..the dog is used as a
live stuffed animal..she never holds him..or lets him
know that he is still her baby too..she called him
a filthy dirty animal on the first episode..she thinks
that because the baby Molli likes him..he gets
attention..she cannot show him love, she is too
young and wipes her syrupy hands on him before
her bath...she let savannah walk to the lake and
said that she would not..it was bryan who picked
her up after she ignored her mothers words no,
and shook his head angrily...she insisted they
be alone in the year with small stones and they
would not swallow them..it was bryan who stopped
them from being alone with the stones..
it is not cute also to show a poor dog with matted
dirty hair in his eyes..
she does not support her husband...she
harasses him..she admits she does not make
diet meals for him...but has time to practice
running...on date night she puts salt and pepper
in his cheesecake..it is understood once a week
dining out should be not on a diet...she never
said how glad she was to be with bryan in the
race...only seeing the babies..she never said
on her best day of her life...bryans name...only
her friends and relatives..even bryan said to her,
after she asked him to move the babys table
outside...oh, you need me for something.
the babies are a joy to watch..but her
unawareness to the dangers of the outside..like
why would you have those babies in a pen with
a python snake...wild animals are unpredictable.
Jenny only thinks of jenny and what only makes
the babies happy and allows it at being dangerous
she does not once for a few minutes a week
even throw the poor dog a bowl...she does
not nurture bryan or support him..why he eats
is that she only talks about the babies and
never asks him about his day...or tells him
she loves him

I like Jenny and the kids are adorable but the husband is like a 7' tall brat. I wanted to kick him when he was using the electric screwdriver with the kids around him and he was jokingly pointing at them with the screwdriver going on. After I saw that, I vowed never to see the show again. And I haven't even seen the other episodes mentioned above with the snake and stuff.
I love this show. I am still going through "depression" about Jon and Kate breaking up, so I pray for you every time I watch you. Keep trusting in the One who will see us all through all the tough times. Thanks for sharing your lives with us and being a light to others.
