It's pretty easy to find something old, something new and something borrowed. It's the "something blue" that trips up most brides when putting together their wedding day ensembles. There are actually a lot of fun, stylish ways to add a hint of cobalt or a splash of periwinkle to your sea of white. Just remember to keep it simple--and subtle.

Sadly, Christian Louboutin no longer sells his line of blue-soled shoes. But just about any cobbler will custom paint the soles of your shoes. So bring in your Manolos or your Choos and have the bottoms painted baby blue. Cosabella and Hanky Panky both make underwear in light-blue lace (and most wedding gowns are so thick and heavy you won't see them through the fabric). Blue stones (a lá Katie Holmes) are another way to go (we love pale blue sapphires on brides), or you could ask your florist to incorporate some sky blue Delphiniums or violet Veronicas in your bouquet. And lucky for brides getting married this year, colored cosmetics are back in a major way. While you might regret blue eyeliner or shadow in your wedding photos down the road, your photographer probably won't catch very light blue nail polish on your toes. But please, we cannot emphasize enough: VERY light.
