White-Hot Accessories (Beyond the Gown)

When it comes to brides, the whiter the merrier.

With all due respect to the No-White-After-Labor-Day tradition, there's something refreshing about sparkling white accessories in the dead of winter. And of course when it comes to brides, the whiter the merrier.

So while you're counting the days until summer, keep yourself in a bridal state of mind by flashing a little white wherever and whenever you can. Get a French manicure, wear a white headband (love the Viceroy ones from Joomi), or trade in your beaten-up New Balance sneakers for a cute pair of Tretorns.  Wear a pair of white plastic sunglasses (even on those short, gray days). The $400+ ones at Roger Vivier are hot, but not exactly recessionista in spirit. Instead, try Kate Spade's Veronica shades, in white. You can also sport Henri Bendel's new logo luggage (with the white leather trim), display a tray of white Vosges truffles for house guests, or pick up a pack of Ceci New York's new White Label Collection stationery. And the ultimate in chic bridal-white accessories? The new Hermes-designed white Smart Car. Okay, it's not exactly an accessory, but it is beyond cute. If nothing else, it would make the perfect getaway or honeymoon rental car if you're tying the knot in Europe.
