The best sheets, placemats and decorative what-nots for the newlywed home.

Whether you and your fiancé are moving into a new home (post-nuptials) or just updating your current digs, replacing the linens in your nest can totally revamp your look and elevate your style. Call it a soft renovation if you will: it's also the best time to upgrade nappy towels, dress your table more elegantly and invest in piles of decorative pillows and throws.

Having a gorgeous bed layered in luxurious linens is a bridal right of passage. For starters, we're obsessed with Louisiana-based Leontine Linens (see above). Emblazon their decadently soft duvet covers and shams with your new monogram, in an old-fashioned curly-cue font or something clean and modern. Invest in a set of Manrico cashmere sheets for romantic winter nights; the pure cashmere linens are divine as they sound, yet practical--you can toss them in the washer and dryer. For every day sheets, go with the sweet and sensible white Simply Shabby Chic set, available at Target. (They get better with every wash.) Toss a few hand silk-screened Letter Cushions by Atsuyo et Ekiko on your bed for a finishing touch that's chic but playfully romantic.

Outside the bedroom, a few accent pieces can make a big statement. We love everything by Gayle Warwick. More like fine art than linens, Gayle's organic linens collection is hand-embroidered in Vietnam. Splurge on napkins and placemats threaded with metallic gold or silver silk. In the living room, add some on-trend prints and colors with pillows, dhurries (cotton rugs) and throws by John Robshaw, a new favorite among fashion designers.
