If she tounged him down well then.. there's no question you did NOT over react. I would be concerned if she is even in fact his actual relative. And how did he react?... ok he was drunk at the time, but when you brought it to his attention, what was his reaction? He should have already approached her as a form of respect and courtesy towards you. If she is really his neice, the situation will never goaway so i'd say speak to your man about how you feel in regards to her. Perhaps he can speak to her which will come off much better if she's a combative person. Or atleast be there as a median to the situation. I'd check the birth certificates to distinguish genealogy as well!!!
