• I want to volunteer but don't know how to get started?

1. Enter your ZIP code where it says "Get Started."
2. Go to "Find a Volunteer Opportunity", enter your preferred distance and interest area, then click "Submit."
3. From the selection, click on opportunity that interests you and click on its title for additional details. Next, click "I want to help."
4. Complete registration information and an automatic email will be sent to the volunteer organization notifying them of your interest.
5. Once the organization receives your information, they will outreach to you and get you started.
It's that simple!

• Can anyone register for WE Volunteer?

WE Volunteer is free of charge and open to anyone who wants to volunteer.

• How about if I want to really volunteer, but I have specific interests. Can I find an opportunity to matches my passions?

Absolutely! That's the beauty of WE Volunteer. You can select an opportunity that matches your passion. It's all customizable. There are thousands of opportunities out there so it's important to pick those that work for you. Find an opportunity that matches your skills, interests, and schedule.

• If you love pets, donate your time to an animal shelter.
• Have a green thumb? Help build a community garden.
• You can even take a volunteer vacation and help clean up a wilderness trail in a US national park.
• If you have access to a computer and the Internet coupled with the right skills, you can virtual volunteer online!

• My schedule is so hectic. I'm just overwhelmed. When would I possibly have time to volunteer?

Time is the number one reason why women don't volunteer. Start small. Give an hour or two a month, or maybe just give one full day a year. If you have kids, select a kid friendly volunteer experience and make it a fulfilling and fun day with your family!

• Yes, I volunteered! Can I track my time on WE Volunteer.tv and also share my volunteer story with others?

If you're a new member:

1. Enter your ZIP code where it says "Get Started".
2. Go to "Not Registered?" and click "Register Now!"
3. On the "Create A New Account" page, enter your information.
4. You will be asked to verify your email address by receiving a link to your email address. The message will be sent to the email address provided with instructions on how to verify your new account and complete your registration.
5. Once you've verified your email address, you have completed your registration.
6. Go to instructions below to track your hours.

If you are a returning registered member:

1. Click where it says "Already a registered member?"
2. Go to "Login or Register to Track Your Hours", enter your username and password.
3. Follow the instructions to record the organization and track your hours.
4. You will be asked to verify your email address by receiving a link to your email address. The message will be sent to the email address provided with instructions on how to verify your new account and complete your registration.
5. Once you've verified your email address, you have completed your registration.
6. Go to instructions below to track your hours.

• If I'm already involved in a volunteer program, can my volunteer experience be counted towards WE Volunteer?

Yes. Once you register with WE Volunteer, you can update your volunteer hours as often as you want.

• Can I report and track my progress weekly? Or do I have to wait until I reach my goal to report my volunteer hours?

Yes, you can track your progress on the site by entering your hours as often as often as you like.
