How can I get OVER my boyfriend cheating that happend 2 years ago?
Ive been with my BOYFRIEND for 4 years. 2 years ago he cheated and left me for his aunt husband daughter from a previous marriage., (YES HIS COUSIN). he kept on saying they are not blood related but still. right. so anyways she left him of course and then he went right back to me. an of course i took him back but its been 2 years and i still cant get over it. i bring it up when we fight but not every time we fight but i have in the past. how can i get over it?
My advice to you would be that you have to really take time for yourself and think if you're really able to get over that situation. After all, this is his family member. If you cannot get past it knowing she will never be completely out of his life, it will never work.
My boyfriend of three years cheated on me with porn star exactly a year ago and I'm still not over it but he has been very repentful of it and although there were VERY rough patches along the way, he shows me that he loves me and would never hurt me that way again. The advice I was given was if I were to forgive him, I couldnt keep bringing it up, which I was sooo guilty of doing. If he was late for a date i'd get upset and bring up that situation which hurt us more than it helped.
If he's truly sorry and shows you that he loves you and no one else, take it that he messed up REALLY bad. No one is perfect. As the saying goes, First time shame on them...second time shame on you.
