I don't know if it is okay..but here is my opinion on non to the floor dresses...unless your wedding party is all the same size and the EXACT same height..it looks funny when they are all standing together. The dresses will all cut off at theri calfs so if you have one tall one short, one wears really high heals and one wears flats it justs looks silly. Then your wedding party MUST wear all the exact same shoe..HAVE FUN getting averyone to agree. TRUST me to the floor looks BETTER.
Why not? It's your wedding, your vision. Your wedding is a reflection of your personal taste; that applies to your attendants' attire as well. I think a tea-length dress would be an elegant choice, no matter how formal your gown is. Hemlines don't have to match perfectly, nor do shoes. Weddings are about enjoying life and having fun (or at least they should be), not about what looks "right". If you want your maids in tea-length dresses, then that's what you should have.
An added bonus: A shorter dress that a woman actually might get to wear again makes for a very happy bridesmaid!
Sure I don’t see why that wrong. My veil is going to 30 foot long and my b maid’s dresses are not going to be that long.
It’s all about the bride.
