My favorite part of my wedding day was FINALLY being able to wear my dress, getting pampered and of course, marrying the man of my dreams. I started planning for our wedding the day after he proposed. I was sooo excited and wanted to start planning ASAP. I had our venue booked and date picked within about 4 days of the proposal. If I could change one thing about my wedding day it would be the venue. I love where the ceremony took place and I love how the reception turned out but there was no AC for the reception. I think the lack of AC kept a lot of people from dancing and the majority of the people gathered outside to escape the heat I think. We went to the Canary Islands in Spain for our honeymoon. It was AMAZING. We stayed in a wonderful condo overlooking the water and the mountains for 7 days. We explored the whole island and hiked up the volcano. The island is so unique because a few days we spent on the beach and then once we made the trip to the volcano and mountains we were in the snow. It was a great honeymoon! Marriage has been great for us. We have really grown together as a team, combined our finances and are in the process of buying a new house. Marriage is exactly what I thought it would be, actually better. There is definitely a lot of baby talk. I have 2 children already but we definitely want 1 or 2 of our own. We are going to concentrate on a baby about a year after we close on our new house. We want to make sure we are all settled and have the house we want it before baby. I am so excited though! In the weeks leading up to the wedding we were both so stressed out and constantly at each other’s throats, it was really scary at times. But it was all so worth it because we had an amazing wedding and now we have the rest of our lives to look forward to. I actually fantasize about another wedding - maybe in 10 years we’ll renew our vows and do it all over again!
