Death in the Desert
I cannot believe how horrible this was to watch and that man who seemed to think that it was all a joke that a child died under his watch. I have heard so many awful things about these camps that are supposed to discipline children. It is sad that this happened but why would anyone wait so long to call 911 or attempt CPR on this child. How could anyone send their child anywhere where there is someone in control with no license, doctorate or any credentials. I understand that some children give their parents problems but even with the problems that I have had with my child, I would never send her to a place like this. Sounds like abuse in the worst form.
yes this man was responsible for the death of this child,but..........have you ever watched your sons at football practice? Most of the coaches I've seen are just as bad at 2 a day practice in August and during the season. how many kids have died during "sports" practice.
Yes , this man was arrogant . I knew he was abusing them children mentally and physically . He was to over see his staff yet he did not . Why would a state allow him to have a facility that take care of children without any training , certifications of child care ,nothing . I blamed the state also . Every state want you to have proper license when taking care of children . These parents were desperate and they did not do any research on this facility . I know I could not give my child to a stranger . I had hard time sending my son away to overnight camp in the summer time . The parent is suppose to protect their children at all times . So many parents want a easy job ,well raising children is not always going to be easy ,love them , introduce them to God , nuture them ,care for them ,spend time with them and communicate with them all the time . I personally enjoyed raising my children it was fun and I love it .
i watched this episode friday night. as i watched the kids that gave their testimonies to the press i do not believe these kids, nor place blame on Mr. Long. first if these kids were raised in the correct way with correct discipline from the parents then there should be no reason these parents should ever have to send these kids to this camp. children's behavior is based upon the parents discipline. if the new age parents would discipline kids the way they used to be then the parents would not have the problems with the kids that they do. spare the rod, spoil the child. discipline your children, dont send them away for someone else to discipline them!!!!!!!!!!
