Those mothers get need to get their own lives. Four year olds should be out playing, not dressed up like who knows what trying to imitate adults. I think the whole idea is pretty pathetic. From the looks of the kids they would rather be out playing as well.

I don't like the pageant business but, that seemed either poorly produced or very biased. Just look at the off stage interview with Brook. Absolutely, no personality! I'd hate to see the day she wakes up and finds out she can't sing, no one wants to play with her because she acts like her mother, and she's too blinded to realize where she is and who put her there. The little girl that placed 3rd, that they repeatedly compared her to, was adorable, still has a personality and a chance! Take her and run!
I think these parents are deplorable. What are they running, a puppy mill? I mean, they treat these little girls like a prize winning dog, not like their child. It is disgusting and horrible what they are doing to these children.
They're not doing it for their kids, they're doing it for themselves. How horrid. They should be ashamed of themselves. All they see when they look at their little girls is a $ sign

If you look at Brooke, she seems unhappy. VERY unhappy. And if you listen to her mother, it is no wonder
Brooke's mother is what is known as a full blown "Red Neck".
I was so disappointed that the one child with personality and a seemingly good upbringing (Asia) did'nt win. Brooke's mom was just disqusting with that attitude of being better than others and talking behind peoples back on the subject of other children. Asia's parents obviously have the right ideas to raising a good mannered child who knows right from wrong, Brooke's mom is raising a self centered need to win unhappy child. I hope you read this you UGLY lady. Ugly because of your stinking attitude.
I am so appalled at this & the Little Miss perfect show. While I understand that ignoring the issue isn't the answer, I feel the WE channel would split this type of show with other types of kids, with different lifestyles. A wonderful 4 or 5 yr old swimmer, skier or anything else besides promoting this crap. My 4-year old son is ripping it up as a skier, all on his own desire, without awards, or any incentives like a new car or even without a new bedroom set for his Mom! Somedays he gets some hot chocolate after a really cold day of skiing and he is thrilled and so am I. Pretty amazing.
The only reason these 4-year olds are in this competition is to make their Mom's feel worthy. I can see that these 4 year olds are pretty messed up, as they are discussing whether they like mascara or lipstick better. I will NEVER watch the WE channel again. This IS NOT A HEALTHY competition, and I am amazed this channel is promoting this type of parent behavior. Give me SuperNanny (which is short for learning GOOD PARENTING) instead of 'making my childs' lips fuller' anytime!
I am watching Painted Babies right now and there is a 5 year old named Asia. SHE WAS IN THE CAR AND NOT WEARING A SEATBELT. The parents should be arrested. I am puzzled that the crew filming didn't make her put her seatbelt on. What's the deal?????
First of all, can we send these women into to "what not to wear"? They are setting their children up to have all of the wrong morals and values. They teach them how to be seductive to win over people all before they hit the age of five. These parents are convinced that their children are God's gifts to the earth and they are probably going to do nothing more than to be Vegas showgirls, if theyre lucky. They feel as though the earth revolves around them and that is the worst value to instill in your child. They also sound like characters from "South Park" when they sing, or do their "Talent."
They are setting their children up for failure in the real world that is for sure. It is a sin because the children have no say in their life and are probably going to force their children to do this as well. It is truely the parents fault and they are dispicable and disgusting people. For instance, the women in the watermelon shirt saying that beauty runs the world is the most preposterous statement i have heard in a while. It is also quite ironic that she is not the most attractive women on the planet.
I sincerely feel bad for these children and have immense for thier parents.
Also, you wonder why the south has a problem with inbreeding? Maybe because the start them off in mini-skirts and halter tops and teach them to take their clothes off at the a very early age.
