Yes, we are still married!! We love each other very much. It’s been 1 year and 3 months of marriage and we’ve been going strong. Just enjoying our time with our daughter, and getting ready to buy a house in August. And I cut my hair! We spent our honeymoon in Mexico at a GORGEOUS all inclusive resort called Excellence Playa Mujeres. We relaxed, enjoyed the AMAZING food, and just enjoyed each other. My favorite honeymoon memory had to be when “Mexican Night” was rained out and we ordered TONS of room service and just sat and watched movies. (SEE PICS) At first I regretted being on Bridezillas when people who didn’t even know me had such HORRIBLE things to say about me on the website, but I got over that pretty quickly. The only thing I regret is that other people got the wrong idea about the kind of parents Tim and I are, the relationships we have with our family, and about how much Tim and I love each other. I would like to say that I did look for my nephew when he went missing and I was terrified for my sister, not angry that the attention wasn’t on me. That’s my nephew and I love him! I would also like to say that I’m dedicated to my daughter 100%. I would never do anything to endanger her in any way and no, I was not going to “road rage” and actually do something to the woman who cut us off in the car - it was JUST TALK- but of course I was upset- the fact is that someone put my daughter’s life in danger with their careless driving and a mother’s instinct is to protect her child. I live every day for my daughter and my husband. To those who criticized me for cursing- I admit I am not perfect! Yes, sometimes I curse. I’m a work in progress, but please realize that hearing a parent curse is not going to scar a child. My daughter is a happy, intelligent, and thriving little girl. Last but not least, Tim and my mother are my best friends, and no one in our family hates each other. We are a very close knit family. At first, when we all saw the show we were a little upset at the light both me and my family were cast in, but then we realized that anyone who TRULY knew us would know that that wasn’t the REAL us and that’s what matters. Tim received a well-deserved promotion and we will be looking to purchase our first home in August 2009. I would just like to let everyone know that we are very much in love, very happy, and plan on staying that way for the rest of our lives. We enjoyed the experience of having the crew there on our big day. It made it that much more special, believe it or not! Although it did add to the stress of the day I still wouldn’t change the experience for the world. To anyone out there who “hates” me, has labeled me a “bad mom” after seeing me interact with my daughter for a total of maybe 5 minutes or anyone who has nothing but horrible things to say about me, I’d invite you to spend some time with me before assuming that you know what kind of person I really am. I have a great family full of love, and some really awesome friends. The experience of being on Bridezillas has actually brought me back together with an old friend who I’d had a falling out with (I love you Kelly!) so in the end the experience was definitely worthwhile. |
