I have to say...I've been watching reruns of the very first season of Bridezillas....wow WEtv, way to trickle down to the masses!!!!!!
The women on the first season were educated, accomplished, articulate, ATTRACTIVE and could actually AFFORD the lavish weddings they were planning.
Ok so they were a little neurotic--after all it IS their wedding they're planning.
But wow, what have we come down to...obese, broke, uneducated,selfish, pottymouthed brats that only goodness knows, how they found men to date them much less MARRY them.
I guess to each his own. Bridezillas will be back again next season and I admit, I'll be chomping at the bit for every episode....Hmmm. I wonder what MY issues are...lol
Its totally true, the first seasons were alot more about stressed brides blowing off steam than the Jerry Springer bridezillas the show has morphed into. The last couple seasons have brought forth every ghetto white trash bride they could find under rocks, each trashier, more ignorant, and classless than the last. I too was watching older episodes and though they seemd kind of boring compared to what they've gotten us used to. After Karen, and Lisa I think,the blonde from NNJ who shredded her veil and totally scammed that trip out of her poor husband who is stupid enough to be marrying her AGAIN, after those two horrible abominations, the other girls dont seem nearly as bad.
I recall the first season of "Bridezillas" too, particularly 43 year old Macy's shopgirl Julia, whose mantra was "It's my day and I'm a princess!" If that's educated, accomplished and articulate, then in the words of an old blues song, "grits ain't groceries, eggs ain't poultry, and Mona Lisa was a man."
I agree!!! I said the same thing in an earlier post. The early episodes of Bridezilla's weren't bad. So I have to believe that they're purposefully looking for ignorant bitchy women AND egging them on to boot.
Like I said, I think I'm done with this show. Especially after watching Karen. That was my limit.
