The Locator's Troy DunnAs you may know by now (if you are a dedicated watcher of "The Locator") I explain to everyone who's case I take on, there are four possible outcomes from my efforts:
1. I may not find the person
2. I may find them but they are deceased
3. I may find them alive but they don't want to reunite
4. I may find them and they WANT to reunite!

Of those four possible outcomes, the best possible outcome is obviously the 4th one. This 4th option makes up about 90% of our results. The next episode of The Locator follows the team on a case which ends with one of the first three options!! (I can't tell you which one, but I think you will be surprised.) It was certainly a surprise to me!

If you follow my Twitter, you already know how this one ends because I took you behind the scenes when this story was featured on The View and Dr Phil. If you aren't following me on Twitter, hurry and subscribe (it's FREE). You are missing the behind the scenes secrets! :-)

TWITTER SURPRISE!
Speaking of Twitter, I've decided to make Twittering more fun by occasionally giving away something every so often via my tweets! So read them quick so you can be the first to grab the free stuff! Here's how you can follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/thelocator

YOU MADE THE DUNN KIDS SMILE!
When my son Treston posted the behind-the-scenes blog, I never would have guessed how many of you would watch the videos he posted of our family! WOW! So many of you have have sent in such wonderful and funny notes to the Dunn kids, thanks! I'm sure you will see even more videos from inside our home because everytime I turn around, Treston is sneaking around with camera in-hand! LOL

Remember, if "The Locator" show is going to have the opportunity to keep reuniting more families, I need you to get involved in spreading the good word about the show to EVERYONE you can. It is not easy to keep family-friendly programming on TV, so we must keep spreading the word. Thank you for being part of Team Locator!!

See you on Twitter 24 hours a day! God bless your family,

Troy & the team
I think I must cry on every episode, I love your show. I kind of feel a connection with so many of the people you have helped. I have a full sister & brother out there some where, that my mother gave up at birth. I can't tell you how often I wonder about them. I have done a little of my own searching, however I really don't have much information to go on and not quite sure how or what I should be searching. My mom's memory doesn't seem to be real clear on dates and things. I think there has been sooo much shame on her over the years that it is even uncomfortable for her to talk about. Your show gives me hope that maybe someday they will find us.

God Bless You Troy Dunn!!

How does it feel to go 42 years without knowing who your father is? Well my husband Jimmy can answer that. It is like not finding the last piece of a puzzle you so desperately want to complete. I am writing at the request of my husband Jimmy Rivera who is too emotional to put his thoughts together. Jimmy says that not knowing his father has been the hardest ordeal that he has endured. We will be married 1 year on 9/27/09 and my only wish is to give him the best anniversary gift ever. Reunite him with the father he so anxiously wants to meet. Jimmy has never seen his father as his mother was 3 months pregnant when his parents separated. Although we had a beautiful wedding Jimmy feels that it was not complete because he did not have his father there to share in the joyous event. It is my husband's biggest dream to meet his father. I have seen your show many times and I know that if anyone can locate Jaime it will be you. Can you be the one to find the missing piece to our puzzle? We have searched endlessly via the internet and have always come up short. Please help us to find the father my husband desires to meet. If anyone can help Troy can!!

Hello Troy & Katie,
Well, I found her. I found my birthmom. I found out she was no longer married. So no toes to step on. I saved $$$ and flew to SanAntonio, and began my search at the courthouse there. She did not have anymore children. She was very happy to see me. I will share details later. She is not alone anymore. she has MYSELF AND 3 BEAUTIFUL GRANDCHILDREN. We were both very emotional, as would be expected. But in a very happy way. My prayers became reality. We are both truely blessed now.
Thank you for wanting to help. I have, now, yes, found closure. I took a chance in going, but it all turned out wonderful.
Thank you to Katie for all her sweet thoughts in being personally involved in my journey.
Love and prayers to you, Deb T.(Idaho)

I very much like what you do Troy.I just watched the show with Wendy whose mother,Jennifer, did not want to see her kids. She sent a letter instead that seemed to me to be all about the kids father than them. What kind of person is this?I am disgusted. My only child was killed when he was 10 and the pain of losing him will always be with me.She has a choice to see them and won't!Sometimes I wonder why God gives a person like that beautiful children.I would have taken Wendy in my arms and never let go.I hope she knows how much people care about her and her brother.I wish them the best of everything!

Troy,

You are doing an invaluable service, but you know that! My brother and I know how they feel. We found each other after 43 years, neither knew about the other. Our mother left him with our grandparents and never spoke of him. We are making up for lost time.

God Bless you and what you do!

Linda

I wanted to let you know that I have had my family watch your show, The Locator. It has touched all of us. I believe that you could help my sister-in-law.

Paula's Story

My sister-in-law has a story different than most stories that I have seen on The Locator thus far. I'm not sure if it's possible to help her find her father or some of her lost siblings.

Paula's mother was born with the legal name of Joyce Ann Drennan in Melvern, AK. To our knowledge she never married to any of the men that she had children with.

Her first two children were born in the late 1940's; a boy that went by the name of Butch and a girl that went by Candy, both with the last name of Bradgett. (Not exactly sure of the correct spelling.) The father came and took the children away and have never been seen since. They may have been taken to Wisconsin. Joyce then gave birth to a set of Twins named Ronnie and Reggie. The twins lived with Joyce for a few years and then were given to a couple at a local bar and later they were left at an orphanage. The twins thought their name was Bradgett until they received their birth certificates and discovered their name was really Bailey. Fortunately, we have found the twins. One lives in TX and the other AR.
My sister-in-law, Paula was born in Odessa TX. The birth certificate had Joyce using the name of Joyce Ramsey, the father's name was listed as Paul Peek. We are not sure if he is really her father or if her father is a man named Billy Jo Smith. Paula was raised by her grandmother until her grandmother passed away. Then she was placed with a family in Melvern AK. We know that Joyce had at least one more child; Jackie Burch. Again we do not know if this is the correct spelling. Unfortunately, we do not know where Jackie was born. She may have been given away or possibly raised by her father. We do not know what the fathers name is or if he was even involved. We just know that the child was called Jackie and that she had very dark hair. She was last seen at the age of about two. Jackie was born in April of 1957.

We have heard stories about a woman's body that was found under a bridge. Some people think that this woman could have been Joyce Drennon. A.K.A Ramsey No one has seen or heard from Joyce since that time. We believe the woman's body could have been Joyce.
So, my questions would be... is there a way of finding more about Paula's family? We do not know all the ends and outs. We have found that it is very costly and there must be a better way of doing this. Paula could have a father still living and a large family some where. Paula was raised an only child and has missed out on having her sibblings around her. Even if they do not want to have anything to do with her. She wants to know where they are. She just needs to find her palce in the world. Any help that you could give would be truly be appreciated.

If you have any suggestions please let me know. Thank you for your time.

You forgot about 5.

5. You may find the person and throw the person who raised them under the bus on national TV without any reguard for truth or integrity of a reality show.

Thanks again Troy!!!

We recently changed TV providers, and found The Locator last week. We are now recording each episode. It is by far the best program on television and we thank you so much for airing the show. I was off work on Friday and caught the Dr. Phil show, featuring Troy Dunn. Finding loved ones and relatives touches practically every family in some way. Thank you again for bringing this to television. I'm sorry we missed the First Season of The Locator because we had the wrong TV provider.

Hey Mr. Troy, My name is Chazz and I love your show! It have given me great hope that one day I may be able to find my father that I have never met Or even some of his family if he is no longer alive. I am 33 and have never met my father. Although I know his real name I have no other informatin on him other than he lived in Lebanon, Tn in 1975 ,when I was conceived , I have exhausted every means to find my real father! Maybe you can give some good advice on how to dig a little deeper when know one wants to answer your questions! I can only imagine how hard it is to find lost love ones, because is has been sometimes very discouraging for me. However, I hav faith that one day I will find the answers and the person that I have been looking for a long as I can remember.Thank you for all that you and your show does and Keep Up the Good Work!

YOur # 1 Fan,
Chazz

i love the show. i have two daughters (age 6 and 10) who are adopted from foster care and hope Troy will be around for a long time. i asked for every bit of info i could get on their birth parents and siblings so that someday they can be reunited if they want to. i feel so strongly that children should not lose part of their identity or have questions unanswered through no fault (or choice) of their own. thx for being there!

Let me be the first to blog.....you have done unmeasurable harm to a family that tried to do the RIGHT thing. We appreciate your support in that. Please don't be a liar. Please don't tell us how much you care about family when it is obvious that a show and ratings mean so much more.

Good job Troy!!!
