carrie-ben-152.jpgA modern Colorado destination wedding with great details.

By Vané Broussard

Photographer Karie Mclain sent me this fun Colorado wedding that really took rustic elements and made them modern...the photos make me wishful for an outdoor wedding surrounded by birch trees.  I'll let Karie tell a little bit more about the day.

Carrie and Ben met in LA while working together.  Ben was offered a job in Miami and rules of the corporate world would no longer allow Carrie to work for the company.  Carrie moved with Ben to Miami, yet they managed to fall in love with the mountains and decided to have a destination wedding in Beaver Creek, CO.  They had a traditional Jewish ceremony ...from the Kubota Signing, to the Chuppa at the ceremony, to the chair dance at the recption.  The ceremony took place outdoors with the Rocky Mountain aspen trees and etc.

carrie-ben-3.jpg The chuppa was made of aspen trunks.  The flowers that lined the isle of the ceremony were wrapped in aspen bark.  Each guest got a little pine tree to plant and take home with them (most of these guests are from out of town, FL and LA to be exact).

Carrie wore lime green shoes with her dress that were beautiful!  The guys wore beige suits.  Ben, the groom, wore a green tie.  All of the groomsmen wore brown Vans (shoes).

Their friends and family danced all night long (nobody was sitting). It was a beautiful wedding!
