There are many ways people define family these days. I don't agree with all of them, but I do believe one definition... you don't have to be biologically related to be "family." This week's episode of The Locator is proof that blood isn't always thicker than water. Sometimes, people pass through our life and make such a deep impact on us, our heart simply categorizes them as "family."

In my 20-year career, I have had to make some very awkward, and sometimes shocking, calls to people. Sometimes I have broken the news to people that they have an identical twin. Other times, I reveal to people their relinquished child has grown up to be a celebrity. But sometimes, people stumble upon these shocking discoveries on their own, and then ask me to help bring closure. This episode of The Locator is one of those moments.

Dear WE "Locator" Family,
Troy and I get to read the thousands of requests that come in and I am really struck by something. Although many have a wedding, graduation, birth of a child or some other 'big' event coming up that they'd like to share with their missing loved one, the majority of you express that it isn't the 'big' things that you dream of sharing if you could be reunited with your missing loved one, but it is the LITTLE THINGS!

This week's episode of The Locator is a very intense experience, at least for me. I'm not going to blog much about it here because I really want you to experience the journey as it happens. I will tell you that having a young daughter myself, who has battled cancer, made the selection of this Angel Case very easy for me. But the emotional roller-coaster it put me and my staff on was exhausting.

Hey WE friends,
So I don't know all of the 'gift categories' for wedding anniversaries, but I can remember a few of them: I think the first year is paper (aka credit card bills!), the 5th year is wood, the 10th anniversary is aluminum, and the 15th is crystal. But do you know what the 16th is... ME! LOL!!
