Fondant
I've never eaten fondant. I read in a recipe section on the internet that fondant doesn't taste good and most people leave it on the plate at weddings. I understand the beauty is why brides what it, however, if it really tastes so bad that people don't eat it, why go to the extra expense and trouble? Does it really taste that bad?

Depending on the brand of fondant used it gives it the flavor. There are some that taste horrible and others taste very good. The only thing is that combined with the buttercream underneath it tends to be very sweet and that is I believe the number one reason most people tend not to eat it.
