This is my favorite episode. The cake is a cute idea for a Bachelor Party but for a wedding, I dont think so. The women who had negative things to say, aint doing nothing but hating. Loved the dress. I wanna know the designer, because it would go perfect for my Princess themed wedding. (or something similar to it.) Congrats & I hope you have a very prosperous marriage.

Brandi was "ghettofabulous" but I enjoyed her episodes too; I loved the idea of the cake she wanted to get her fiance (his last piece) and I nearly died when she asked the girl in the salon for a nail to pick the chicken ou tof her teeth. She was hilarious...

I saw you guys on Judge Penny and I hope all works out. It seemed like your sister wants the best for you. I was saddened to hear about things with your sister and you regarding your mom. But, inspite of it all, you both have succeeded.

This was a BEAUTIFUL WEDDING. The first dance was beyond tasteless. Downright tacky and GHETTO!!! ******************************************** However, I used to watch this show for laughs. Now, the brides are just down right tacky & and too over the top. They don't act like ladies anymore. Why do people think the use of profanity is acceptable and gets you your way. It only makes you look trashy and disrespectful to your self. The "F"word and Bitch is used way too much. Can you make a point without screaming and cursing????

Hi Brandi, I really enjoyed your episodes. I in no way was embarassed by watching it, although you could have done without the nail tip to remove the chicken from your teeth LOL. Anyway, I hear in Dallas you all like to do it big, even if you fell a little short with the money for your wedding, it's ok it happens. At least you didn't take out a second mortgage on your home to do pay for it. I really do not know where to start with this. Brandi I just renewed my wedding vows and everyone has there own vison for there wedding but girl I must say that I would have not belived you if I had not seen you for myself on that episode. I worked with a person with the same attiude and personalitiy as you and I only thought it was one of her it so ironic because her name is Brenda and she calls herself Brandi funny same qualities. I really could not believe that you said and did some of the things you done I must admit your wedding turned out to be pretty but the first dance was verrrrrrrrrrry tacky!!!!! I just hate to see pretty women make such butts out of themselves please learn some sense and some class maybe it will matter in your next marriage or you just go for them guys that tell you you look good you should already know that you look in the mirror I am pretty sure.

I would just like to say Congrats to you Brandi and Mark on your wedding day. Brandi you were a Beautiful bride..Your episode was one of the best I've seen. I've read the post on you and am sorry to hear all the negatives people are saying about you. Yes, your show was very different than the norm bridezillas but, I guess you were just being yourself and I applaud you for that. Don't feel the need to apologize for being yourself. If people feel that you made them look bad then oh well, thats thier issue. You didn't go on the show to represent any one but yourself and your special day and you did that.I look forward to seeing your wedding pics and video. I am going to go to the myspace site now.

I just want to know what these women have to say for themselves. Can they actually justify their actions? Probably not, since the only one of the bridezillas I've seen posting is Lisa from NJ. And she wasn't able to explain anything or justify any of her idiotic behaviors.

BRANDI by far the BEST bridezilla ever, it was hilarious i was rolling on my floor laughing throughout it all. you were so real and funny i loved it. the wine and chicken HILARIOUS, the vajayjay cake FUNNIER, and the dance TOPPING IT ALL OFF AS ENTERTAININGLY TOO HILARIOUS!!!! loved it girly cant wait to watch all the reruns : )
Okay Brandi was embarrasing to me. Her antics weren't cute. Her bridal dance was ridiculous and tacky!!! A bride should act and be treated respectfully. But to have your groom "Backing it up" and spanking you during the bridal dance was just too ghetto fabulous. Frankly, I liked her sister who seemed to have it all together. Wow.....what happened in that house and how did two sisters end up so different.
Aside from the incident where Brandi picked her teeth with the fake fingernail, I thought her show was the best on that I've seen yet this season. I didn't feel like she was being fake or playing up to the cameras. I think if I were to run into her in the mall, she'd be the same way she was on the show. I think she should have her own show....can you imagine that!!! It would be hysterical!!! Unlike many of the Bridezilla shows this season, she was not irrate or belittling to her family and guests at her wedding. She said what she meant and meant what she said and the tears proved that she was human like everyone else. My favorite line yet was at the rehersal when Brandi told her husband that she "wants him to strive for perfection everyday"....just keeping it real!
First and formost i would like to address the people who continue to down and disrespect Brandi and her husband Mark, get off her case because it doesn't matter how professional or classy you feel you are YOU'RE NOT HER. She has her own life to live and god hasn't made a perfect person on this earth yet so get off your high horse and stop looking down on her. Brandis show was really entertaining in many aspects. If you did not enjoy, Tough. The world doesn't revolve around what you don't and do like. I just really think you people bad talking her are extremely too judgemental for anyones liking i'm sure. If you ask me you're the one who's behavior is disgusting. Get a grip already, it's called reality tv for a reason. There will be things that will happen out of the ordinary. Brandi and Mark i very much enjoyed your show and it is very refreshing to see different types of cultures, morals, and accents of the world. Don't be shaken by those with unclean words. Brandi was hysterical! Too many times I watch this show and I have to turn it off because I can't STAND the way the brides treat their grooms, parents, sisters, brothers, friends, etc. and sometimes you can tell that they're doing it for the camera, but sometimes you know that they're like this all the time (Megan, Lisa - you girls are terrible). But Brandi was a breath of fresh air and I loved how real she was. Sure, she had to have wine that goes with fried chicken, a vajayjay cake for her groom, and used a nail to pick her teeth. But she was completely, 100% real, and it was so refreshing! Also, was anyone else dying when she told the world how Mark proposed? Oh jeez. Thanks for a great show!!!

No matter how one views this episode, it is truly disappointing to know that a woman of any color and any affiliation who has pride and self awareness would stoop to this level of "entertainment" for the sake of others and a free vacation. I was appalled, sad and frustrated. "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." Reality is for real--TV or not.

Your episodes were hilarious and a breath of fresh air. I really enjoy watching brides who "keep it real". Many of the comments about you acting "ghetto" and shameful need to stop. This is a tv show ladies and Brandi provided some much needed comedy and entertainment to this show.

I have to admit I was horrified by Brandi's behavior until I read these posts. I think Brandi has a wacky sense of humor and in real life would not be picking her teeth with a fake fingernail or ordering a vajayjay cake! (oh god, would you??) I'm sure her Mrs. Texas sister was only in her crown and banner because the producers told her to. Lord knows she wouldn't go around like that all the time. What a shame that their parents have both passed away. I hope Brandi's new husband adopts her son as his own. I was so embarrassed for Brandi at the dinner taking up a collection, still wonder how real that was. Money management isn't her best trait if it was! But at many bridal showers and weddings there is a "money tree" or a box for envelopes with money, and that is perfectly acceptable. Hang in there, Brandi. I like your style!
Ghetto!!! I felt that the whole show was awful including her sister. It was not her responsibility to try to out-shine her. I started feeling bad for Brandi until she opened her mouth, and then it was a wrap!!! I would have let her do her own wedding planning. It seemed as though her sister wanted the spotlight and the 15 minutes of fame. I even felt ashamed for being an african-american woman for about 30 seconds. Then I snapped out of it because I was taught better than that. She should take a class on etiquette. I have never seen any sorority anywhere act like that. It's one thing to be yourself but she could have practiced a little more restraint on a national television show. But if she didn't know she was making herself look that way then she will never know. I couldn't even finish the program. Then to try to take up a collection at the dinner and show ignorance and attitude at the same time... I pray I never have to experience that during a rehearsal dinner or anywhere else. Maybe she should have just thrown a BIG OLE CHICKEN FRY and served Boone's Farm!!!

I went to a wine tasting event held by my company last weekend. They had someone teach bout wine/food pairings. When we got to the sparkling wines, the sommelier said that sparkling wines go well with greasy and fatty foods, so he often has a glass of champaigne with fried chicken and french fries. I thought of my girl Brandi immediately!!! :>

I am appalled that so many have taken such cheap shots by saying that someone isn't "Worthy" of your Sorority. The last time I checked, all 4 African-American sororities were founded on principles of SISTERHOOD and were formed to UPLIFT black women. Sisterhood , as I learned it, means loving another for who she is, understanding her struggle, and applauding her accomplishments, not demeaning, gossiping or attempting to hurt her. Sorry that some of ya'll must have missed that lesson in Sororities 101.

First and foremost, I must say that Brandi, the epidsode was hilarious. Why? Because of all the things you did and or said. I must say during the entire episode you were beautiful but the things that came out of your mouth were horrible! Some of your actions were just tasteless. This you now know. However, I think Brandi did try to keep a low profile regarding her membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. I think "WE" saw the picture and recoginzed it- maybe other Greeks did as well but we need to bring our sister back to reality and let her know this behavior was and is unacceptable and she embarrassed herself along with our sisterhood. So Brandi, next time (when in the spotlight) act accordingly and represent yourself as a lady and an Alpha Kappa Alpha woman.

Get a grip! Brandi is just "keeping it real." Some people are as smart as they can be. Brandi is obviously as smart as she wants to be. She's beautiful and quite intelligent based on her credentials. The Bridezilla show is meant to be funny. If you want a more serious wedding show, then tune in to Platinum Weddings! I love you Brandi and have cracked up at least 5 times watching episode #9. I think it's ridiculous that some AA people feel that we have to "be on our best behavior" when in the public eye. TRUE EVERYONE should have some sense of decorum/manners when in public, but to think that we all have to be some sort of "Stepford black person" is stupid. EVERYBODY of EVERY race has somebody like Brandi in their family...someone who is themselves, REGARDLESS of the situation & doesn't care what anyone else thinks/has to say. I used to feel like that, but then I realized I was talking about my cousins, aunts and uncles, people I loved & that cracked me up & taught me valuable lessons about life and being myself and seeing things from a different perspective. Brandi had the courage to be who she is & NOT be disrespectful of her fiance or family even when she disagreed with them which is a lot more than I can say for the MAORITY of these other brides they've shown...
OMG.... Please tell me Brandi is not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. After a historical and momentous Centennial I return to find one of my sorors acting a plum fool on TV. I, like a few others, was somewhat shocked at your outrageous behavior on the show. After reading all these posts though I have gained much more respect for you and your journey in life thus far. I truly commend you for all your achievements thus far. Your parents must be looking down proud of you.
I do however agree with the lady about being cautious about your behavior as a educator. I too work in education and you do have to be mindful at times about what you put out there, especially as a black women. As a sista myself working in Los Angeles, I have seen some of really qualified black women not get promoted to administrative position for which they are truly qualified, for ambiguous reasons. You really don't want to give someone a reason to deny you something you have worked so hard to achieve. I
I believe the lady who posted wanted you to keep that in mind.
Anyway it was nice to see a bride who showed respect for her future husband and was not behaving like a 2 year old.

I didn't think it was possible but Brandi is the worst bride I have ever seen on this show in terms of no class or no manners. She wasn't the worst bitch I have seen she just really has NO class at all. The girl was stuffing her face in a nail salon. I mean hello that can not be hygenic.
Oh, by the way, I am getting married in May and would love to know where you got that dress, the bodice was so unique, I would love to have something similar to that. Of course I would respect the womanly code and not try to copy your dress, but I would love to start with a bodice similar to yours.
Brandi, your dress was too gorgeous, and your hair was on point throughout the whole show. Question, did you post a video of your reception since WE cut your dance short? How can they introduce you as a "booty-shaking" bride and not show the "booty-shaking" dance? Boo on them for that one. They should have showed your entire reception instead of spending time on that evil, whatever her name was...You were so entertaining. For everyone talking about Brandi being ghetto and that she can't be anyone's teacher acting that way, my sister went to college with Brandi and they were in the education program together. She does in fact teach in the Dallas School District. Second of all, if you knew her life and all the things she has been through you would not be saying some of the stuff you all are saying. She has lost both her parents and the father of her son. Before she married this man, her only immediate family was her son and sister. So sometimes you have to not read so much into the show. For Brandi, keep doing you soror.

Mpsai, don’t feel bad. You said it now! Everybody gotta love good gossip! I just don’t publicize it. Sometimes it is very hard for me to talk about. But here I go America, My family was very well known in Dallas around the 70s and 80s. Yes, my father sold drugs and my mother was a drug user. And I had absolutely nothing to do with my mother’s death. (Imagine how I have to deal with that in high school and being a school leader cheerleader, student council, vice president, and etc…) Although, growing up I still must say I have had a damn good life.
I tell my students every year my family story which most of them struggle with the same issues. This is my favorite lesson to my students (Never give up on life. If I can make you can too.)Just keep it real!
Yes, I lost them at a very young age. (I missed them so much!) That’s ok; God is good to me. He has blessed me with many gifts... Mark, Big sister, Friends, Kids, job, and my health...I never would have made it with him (Thanks Marvin Sapp!)

My posting this was completely thoughtless and misguided. Someone in my family told me the story as we watched Brandi's episode last night, and I was just passing on that bit of gossip. After posting it, I felt bad and knew I shouldn't have done, so now I just want to apologize. I'm sorry, Brandi.
I'm sorry, but even if this were true, which there is no way for any of us to know or not, I CANNOT BELIEVE you would post something so hurtful and personal about someones mother who has passed away on a message board about a television show. I'm sorry, but the fact that we put ourselves out there on TV for people to see a small piece of our lives, doesn't give people the right to try and search out and post stories about portions of our lives that have nothing to do with the show whatsoever. Brandi, stay strong girl. If you have to, ignore the boards and don't come back.

I was shocked when I viewed the show last evening. I noticed a familiar Alpha Kappa Alpha picture on Brandi's wall. Needless to say I was sin awe. I could not believe this was my sorority sister that was acting so "urban".
She was everything people mock about our culture. How many educated women eat chicken in the nail shop and then request a nail to remove the chicken from their teeth? That is a shame. Not to mention that she obviously couldnt afford the wedding. She should have been ashamed for the way the was soliciting her guests to make "donations". That is so pathetic. The cake tasting (You got any wata....it's water sweetie) was so sad. I could go on and on about this pathetic young lady but I hope seeing how bad she looks on television will make her get some class!
