Picture perfect pet contest 1-24-09
Do some people really think they can vote several times for there own pet and knock everyone out of the competition?????? Seems like a silly thing to do, when others are just putting up there beloved pets for fun. I have noticed that one dog seems to be in the #1 spot everyday. It is a cute dog but a very ordinary picture. Judges decide, not the owners. Am I correct???
LOL I think the person at number one must have a lot of time on her hands. Every time anyone gets close, she just votes them into oblivion. According to the contest rules, it is true that the judges decide. It is not decided by the number of votes, but I don't think #1 knows that. I guess she will find out once the contest is over. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats, plus a foster puppy. One of our dogs is in the contest. There are so many cute pets in this contest, I think the judges are going to have a really tough time. It will be really interesting to see what choices they make. I think it's great that so many people love their pets so dearly. I really enjoy looking at all the pictures and reading what people have written.
This is a confusing contest... On some days the pet in the first spot is a 10 and on other days it is usual pet in the first spot @ a 9.7...
Oh, well, I do have a pet in the contest but have voted for several others that have adorable pictures.. I like the really unique pics... Good Luck everybody and Congrats to whomever the winner will be...I feel know the judges will have a difficult time deciding...

I do not think it is a fair contest either people do vote on the pet everyday my family voted on mine for days staraigt got her up to a 9.8 and now she is a 9.3 I think it is rigged. because how can a pet drop that much that's bull because the people do vote the judges vote the top ten.
Hi everyone! I've really enjoyed seeing so many beloved pets on here. I think they're all cute and it's refreshing to see so many pets that are loved and have a good home. There are so many animals that are neglected and abused. We should all try to do our part, any way we possibly can, to help prevent cruelty to animals. If you see or hear of an animal suffering from abuse or neglect report it to any organization that can help them if you can't help them yourself. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. On a lighter note...it's just a contest and the fortunate pets I've seen on here all seem to have already won!

The current contest ended on Sunday, 2/15 at noon. The judges will choose the winners from among all eligible entries. The ratings are just for fun.
I agree, it's not how your pet rated that determines the winner, it's the judges.
It seems weird that days after the contest has ended that you can still vote.
Hi all - good to see comments from fellow pet owners who've been through the same ups and downs of the contest as I have. Yes, I voted 10 for some cuties who happened along. At the end, I couldn't figure out how my cat seemed to be stuck in quicksand, unable to move, while others were flitting here and there, jumping row over row on the last day. I know I was crazy to keep voting day after day, but it seemed logical, didn't it? I mean they did say the rating counted. So it seemed like a good idea to at least make it on the first page. I just wanted to be huddled with all the pets I thought were really tens on the first page. That seemed to make sense. Oh well. Next time, I'll wait until the last day to enter.It was pretty funny to see some people who thought their pets would win, work like mad to keep on the top rows. I felt sad that some I liked, got trounced and never recovered from page 5 after being on page 1. Good luck with your pets - hope they remain healthy and thanks for all of them.

Harveyboy - the website says to come back to find out the winners. I haven't been notified yet [sniff]. It will be interesting to see what they were looking for. I've been wondering if they wanted generic head shots to use for a lot of different purposes. I didn't think of that earlier, when I chose my first shot. I just chose something downright stunning, if i do say so myself (on behalf of my kitty, of course).
I really enjoyed looking at all of the wonderful entries of everyone's pets. Of course I would like to win, just like everyone else, but...it's up to the judges ...... I guess we just wait for them to decide. Good Luck everyone !!! Where else can you see a dancing cat ?
She always likes to stand up on her hind legs to check out everything ! Both of her kids also like to stand up like this !
I found a post dated Nov. 2008 from another WE TV pet contest where people tried to find the winners and got no response.
I did get a response about the contest, however!
"Thanks for contacting WE tv. Letters notifying the winners of the Picture Perfect Pet Contest were mailed on 2/26/09. They have 2 weeks to return the paperwork and then we will announce the winners on the website. Watch for another pet photo contest coming soon!
