I'm really glad the mother was spending money taking care of herself with the doula, the acupuncturist, the trainer, etc. After all, a healthy mother is vital for a healthy baby. And this baby is obviously loved & wanted. HOWEVER, I felt that the $5000 baby shower for 10 PEOPLE(!) was way out of line. $1200 for flowers & $3800 for food? That's ridiculous.

I agree with you 100%, AverageJoe77. That's what always bothers me about My Fair Wedding. The brides are always struggling to get by on a budget until David comes in and throws a ton of money into the affair. Of course it becomes fantastic. How could it not with his taste (impeccable!) AND his budget? Rich Bride, Poor Bride is MUCH more realistic. The planners there have to stick to budget as best they can. They may go over a little, but they give it their best shot. And they don't look down their noses at their clients' ideas. I'd like to see each episode include the bride's budget and David's budget. That would really tell the tale!
